But for real, Frontier didn't have to do this and revamp the spino. Just shows how much they care for the fans.

I would never have expected Frontier to revamp their Spinosaurus, but because it's my favorite dinosaur, this puts a smile on my face
Also I hope that neck snap is exclusive to T Rex, because I did like the old kill animation where it just slapped its prey to the floor before delivering the killing bite to the neck

The neck snap is on the indo, so I assume other large carnivores as well
@@KrowasaurusI do love how Frontier adds not only new species and mechanics into the game, but goes back and improves species and mechanics already in the game as well, it really does breathe new life into the already existing species and the gameplay itself.

Spino has this new kill animation on all large carnivores, I think it is the same as before the update for the medium ones
That was new never seen a Spinosaurus run before when it was released and second it was breaking the Rex’s neck just like in Jurassic Park 3

a few things I notice.
1. they re animated spinosaurs to have more aggresive animations like shown in camp cretacous
2. they made spinosaurus model larger then the trex
3. they gave spinosaurs exclusive jp3 rex kill animation by snapping the neck
4. spino finnaly got that hip fix it always had.
It didnt get bigger, its called posture. Bigger is enlarging the model

This is nice and much appreciated, only issue I see here is like the spino still looks rather slimmer and smaller than what it looked like in the movie and the cc series, hopefully they tweak the size and bulk abit and it would be perfect. Overall though a good update for the jp3 spinosaurus.
Hmmmmmm the model does look different actually. The Sail on the back looks bigger and the claws on the feet and hands look more bigger as well.

@@solidSnake4580 It's literally stated to be the T.rex killer from the lore. That was the whole point for its introduction to replace the Tyrannosaurus. Something new, bigger and stronger. It's all explained in the behind the scenes of the movie.

@@Unbearable_Truth And then brought fourth the problem with fans and the entire scientific community disagreeing about that and something like that would never happen. The storm of criticism was so bad so much so that Jack Horner the guy who started this whole T rex vs Spino controversy had to walk it back and admit Spino killing a T rex would never happen especially knowing he let his own personal bias get in the way of his credibility as a paleontologist. “That would never happen because one eats fish and the other crushes bone.” -Jack Horner. Really there was so much wrong with that fight that I wouldn’t know where to begin.
If you want to play that lore game need I remind you that the Tyrannosaurus in the movie was a sub adult pretty much implying a full grown T. rex would destroy a Spino with ease. That whole Spinosaurus being a “T. rex killer.” Is more than likely swept under the rug and retconned and is an over exaggeration because Universal and the film makers know this was a mistake and they said it themselves. And also there was an intended rematch that was cut from FK where the T. rex was supposed to kill the Spinosaurus which pretty much says Spino is no “T-Rex killer.”
Edit: Btw when I say Spino is a punching bag for T rex that isn’t an exaggeration, it’s been getting killed and beaten in JP related projects and other media kind of like JPOG, Promal Carnage, the arcade game, the list can go on. Spino even almost got killed off in FK and got killed off in a reveal trailer and mission you have to play where it gets jumped by a pack of raptors and dies and it gets impaled in another mission. Spino has been getting its ass kicked for a long while. So no T rex is t the punching bag.
@@solidSnake4580 The majority of fans like it and only the Tyrannosaur fans had issues with it. If it was as bad as you claimed, the movie and the Spinosaurus would have been hated even to this day. That's obviously not true is it now? It's a legacy dinosaur and a second icon now (It did replace the Tyrannosaurus on the logo)
Regarding the scientific community, even to this day it's a dinosaur that still is fairly unknown due to limited specimens. That's a problem for not just Spinosaurus so I don't get why soloing it here.
Jack Horner never started the argument. That's just a stupid blaming game by T.rex fanatics. Joe Johnson and Steven Spielberg wanted a new dinosaur because the Tyrannosaurus formula was getting stale. Baryonyx was first suggested but the directors said it was too small. Then Horner suggested the Spinosaurus, the largest carnivorous dinosaur.
You do realize Horner was being sarcastic in that talk right? If you watched enough of Jack's interviews you'd know but you just watched a clip from the infamous EBLazer Rex (a notorious Spino hater) and ran with that. Plus on a podcast he reinstated that comment and stands by it at the time. Now though he said we don't know a whole lot about Spinosaurus except it was more aquatic but lived with large Tyrannosaurus sized theropods capable of holding it's own in its environment.
The Tyrannosaurus was not a subadult... this has been proven wrong for how many years now? The script from JP3 even confirmed it (an adult Bull Tyrannosaurus) Not only that but Stan Winston even used the exact same Tyrannosaurus anamatronic prop from The Lost World for it.
It was touched on recently by Colin in a interview and hinted by Universal that the Tyrannosaurus population on Sorna was hunted by the Spinosaurus.
There was no such thing. The rematch wasn't even confirmed in FK because Colin never confirmed it. Heck, we even see the Giganotosaurus in the concept arts in the fight.

