So god damn cool. You can tell the Larkin Poe evolution was blues for mainstream rock audiences but this is one seriously musical family that knows there southern, Irish, American, colonial roots. I like to imagine other families who play like this that don’t even need the labels or the tour bus. I’m thankful to watch nonetheless. Beautiful rich music. I can listen to Native American pow wows all day as well. Just saying. ❤
It's cool to see Rebecca shredding on mando then see how reserved she was when she first transitioned to guitar. She would hand over the solos to Megan on electric slide for years. Only recently has she seemed to have gotten over her shyness about playing electric guitar leads in live shows. Her little clips on FB and YT for years have hinted at her talent. We always knew of Megan's prowess on slide but now they are the complete act.
All 3 of them are ridiculously talented but Rebecca could kill a guitar if she would let it out. I've seen some of her solo riffs and MAN she can play. Plays the Banjo too :-) Every since I heard them the first time I am a fan.
Great performance. Their charisma and talent cannot be contained any more than Picasso could remain in his “blue period”. Some artists need to explore beyond the fishbowl.
So, if Jessica hadn't left the band, and Rebecca and Megan hadn't turned their attention to southern blues rock (and won a Grammy there), these three would have gone to win an unfathomable number of IBMA and Americana awards.

She graduated high school a year later and left the others for UGA, you know the place of legendary bands like REM.....and somehow just disappeared. The other 2 formed Larkin Poe which in all honesty was to be a gothic folk band which was unheard of. Playing in places like Rockefeller Center they play on and now haw drifted into what they are calling Folk Blues. Its all very original and these gals are a true Georgia treasure.
2009. The oldest, Jessica, was 23 at that time. Megan was 20, Rebecca was 18. And no, Jessica didn't graduate high school a year later! What's the meaning of so much disinformation? What you don't know, you don't say! Or are you from Trump family?
Watching this, I'm reminded of a symphony orchestra. It's precise and fast. That doesn't sell records. Oh, it got some attention because they are sixteen and pretty. Oh, Lord, 4:30 this is why I still search out the old vids. The Lovell sisters, I lovell them. Look for the full concert.
I'm completely confused, I knew there were the Lovell Sisters, but I didn't know there were three, and the reason I'm confused is that I don't know if I like the Lovell Sisters or the Larkin Poe more. Just kidding, I loved meeting the Lovell Sisters, and I loved knowing that you were already virtuous since you were “girls”. I love the Larkin Poes even more now, and I hope to one day fulfill my dream of seeing you live.
Larkin Poe is unique & inventive - but I miss this band - or really I miss Jessica. This last version of this group w/ Daniel & Matt was deep & powerful. I saw the Lovell Sisters live 4 times in 4 years, and there is an excitement/depth of emotion now missing in the new band. I'd never dis Rebecca or Megan, but I miss all 3 sisters being together.
Yeah, I have to echo that every once in a while. They were the Beatles. Maybe Paul was too over bearing, but Jessica was a dynamo. I wanted to like Larkin Poe and I do. I am happy for Rebecca and Megan, but.... There are bright spots; Mad Hatter is unique. The little show at Sugaroo(or whatever) when they did Principle of silver linings. I have been inspired with their achepela bathroom vocals. I'm amazed that they are playing with Bonamassa. So, in general they are awesome. But I sure miss the Old Days. I play the vids on occasion. Maybe it's a little creepy.
I also miss the old bluegrass acoustic sounds of the original band and believed if they would have stayed the course and put their creativity into the bluegrass format instead of Larkin Poe's blues rock, they would have made us much happier. But they do garner a lot of attention, praise and 10 times the viewership on you tube as Larkin Poe, so I can't blame them for reaching for the bigger purse.

@@sireugenecourtney5797 I believe Larkin Poe's goal is to have musical freedom. Going for the purse usually results in being constrained. The best acts, Beatles, Dylan, Stones, etc. have grown over time. We can enjoy their early work anytime. By avoiding change artists often lose their fire.
Became a business developer according to Rebecca in an newer interview? Asked about Jessica, she explained that big sister always had more fun managing the business part of TLS, than actually performing on a stage.
