i prefer superbloom over iridescent, and TWIE is one of my top albums all time, so it goes to TWIE For me but its not easy both amazing albums and amazing bands.
edit: iridescent is pretty fucking great tbh
Iridescent was the first album I ever bought physically and there’s a reason for that. Every song is so unbelievably amazing, especially panopticon and sound of silence
this is such a fun video concept, if there are more videos like this then i’m definitely going back to watch it, i love both of these albums and ive seen both bands live so im very split between who but id probably say currents wins for me

Regardless of the winner or which songs went against which songs, this format is really cool to be able to see the big differences between sounds and production styles across different bands.

Two of my favorite albums recently. I think I listen to them more than anything else! That being said. I recently started listening to some older all time favs of mine. Drew, you have to listen to the band Shadow of the Colossus. Both the self titled and End Game are in my top 5 albums of all time. Highly recommend and probably the most underrated band ever.

Silent Planet clears in this matchup and it’s not exactly close. However, if this was The Place I Feel Safest VS Everything Was Sound, it would be an insane matchup and I’m not sure who would win tbh
Totally agree. If it was The Place I Feel Safest, this would be a very hard choice. I guess I just like the more progressive sound.

@@DrewFortune97 pilled is like being hyper fixated. Obviously it's all subjective and they're def good people. I just have seen the same sentiments from those two in particular every time you do one of these VS. I'm def gonna catch the next stream tho. All the ones I've participated in have always been really fun
@@DrewFortune97 as soon as never there almost lost to a mid intro track, I knew silent planet was going to win. Never there has more streams than half of silent planet’s discography’s songs, and it’s an intro. You’re right about them being mental and you’re also right about all the currents slander, I’m seeing a lot of it too and I don’t really understand it. And I love both bands, I have 20+ liked SP songs on my Spotify- for the record.
I get it, both albums are great in their own right, but how ridiculously biased does chat have to be to genuinely make 1-1-2 vs never there close, about half of silent planets wins were literally by 1 point, when better days and a good chunk of currents songs absolutely cleared, the amount of difference those 3-4 guys going on huge currents hate rampage for 0 reason made is absolutely mental ngl

I cannot fathom that Terminal lost. Believe me, Monsters is my favorite song off The Way It Ends, but Terminal is one of the most transformative songs I’ve ever heard. It takes you places when you listen to it. It’s a wave of sound that washes you far away from shore in the best way

Personally, TWIE is the worst Currents album (its not a bad album, but besides Monsters I never get back to it at all), so its an easy choice for me.
