Late to the party but this is a super helpful video for this matchup, I was looking for an answer to Garen because playing like a weenie with grasp just felt like an autoloss if Garen knows what he’s doing.
What do you think of doing barrier and flash; it works for me. Any shield absorbs any amount of true damage as long is its one action. So Garen doing 1000 true damage will be blocked by any sized shield. It helps especially post 6 all ins
I've never done it, but maybe I will give it a try. I think I would prefer ignite because it's more aggressive, but yes barrier would definitely help to cancel out the damage from his R.
I've recently wondered about going this setup coz Jax does not outscale Garen in 1v1 by farming safely. At least that's what I feel. Very nice content.
Exactly! If you go even you lose as time goes on, so it can be worth it to play aggressively early when Jax is stronger. Just keep in mind that if you do fall behind with this setup, it's even worse lmfao
really wish you didnt jump cut the most important part of the lane here.. Trying to successfully 3 stack into him is by far the hardest part for me. Game basically feels lost if i half crash or dont get shove
Banger vod review at the end. It worked out that none of his minions died after the cheater recall so you hit 6 perfectly on time. Did Garen also misplay the bounce?
Haha thank you my g. Garen did misplay in that he traded with me as I was crashing the wave - even if I did not hit lvl 6, I still could have killed him on the dive because I took ignite.

good video. but garen should always take conqueror in this matchup. phase rush against jax is mega trolling. against phase rush garen jax doesnt struggle as much.

Yes, I do think this can still work even with the E nerf though it may be a bit harder to execute
