The end of the year is also time for my exams start, so I spend my time studying and we don't have a day off expect January 1st for new year ಥ_ಥ but I listen top music's of year, buy gift for my friend and write new year resolutions every year ^_^
Haru, don’t be so hard on yourself about your weight! It’s completely normal for young adults to weigh more than they did when they were in high school! People keep growing into their mid 20’s, puberty doesn’t magically stop at age 18. Be kind to yourself, you are young and still growing up!
I love your vlogs, they so comfortable! I learn Japanese, because in future i want to work and live there, your videos help me to understand more Japanese culture, that's motivate me to work harder! Thank you for making these videos, i hope it will be more in new year! 😊❤
Haru, I find the Japanese religion so fascinating. While I don’t quite understand it, I love how you go to say hi to your grandmother and do what you do while there. I would love to understand why you light the candle, the incense, and tap the bowl to make it ring! You have a beautiful life in Japan and don’t worry about the extra weight you look great!
I loved watching how you & your family celebrate new years! Thank you for sharing with so much detail, I feel like I was visiting with you lol. I love how you greet your grandmother, it made me tear up. I lost my grandfather in 2021 and I have a hat of his that I talk to as if he were there with me, so seeing you kneel at your grandmother's memorial was sweet. I wish my family had something similar. As for new years, sometimes our families get together to celebrate, but we do not do anything special regarding food or gifts. I am from Ohio in the U.S. and on new years eve I will have a glass of champagne with my husband and go to bed early LOL. We do not like to stay up late, so we treat it mostly as any other day and kiss the next day with a "Happy New Year!" Most other people stay up until 12AM and light fireworks here in the US (sometimes waking me up lol). My family used to light fireworks, but since my dad is older he hasn't seemed interested. Not that I'm complaining, I like my sleep!😂 The Soba looked tasty! You said it was your turn to make the soba this year, how does your family decide who cooks it next?
Kia Ora Haru, Im Rose from New Zealand and I’ve recently came upon your short videos. I find the simplicity of your life really rewarding. I usually don’t comment on much videos I watch but I appreciate what you create. You have made me feel inspired myself. I can’t wait for more content.
It took me so long to have an afternoon free to finally enjoy this video, but it's good to see how other families enjoy their holidays. I always look forward to watching these videos, because they are peaceful and let me take time to rest out of a hectic week.
I was very touched when I saw your grandfather and then you greeted your grandmother, I lost my grandfather when I was in school and seeing this has made me remember him. You are a lovely, Haru, your content is gorgeous and quality, I know you will go far. And stop worrying about calories, you're so cute.
Not to be exaggerating but watching your vlogs lately gives me a piece of mind. It really makes me feel like living. Everyday I am just surviving and overthinking, that I dont stop to look at the sky and appreciate it. Watching these peaceful vlogs open my eyes to a lot of things. This new year was nothing special to me, to me it felt like a cycle being repeated again. But slowly I'll try to view myself and the world better i hope :') because that's not the case right now. Being alone and peaceful is great Haru, finding amazing people like you is difficult these days. Live a good life as you are now :> And I wish you all the best with everything! Happy new year!
Happy New Year, Haru! In our culture we usually stay with the family during Xmas & New Year's Eve/Day. We also prepares dishes that we usually eat during Xmas & New Year's Eve, like Pasta: Carbonara/Spaghetti, Ham, Queso de bola, Fruit Salad, Graham, etc. And for some households they usually have liquors like Brandy, Beer or Wine to celebrate their Xmas or New Year's Eve. As u said in this video you tend to eat less during this holiday seasons, lol its the same with me. But of course I always do my daily workout routines and jogging to burn out some calories and fats. Anyways, stay safe and good luck with your life!🤝🍀
Dude Haru is an absolute legend and they the reason why I wanna move to Japan!! Also I would love to be friends too which would be super cool for real!
Thats the Problem haha u want to be friends haha Japan people introverted like Germans they not like to have a lot of friends cuz when you have a lot of friends ur calm life is gone :P
I love the video! In Germany, New Year’s Eve/day isn’t really connected with such cultural or religious traditions. But it’s very common to do Raclette in the evening (kind of a table grill) and then stay up until midnight and after to watch the fireworks. For younger people going out and party is more in common and much alcohol. On the next morning, the first day of the new year everybody’s got a hangover 😂
Have you given me Super Thanks before? Thank you for always supporting this channel. I often hide things in my closet, but last month I gathered up the courage to clean it out for the first time in several months lol
Haru I love your videos so much their so peaceful and calming. I live in England so it’s refreshing to see how different cultures celebrate New Years. Here in London it’s mostly about fireworks and party’s. Thank you for taking the time to make these videos. 💕
Hello Haru, How are you ? Wish you and your family the best of everything and all best thing will come true for you all. I am from USA, Los Angeles California. You don't know what "fromage" is, it is cheese in French language.