Brilliant, giving one of the two creatures with the most toxic fanboys its own unique animation.
Give the Tyrannosaurus a unique animation. Give Giga one, even if it was against a herbivore. Indom has about the most ways to kill other theropods and herbivores, give her a unique animation.
I'm not saying it’s a bad animation; it looks fuckin' epic, not to mention it is a perfect reference to the movie scene that made this dinosaur as iconic as it is. What I am saying however, is that this game really needs other creatures to be somewhat different from the rest as well.
Make the Anky crush a theropod's bones
Make a sauropod kill predators with a tail swipe
It also starts to get a bit inaccurate. If you look at Spino's arms in JP3, you can clearly see they are longer than that of other theropods, but aren't long or strong enough to make it stand on all fours, like the muscular arms of Indom
If Frontier doesn't have any ideas, the fans can certainly give them some, right?
1. Sauropods, Frontier. MAKE THEM BE ABLE TO SURVIVE.
2. Herbivores as a whole are underrated. Boost their base stats, and give them more ways to annihilate predators.
3. Zeb dragged Rexy around with his bare jaws the whole time. There are some animations you can make with this
4. Did I mention sauropod combat?
5. Indom is by far the most unique creature of the franchise. Make her drag theropods around with her arms like she did with Rexy, make her animations more sadistic and 'playful', etc.

I am expecting some more animations update in the future' since i feel like the game itself is not entirely finished. As you can see we have bugs and i think we still have dinosaur's moon walking the sh*t out like crazy' so the game isnt Fully polished yet. So we may get some more updated animations and other couple cool things.

Idk it looks like sliding sometimes walking, in the 1st game, the few i did unlock don't have this issue.

Could be me, but, it still looks a bit off compared to the movie. Like its too small in the body or something...I dunno.

@@Unbearable_Truth It would be more brutal because it’s a known fact that Tyrannosaurus has a powerful bone crushing bite force and bite that powerful can pretty much decapitate a Spinosaurus with no problem and bite off a huge chunk of flesh. Yes that does seem more brutal because it is. And also JPOG’s kill animation of the Rex killing Spino was already pretty brutal by getting its neck crushed and just left a awkward position with a twisted neck.
@@solidSnake4580 But we see in the Jurassic lore that the Spinosaurus (even Indominus) can tank those bites with little to no damage. Right but you really can't compare a movie scene signature kill to a game. The T.rex already has more skin variations and animations over the Spino.

Edit: Let’s be real here, I’ll tell you where I’m coming from, kill animations is nice to have and so is having new dinosaurs but this game needs more polish and I’ve said on record before new species is the last thing we need especially when you can’t fit them all in tiny maps and that’s what gets me mad. There’s so much more they really need to work on to make the game better, people still want a Site B mode, infants, rides, better animations, less limitations, more customization creativity and better AI and dinosaurs having different kill animations. I don’t even like the fights because it look’s awkward and too turn based for me. There’s just so much more I can say about what this game needs. But my comment would be too long which I try to avoid doing like even the guest have not been improved and still feel pretty non existent compared to guests in JPOG.
Frontier seems to add in so much new content which consists in decorations and dinosaurs but somehow still lacks in a lot of other departments like what people really want the most. That’s the kind of thing that makes me not want to replay the game in any way. Imo it’s not worth the 10 Goldbulms out of 10 Goldblums.
@@solidSnake4580no offence ere but the jpog animation would have to downsize the rex to almost 75 percent the size. Just be happy with the rex kill, from what i can tell your a fan of it, its just a simple animation no need for arguing

There's also a new trex vs veloceraptor killing animation where when rexy wins the fight she does the pose roar.
