Thank you for this list!! I was seriously writing a Pros/Cons list of the 3 areas I'm trying to choose between (Sarasota/Bradenton, Venice, Naples). This popped up as I was writing, and I got to add so much to my list. This town seems to have the most pros! Greatly appreciated. 🙂
Yes. I watch you both frequently, and you mention a lot of things that others just don't. We tend to think similarly in terms of what is important to us. 😊
Awesome list of things to do in Venice. We enjoy the area and have been there several times on vacations from our winters in northern Minnesota. We have stayed in south Venice and we’re able to go visit the private beach which was fun. The ferry ride to get there was great too. You guys must find someone who can take you there, it is nice to enjoy a secluded beach with very few people. Another thing I would add to the list would be the shark tooth festival. One thing I enjoyed when we were there was driving past the airport and seeing some of the cool planes and small jets that are there when we would drive to caspersen beach. We always have fun looking for shark teeth and I enjoy watching the planes that fly over the area. There are a couple older planes like a biplane and stuff that seem to be out often.
We definitely need to get to the private beach! It's still sort of mysterious to us 😂 The Shark Tooth festival is fun! We actually did a video of it. Suncoast Cafe in the airport is an amazing spot for brunch. One of our favorite restaurants in town!
Great video. Thanks for sharing all the hot spots to visit. Would you happen to know some family friendly areas to hang out in Nokomis? We're new to the area and looking to meet people. Thanks so much!
There's a few good parks in the area like Nokomis Community Park, as well as the north jetty and beaches of course. Outside of that most of the things to do that we've found would be mainly in Venice or Sarasota.
Impressive list of things to do in Venice. Only thing I would add there is biking the Legacy Trail. I rode it last year. It's something that lot of people would be interested to do but yes, it's not exactly inside the Venice just starts from Venice, and goes all away to Sarasota. Thanks for sharing your list 👍
You’re welcome 🙂 We do have the Legacy Trail on the list. It is towards the end of the video. We think it would be fun to ride all the way to Sarasota but probably tiring!
@@LifeInVeniceFlorida Good, my bad, somehow I missed it. Yes, it's a nice long trail. I rode last year from Sarasota to Venice as a part of my Florida west coast bike tour. I got video too if you're interested to check out. I camped in the state park which is conveniently located right next to the trail. Have a good day!
Legacy trail was the old railroad tracks that came down from Sarasota to Venice. It was the train route for Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus (cir 1960 - 1992). They used it to get to their winter home in Venice at the Venice Arena. It was over by Venice Airport. I remember as a kid getting to watch the elephants and other animals parade across the southern draw bridge known as the Circus Bridge. Their last show there was in 1992. I was 17 at the time. 😊

You forgot to mention the 100 piece banjo band at Snook Haven. Wait maybe that’s before your time. Never mind.