found you channel on new year's eve and I was so immersed by the peaceful pace you live your life. its refreshing and I am working on enjoying things the way you do. i was having ozouni (im from Brazil, Japanese family) and wondering whether haru would have it for new year's day too! I was happy to see your video, I enjoyed it throughly :) oh, and I also have 22y so I was happy to find out im in good luck this year keep your great work up, haruu
Just keep moving and replace some of the things like beer with a spirit and a tonic water or replacing sugary foods with a small bar of dark chocolate or some dates. :) small things can make a big difference over a long period of time. Instead of say 2 slices of bread, I’d have one. I’d still get my fix for my craving but in a smaller dose. That way I can be content and not crave binge eating something. I also eat before I go out shopping so I don’t feel I need to suddenly buy fast food.
Such a sweet, real video of the new year with family and loved ones. Thanks Haru, for one thing I learned more about soba noodles and the different composition of buckwheat and wheat. Happy New Year!
Hello Haru! I just discovered your channel but from the things i’ve seen I firmly believe you have an amazing soul. Please let yourself acknowledge the body it inhabits as truly beautiful as well. Best wishes and happy new year
Haru, you're great just the way you are! Instead of focusing on your weight, focus on living a happy and fun life! Happy new year and thanks for the always fun and calming videos❤
Thanks for sharing your routine and life in Japan, I lived there for 17 years and I miss it so much!! Wish you a wonderful year Haru! Hugs from Brazil!!
Nice video, just 2 tips for the cooking, a little salt in the water and a lid, makes it boil faster anf if the cuttingboard is slippery, fold a papertowel, wet it a little an put it underneath.
It was a pleasure to watch your video, thank you for sharing. I agree that we need to cherish the little moments in life before they are gone. Happy New Year

Thank you Haru for this video! I really enjoyed seeing you and your family celebrating the new year. (I’m also very grateful to your parents and grandpa because they let you record the video with them present, but of course you are very respectful about their privacy.). In my area of the southern US, it is still somewhat of a tradition on New Year’s Day to eat collard greens (a vegetable like bok-choi but with much larger green leaves) and black-eyed peas (actually a bean with a black spot or “eye”). The collards were said to bring prosperity because the green leaves reminded people of the green reverse of US currency (bank notes). The peas were supposed to represent coins. I think this is common in other cultures. Thank you Haru for showing us Japanese traditions in such a thoughtful way. I hope 2025 is a happy, healthy and prosperous year for you. I will also resolve to lose weight lol!
I’m so happy you uploaded today ! I just woke up 😅 . I discovered your channel yesterday and I binged it 😅 . I love your content and I hope you keep uploading it ❤😊

When will u add new video:3? I hope your begging of new year is great and pls don’t worry abt calories u re fine! I’m also at uni and soon is deadline of exams ah. Your channel just pop up and I’ve been watching your videos for like an hour. You seem to me very chill and cool guy:) My brother probably is gonna visit Japan this year and just thought abt it, what’s a funny coincidence. If u wanna talk or whatever im here for u, your new friend from Poland:)
As a tip for slippery cuttingboards, put a slightly damp paper towel or cloth under it. It will stop the cuttingboard from moving, a lot nicer to work with and alot safer!
Happy New Year Haru! I'm happy because the weather is cold and I got to watch another video of yours. The weather in Brazil is so hot all year round lol, I have to appreciate this cold weather (even if I'm sick). I will wish you a great year!
Happy new year! How do you spend New Year's Day normally??

Nah u a glazzzzzzer
Worry about your calories dude!! 😭 it’s a MUST, just eat healthy tbh
@@yukavfx worrying too much and blaming yourself for eating "unhealthy" food can lead to eating disorder
I would not obsess about the calories. But perhaps more fresh fruits and vegetables, lower Valley options?

As a tip for slippery cuttingboards, put a slightly damp paper towel or cloth under it. It will stop the cuttingboard from moving, a lot nicer to work with and alot safer!
usuful info!! Thanks!
Happy New Year Haru! I'm happy because the weather is cold and I got to watch another video of yours. The weather in Brazil is so hot all year round lol, I have to appreciate this cold weather (even if I'm sick). I will wish you a great year!
