It’s amazing he’s in such good shape considering how hard he was living in the 60s 70s & 80s. If you see any video of him from the 70s & 80s he was completely bombed + he was a chain smoker.
Great interview! It is a thrill to see Ringo sitting and talking with you across the table. Thanks for hanging in and staying on the air through the years. keeping the great music in the spotlight. ✨🌞✨
Legend (yet as of this moment, coincidentally/ironically, just 8500 views...) Yet, the best 8500 people, surely...and I just heard the whole thing...(And somehow it made me really happy...)
Ringo and Steve must be hilarious together. You gotta love Ringo he doesn’t put out quality music but that’s not what it’s about for him. He just loves the process of getting together with musicians and getting something down.
loved the storyy with Elton's mum and how they ended up in a pub, 'cause Elton didn't play his greatest hits... just imagine: Ringo and Elton John's mum... 🙂
When Lennon was the lead singer on Beatle songs, he largely wrote the song & the same w/McCartney which is why he got petty in wanting some of the compositions he solely wrote to be changed to McCartney/Lennon. Everyone knows in songwriting teams, everything is not 50/50. Some of the most famous songwriting teams had one partner that only wrote the words/poem, for example, yet did not know how to put those words to music so that was the partner’s job. And virtually anyone can be given song writing credits yet are not true songwriters per se. There are many components to the finished product in a song down to the record producer
We had 20 mins and he was there to promote his ep. I had a question about the Let it Be reissue and how he feels about that film after Peter Jackson’s Get Back, but didn’t have time. 🤷🏼♂️✌🏼
There was a Ringo interview with Dan rather years ago and they were discussing ringsos battle with alcohol. Rather asks if Ringo was a jack Daniel's guy and Ringo said he preferred brandy because he figured if he was ever stranded in the alps he'd be ok because of the dogs with the kegs around their necks.....Rather thought he was serious and it's probably the funniest exchange in interview history.
If any of you watching this are Marketing or Business Administration students or work in the field, THIS video is an excellent example of how you sell a lousy product (RIngo Starr's albums) to an eager public by stroking over and over the "legend" of the Beatles. In his entire career with the band, Ringo only wrote 2 songs (with a lot of help from his friend George Harrison), and sang only on a handful. His drumming skills fit like a glove for the band's music, but overall, his solo career exists only because of his other skill: Continuing to successfully leveraging his Beatles connection from 54 years ago in order to get other rock stars to write him songs and to perform on his records. The product is as hollow as today's pop music, and as forgettable, BUT "It's A Beatle". No other former drummer or band member has been as successful as Ringo Starr. There are tons of similar videos praising and celebrating some product that will make you wish it yours, and upon playing it, you won't mind having been ripped off because of The Beatles, man! And next year, there'll be another Ringo EP, single or album which will be bought by the gullible fans everywhere. Paul McCartney is too rich and distant to touch. George and John are dead. Ringo is all we have left. Let's celebrate, make the most of it, and buy his awful records. If YOU can duplicate Ringo's formula at your company, your career will take off like a rocket. Study these videos, learn from them. Apply them to your projects. Peace and Love. Give Peace A Chance. Love Is All You Need.
@@fletchsrv Yeah but that's Macca. Richy at least doesn't go harsh black like some old rockers. He at least goes a shade lighter over time. He can do him if it makes him happy.
@@kcampbell3045 It should even be a shade or two lighter than what’s he’s got. Looks too harsh. Even though a color was your natural color back in the day, it’s not becoming by the time you’re older. Even females look harsh in dark shades
The mics were on our lapels. It took place in a hotel suite at the Sunset Marquis in Hollywood. Ringo was set up there for the day for a half dozen interviews. We were the only radio station there, and I feel beyond fortunate to have spent a little time with Ringo.
Ringo is going to be 84 at this next birthday and he is as sharp as a tack. Amazing man.

Nice and relaxed. Now that’s how you have a conversation
Great interview! It is a thrill to see Ringo sitting and talking with you across the table. Thanks for hanging in and staying on the air through the years. keeping the great music in the spotlight. ✨🌞✨

✌️❤️ Ringo is the GREATEST
That was a really great interview!
Ringo should play "You got to get up to get down" live, is a really fun song.
Great interview! Thanks for not just asking him a bunch of tired Beatles questions
Excellent interview! 🙂
Great interview ❤️

How can Ringo be 82?? Incredible dude…🤩🤩🤩
He isn't. He's 83.
Right?! He looks and sounds amazing!
Nice to see a conversation with someone informed rather than an air head just echoing what he says and smiling inanely
Still enjoy listening to his drumming on the Beatles music.
you're here because you are a radio station and back in the day, DJ's made rock stars
Already ordered "Crooked Boy" CD for release on May 31, 2024!
Ringo and Steve must be hilarious together. You gotta love Ringo he doesn’t put out quality music but that’s not what it’s about for him. He just loves the process of getting together with musicians and getting something down.
Ringo you should do “ Gonna need someone “ live . It’s superb - one of the most commercial things you’ve ever done 👍
he is talking about modern times but still sounds like "back in my day" energy.
loved the storyy with Elton's mum and how they ended up in a pub, 'cause Elton didn't play his greatest hits... just imagine: Ringo and Elton John's mum... 🙂
Oh how original to have started a project during the pandemic…I built a bicycle shed and did some decorating 😂
Great video!!!! Who is performing with Ringo in the All Star Band?
Cool
Would be great to know in detail who wrote the songs the beatles performed.
Google has your answers.

was surprised Let It Be Film wasn't mentioned

Nic please try to do an in depth interview with Jon Bon Jovi, specially get him to talk about the first 6 albums of Bon Jovi. Thxs!
343 views in 1 day? Dang.
It's a shame that Ringo don't play any new songs anymore, he has a lot of great tunes since the 90's and unfortunately he doesn't play them
Please Love Broccoli

I don't know anything. But Sir, you sound jealous. Or that's the way it reads to me.
Do recent generations even wear wristwatches-I like the way the old timers still wear them
I hope he announces another Illinois show thats much easier to attend! The New Lenox show is still limited and unfriendly for residents of the town
I'm not 97.4% certain, but I have a sneaking suspicion that Ringo dyes his hair.
Get a life

Those trousers he's wearng!!? 😱
Ringo Starr’s black hair is greatly indebted to Jerry Lewis and the 26 years of telethons to raise close to $1b for such research.
Hmmm, do you think that Beetles drummer uses hair dye? Isn't he in his 80s?
88.5 FM radio. No microphones no studio mixing board. This is somebody's office or house

There are a lot op people who think very different ‘bout the so called pandemic…✌️
Linda who?
Linda Perry
This site is censoring me like crazy. CANNOT get vital information out. Do you all know this?!
if you want to live a long time, play music
We all love Ringo but I wish he’d stop pronouncing ‘and’ as ‘end’!
Hey Ringo don't be such a wimp. You say you left the house 8 times during the pandemic I left about a thousand times and I am not even vaccinated.
It's time to give up on celebrity's.
Precisely. I left the house whenever I felt like talking a nice stroll, or go for a drive . . . and b*ll*cks to anyone who had a problem with it!
@sirbarnabyst.johntoffingto9017 the whole thing was bollocks.
Paul was all the talent.
Ringo....lol
Ringo's adventures and activities are of no interest to me. BORING.
Why are you here then?
RINGO IS SO SO BORING
That’s ok, he is an icon at the highest level.
true Paul is the one with real stories.
To you, not to me.
Troll
These days he looks and sings better than McCartney.
I wonder if Ringo had trouble getting toilet paper during the pandemic?
He had"drum"rolls!!!
And paper towels
