      She is pushing her own narrative and she omits very important historical points including the overthrow of the Ukrainian government in a previous broadcast and the question is do you honestly believe that the Ukrainian people want AUS installed Neo nazi white supremacistic leadership and the answer is probably no so I don't think that they have political support of the people in Ukraine.
      And we know they don't have the support of the political arm because the US was circumventing the president of Ukraine when it was supplying weapons to the Ukrainian military. The US used the Ukrainian military and its connections to it to control the presidency with threat of a Civil War. It actually'll fact the US boxed in zalenski And fully control him and it's quite evident and she mentions nothing about that.

      @@florahiggins9713 Carlson and Cruz might feel too at home in Russia, where they'd be handsomely rewarded for repeating Russian propaganda on TV. Send them to Ukraine instead. Strap them to an electrical substation in an urban area that still doesn't have missile defence. Leave a webcam there so we can all enjoy them pondering on the subject with Ukrainian passers by. As a Brit/European I can only imagine what a Ukrainian might be thinking but something along those lines would no doubt seem like a suitable educational opportunity and valuable experience here in the real world.
      As an American - and particularly if I were a parent in a community that's been blighted by gun violence - I'd give a lot of thought to a gallows and a good piece of hemp rope. I''ve no doubt that both have fully earned it in the eyes of many.
      If a foreigner killed as many Americans as the things that these guys openly support then they'd be considered a legitimate target for many with a Stars and Stripes hanging in front of their home. And to openly sympathise with people who themselves fund a state TV channel (and tightly control its content) of a hostile state that openly debates attacking American cities and killing millions of Americans with nuclear weapons is, in my view, nothing short of being traitor. When these same people undermine servicemen and servicewomen in the United States military, how can one possibly avoid that conclusion?
      As a foreigner I'm lost for words when I think that these people still enjoy freedom, leave alone sky high ratings on Fox News or sit in the US Senate. If they were from the Middle East they'd probably be wearing a bright orange boiler suit and enjoying a vacation somewhere in Cuba by now.

      If you bothered to look at a brief sampling of Ukraine History from the last 100 years, you might notice how much development Russia has invested in Ukraine?
      You might be surprised at how many Russians actually live in Eastern Ukraine since WW2?
      If you view history of the region over a few centuries, you begin to notice that Ukraine area has been a victim of many Empires conquest?
      But when we begin to look at the US desire to weaponize Energy and sell European Consumers LNG at outrageous prices, and the ability of Russia to provide cheap gas to Europe, we might notice an economic trend that might make us question the validity of installing a Puppet Government, and killing Civilians in Donetsk for over 8 years?
      Facts do matter, the US State Department has used lies like the Domino Theory, Yellow Cake, Iran Contra, or even the word Democracy as if they actually believed in the possibility that those terms were facts?
      We should understand that since overcoming Spain, and taking a few Colonies from them, we have become pretty good at the Colonial exploitation that the Declaration of Independence protested?

      Daniel, perhaps you realize that Russia slaughtered millions of peoples including Ukrainians, which suffered this twice and now a third time. Russia populates other countries with Russians where they've genocidally eradicated the indigenous people. THAT DOES NOT MAKE THAT COUNTRY RUSSIAN. NOR DOES SPEAKING RUSSIAN AS YOUR FIRST LANGUAGE MAKE a person RUSSIAN FIRST. If you disagree, let's agree to disagree.

    Estimates for Russian casualties are about 180-200k. Operator Starsky says that they count the dead by drone, and factor in desertions and wounded. Putin sees destroying civilian homes and infrastructure as a means to increase the refugee burden, and probably resentment towards these refugees. Which tragically is happening in my country Ireland, admittedly with a small portion of our society.

    As a German, I am really embarassed by the speed with which the decision to send tanks was done. Apparently, to get chancellor Scholz to commit to something or even say something definitive is more difficult than nailing a pudding to the wall. On top of the late decision, the lack of foresight is very appaling. As far as I know, no efforts have been made to ramp up the production of Leopards. This should have happened in the summer or at the latest in fall. Even without the decision or even the intent to send Leopards to Ukraine, it would have been a good idea to stock up, in particular the latest variant of the Leopard, the A7V. Iirc around 3500 Leopards built in total, latest variant A7V in the low hundreds (fun fact: A7V is the official designation of the first German tank ever, back in WW1). In Germany, we have new tank designs coming up, which however will take around another ten years or so until they are ready. For now, the Leopard 2 is still a very good design and likely among the best tanks in the world and available in relatively large numbers (for western tanks) in quite a lot of allied militaries; they would probably able to have more.
    Hopefully the replacement of the failed former secretary of defense Lamprecht with Pistorius will change the speed with which we in Germany prepare, but I fear the real blocker that needs dislodging is Scholz.

    • @jimmyhyun8546
      @jimmyhyun8546 Рік тому +1

      I also heard Germany is causing delays in parts needed from other countries donating Leopards. They need the parts to quickly upgrade their Leopards so they can send them to Ukraine. The best way to help Ukraine is for us citizens in the West to fully support helping them.

    • @quackivonquackenstein2398
      @quackivonquackenstein2398 Рік тому

      @@jimmyhyun8546 Could be part of the reason, but I don't know about this. I follow US news more closely than german news sources, and I have not heard of this one. However, what I heard is that the state of our military is not good, in particular long underfunding has led to low numbers of operational vehicles. In addition, after the fall of the wall, the better deal for us was to have friendly neighbors who we supply with our weaponry. At one point in the 80s we had around 2500 Leopard II ready (iirc), now it is a bit more than one tenth of that. A few of those went back to Rheinmetall, the others were sold to friendly militaries. Those Leopards which are out there exist in a number of variants, A4 (late 80s variant), A5 (turret front uparmored), A6 (longer barreled gun), A7(V) (the latest). So, the situation is definitely complicated and the specifics of the tanks could be a reason Germany was hesitant, but I suspect there are others, like a) the currently ruling party has traditionally strong ties to Russia, b) the optics of german tanks fighting in Ukraine are really bad, and/or c) we are even now not mentally ready to take the lead in Geopolitics. There are other reasons as well ...

He lived in Westphalia which was an independent Catholic bishopric prior to the Napoleonic War and was geographically, linguistically and culturally closer to Netherlands. And then with Napoleon, that region was annexed to France (they were briefly involuntary French citizens). France lost, Prussia switched sides to join Britain and got the lion's share of northern Germany including my ancestral home as a result of the Congress of Vienna. Update a few generations later, my teenage grandfather was ready for conscription and left his home and the future unified Germany forever.

But the EU view was when he was not stood up to then it was a foregone conclusion that he was going to do something like this to Ukraine .
