Great video. Can’t tell if you’re saying Darren Lake or Darien Lake (Dare-ee-en)?
I tend to jump back and forth 😄
Thanks for watching
I really hope they extend park hours because it’s so nice at night there especially with all the lights
It will all depend on their staffing. It has become a HUGE issue at parks the past three years and fingers are crossed they figure it out soon, way too many night rides missed.
Lol in extremely disappointed season pass? And they're only open on the weekends when alot of people work nights and weekends nowadays people knobles will be getting my business it's sad cause I was actually looking forward to going to darien lake again you say it's a staffing issue but in reality it's a greed issue
Well their summer operating season kicks off next week so hopefully if will be better
@@125RollerCoasterProbably due to traffic. I went for a concert yesterday and getting in and out was a shitshow. Imagine with park patrons leaving at the same time too.
@@905shadz8 Hersheypark has the same problems, there is only one way in and out of these parks so on concert days with hockey also, you might as well park and walk home
We have been going here for 20+ years and honestly these last few years I haven't been quite impressed with the place. It's like six flags bought it back and it just went downhill. The wheel is gone along with one of my favorites Grizzly run... there's other stuff too but these areas of the park just feel dead now
Thanks for watching the video. We only started going there the past three years and while I hear it isn't the same as in it's hey day, I can honestly say it is a park that we get a lot of positive reactions to and I'm actually going there today to finish our filming (shooting the merch video) and spend a few hours to enjoy
My home park! And I love acting here as well.
Thanks for sharing and watching the channel. More Six Flags Darien Lake content coming soon
One thing I personally miss is Cinema 2000
I wish we could have been on it, but it was open before we discovered Darien Lake. Thanks for watching
@@125RollerCoaster it was a simulator
I heard great things about it
liked and subbed !
Much appreciated!!
Just went on a band field trip here and I found something you missed... They sell cool sunglasses
Awesome to know about the sunglasses. Thanks for watching the video and commenting. Have an amazing night
im going on a trip there with my band and orchestra
im in orchestra*
@@ibreathedojacat nice, u ever bean?

I am hoping the Niagara Amusement park builds the shuttle loop coaster that used to be Kennywood's Laser Loop. Id like to loop that park in with a trip to Darian Lake. Darien Lake looks like a really pretty park.
Both parks are two of our favorites. Love Darien Lake and we can't wait to see what is new for 2024 for Naigara. Thanks for watching and consider subscribing to see a lot more videos on those great parks
I also recommend if they do it again, the laser light show. imagine si-fi 80's lasers and some impressive fireworks. And since were far into farm land, it does get dark for the show! a must see!
Pretty bummed i missed that and greatly appreciate you sharing. Thanks for watching
@@125RollerCoasterIt’s a park staple at least has been for 30 years.
Tons of fun x
can you make a tier list of the non roller coaster rides? ive been looking for something like that
Great idea. I will see what I can do for later this summer
I hope they get a new Ferris Wheel soon
totally agree, that area of the park is empty without it. Don't get me wrong, it gives a great view of the lake but it really could use a new ride there.
Thanks for watching and much more content on it's way so remember to subscribe so you don't miss a thing.
Dorney Park used to have a 'Corn Popper', a long time ago.
They still do. It is called Apollo and is still kicking butt after all these years. Check out the Dorney Park Playlist cause I know we have a short featuring that ride
@@125RollerCoaster Ah, didn't know it was still there. Was called "Apollo 2000" back in the day, I think.
You should do another video of six flags GA
Yep. That is on the docket. Got three coming in the next few weeks so make sure you subscribe so you don't miss them
Mind eraser will not be operating this season for some work and new cars. Should be back in 2025.
Yep we saw that. That is a win for Darien Lake cause the upgrades are worth it
I went last year- SO. MANY. HORNETS. The park shouldn’t have even been open. I’m planning on going back there in a couple days later at night (Park is open later for the laser light show).
Busch gardens williamsburg has the same issue with Griffin. They hang out on the top of the drop.
Thanks for watching and supporting the park. We really love it and can't wait to go back in 2024
@@125RollerCoaster It seems like the park improved in quality over the last 2 years according to other people. And my experience in 2022 wasn’t all bad; I still got a free meal, snack, and parking.
@@davyjones3105 you are correct, the park is on the upswing from we first visited a few years ago and the work they have been putting together on Predator has been great. The future is bright at Darien Lake
The Mind Eraser (sign at beginning of video) was a cool indoor Scrambler at Riverside Park in MA. The name was recycled when Six Flags bought them and used for a coaster instead. The history of Riverside Park completely erased without a trace as you walk around Six Flags New England. A park I visited often in my youth and we had season passes. We even have a home video from the 80s we took.
Is Darien Lake worth visiting for an older couple without kids who doesn't like steel coasters or big thrill seeking rides? Never liked those kind of rides as a kid, young adult or now as an older adult. We can't be the only ones. We passed by a few years ago and may do so again. We could get another seasons pass and visit Six Flags New England, this park & Great Escape....if there is anything worth visiting still. The Great Escape had some decent attractions, and lots of memories left of the previous Story Town park we visited in 1978.
We like calm family rides, especially haunted houses.
First of all, thanks for watching and commenting. It truly means a lot to us.
So to answer your question, I would say yes to spending a day at Darien Lake. The family attractions would be great for you (antique cars, carousel, etc...) but also there is a throw back feel to the entire park. You can grab a bite to eat and sit by the lake and take it all in. Also you can leave the park and walk around the grounds and see the other lakes, campground and more.
All in all, six flags darien lake would be a great day for you.
@@125RollerCoaster Thanks. We'll have to consider it if we're in the area again.
We enjoy wooden coasters (especially medium sized ones), but my wife is not able to go on them right now.
Predator could be rough but it does have a fun layout
@@125RollerCoasterAs a kid I loved Predator and the park in general is pretty family friendly.
And the Titan Track is working wonders with it. Had some great rides this year
Is there any new rides coming to darein lake😊
As far as we know, the answer is no, however, Six Flags seems to finally realize they can not keep increasing the costs without something new and shiny so fingers crossed 2024 gets the park something new. 😄
@2:46 the fountain and the ride pictured after are NOT darien lake
Yep. It is great adventure cause I had no looney tune characters in my B roll. So does that completely invalid the 20 minute video?? Just curious
This park is the drizzling shits nobody goes here. The land this park sits on is mostly likely more worth than the park it’s self. I thought six flags America was bad. At the end of the day you did a fantastic job as far as your narration is concerned on trying to get people to come here. It’s something’s you need to be brutally honest about. This park has limitless potential but six flags refuses to put any money into this and that’s why it’s one of the worst parks in the chain.
We have a different opinion of this park. It is very unique (esp when you look at others in the Six Flags chain) and it's history with Six Flags also is a reason it doesn't get the investment as others. The future looks solid with the investment of Titan track on Predator and the Mind Eraser overhaul
