That is very true my friend, but dont forget one thing-everybody is talking about how terible Hitler and the Nazis where, and they are right but in the same time NOBODY is talking about how terible was Stalin and the Soviet machine.just a small fact-during WW2 55 milion people have died and everybody is talkin about this but nobody is talking about 150 milion dead under Stalin rule right and until the end of WW2. so the fact is a fact but the truth is somewhere else

Appreciate you keeping all of that history.
I’d love to know how WW2 is taught in Germany I’d imagine it is still taught more thoroughly than the empire is taught in Britain but still very censored
@@marlonthomas8042 it's handled with care. So much so that from 4th to 12th grade you talk about it at least 5 to 7 times. Sadly the focus is way too much on just Hitler and how he coerced the nation, and not so much on how he was just the leader of an entire party (he was impeachable and not a one man army). Anyway, I've never seen an actual swastika flag in a German history text book as far as I can recall. However propaganda posters in the books sometimes display them. Oh yeah, and you're met with zero tolerance if you support their cause. Because Nazism is not an opinion, since it infringes on other political opinions (killing someone because of their skin colour etc.). Nazi Germany gets really annoying at school after the fifth time, you know. But the trips to former concentration camps were really interesting

This is how we should learn history in schools. Not just boring textbooks. EDIT: Don't get me wrong. Books are good way to learn, but they are not as fun as this guy. Especially when you're not going to study that subject in your university. There are plenty other ways to learn funnier, like games.
Fortunately for me, history in my school was taught in a more fun way, textbooks weren’t the main focus as my history teacher would make it more interesting by watching engaging documentaries, him being very upbeat about the lessons he teaches and even going on occasional trips. I feel bad for the people who get put off history because of most schools thinking that history should only be about textbooks and reciting them.
@@joshdeane8299 I never said and I will never say that school is not needed. School is always needed to build a good community.
