@SiZelotes Hello brother! Thank you for the encouragement! We all struggle through this life, as we battle against the world, the flesh, and the devil! Praise God the victory has been won for us in Christ! Keep struggling, my friend, and good luck with your bow making, God bless!
What a great video showing how to make a bow and using the scriptures in relation to making a bow. God carves things out of our life so that we can hit the target every time!🎯🙏🏹☝️
I've deer hunted since I was around 13 now I'm 45 & wanting to start with a bow. I'm leaning towards a compound but really like the simplicity of traditional bow hunting. My main focus is putting meat in the freezer, would I be better off with a compound, I "think" I'd be more successful than hunting with a recurve or longbow but what do you suggest
@Yelladog78 - Good question, friend! Certainly, compounds are hard to beat for their ease of use and deadly accuracy, even for beginners. On the other hand traditional bows are much simpler, as you mentioned, and if a person takes the time to learn, can be just as deadly and in my opinion, much more enjoyable to shoot. I would suggest getting an inexpensive recurve to start with. There are many options out there for even a couple hundred dollars or less. Give it some time and see how you do. You can always transition to a compound if desired, and the archery fundamentals learned with the recurve will serve you well. Hope that helps, God bless and happy hunting!
@shelbi328 Hi there! I do believe any Birch will work for a bow, although my only experience is White, or paper Birch. Yes, you should be able to get a 40 lb bow if you use similar dimensions. It seems like the tension strength for Birch is decent and does well unbacked. Hope that helps, God bless!
Amen brother. Greetings from a fellow (amateur) bowyer and Christian struggler in the UK. Great looking Bow. Glory to God in all things! 🙏☦️

What kind of birch did you use for the bow ?
@misterz2719 - Hello friend! I used Paper Birch, at least I think that's what it's called...
Would this be yellow Birch or white ? Must be real smooth at 75" long and bending in the handle.
@charlesleblanc6638
This is White Birch :)
Yes, it is a very smooth draw, really a nice bow to shoot! God bless!
