If this compilation isn't proof that nothing ever changes, I dont know what would prove it. Everything Dave drops is timeless. The interview with Whoopi is so good.
Great interview and their connection. U peep Dave kept picking up and putting down that cup and never took a sip. 🤣
Which Dave?
I'm not too fond of Whoopi nowadays but this interview did feel pretty genuine. Dave is still the goat though.
@@daveogfans413I always get Whoopi and Oprah mixed up.
I’ve been saying “Domino’s, nobody move” for 25 years uncredited. Every time my wife orders it...I blurt it out. Saw it back in the day, loved it. Sorry Dave, didn’t realize it was you.
😂
Damn.🤣
I think it's also part of one of his stand up specials, along with a lot of the other material here.
I had a friend that used to say "gotcha, bitch!" a lot, and didn't know it was from Dave. They heard it from meme videos. Last time I try to befriend someone in their 20s 😂
love that bit!
It’s amazing how self assured and put together he was at 20 years old, wow
grew up in a stable home with educated parents.
It’s because he started performing professionally at 14, so by 20 when he ‘debuted’ (at least on tv) he was already 6 years into his career, amazing. He said he knew his path very early and never deviated. Powerful.
@@Bailemos888
What's a stable home. For all we know his home might not be happy. He was raised correctly and was a natural talent
Hes scared to death.
@@jades5581 His mother a professor, his father, statistics and financial advisor. ALL his family was college educated, but him. When your mother believes in you and your dreams, works all day then drives you to the club, waits for you to come on, then drives you home afterwards. He claims that, "My parents raised me right." Stress on par-ENTS, 2 of them, a mother and a father .... living in the same home.
You can see when Dave C. went from “comedian” to “star/celebrity”… when he stopped actually performing on The Dave Letterman Show and simply came on as a sit-down guest.
And started wearing more casual clothes
Thats how it's always worked. It's disappointing
Dear algorithm, this the ish i'd love to see. Thank you!

BEAUTIFUL
The difference in confidence between the 8 months from the first and second are so striking and it only got better.
This man was grinding! Definitely deserves all his success.
Yep started at like 15-16 yrs old
It's too bad that Comedy Central paid him little to nothing for the Chappelle Show and truth be told they own the rights and are making millions upon millions from that same Chappelle Show in Syndication and not to mention the DVD's

I never knew Letterman was such a big part of his rise. First show at 20 years old! This makes me think of the scope of Letterman’s influence. What a legend
Being on Letterman was like the pinnacle back then for comedians. Before him it was Johnny Carson
@@silkworm111 It's true. I don't think Letterman ever acheived the outright dominance over the industry Carson did - not as broadly popular and a changing television landscape - but to comedians, Letterman was probably The Guy some years before Carson retired.
He was on conan like 20 times. Letterman and conan realized what a talent Dave was

...Proof right there that times do in fact change, folks.
An authentic man in a world of fakes. Hollywood didn't deserve him. He made the right choice.
This cat is a comedic savant he's like Michael Jackson and Michael Jordan he was made exclusively for what he does. Now I said it before and I will repeat myself, to me Dave is the greatest comedian of this generation. But of course being a 60 year old like myself Richard Pryor is the Alpha of comedy. But I have to say Dave in my opinion is running a very, very close second especially his stand up routine. And it's fun to see his metamorphosis can you imagine that this guy started at 14 or 15. I can't even remember what I was doing at that age. But I know that it wasn't constructive, ha, hahaha hahaha. And David Letterman funny in his own right is a good guy for recognizing and nurturing his genius.
It’s a different age these days too, people can’t really come out with their true skits from everyone being so sensitive… I just watched the racial draft before this cause it popped up on my feed… that would never happen today… but but on topic, there’s a lot of top dogs, Eddie Murphy was hilarious too, Martin Lawrence, Bernie, bill burr, Richard Pryor is definitely on the Mount Rushmore… Conan, Dave are great too in their own ways… it’s sad that alot of stuff back then can’t even be used today without the worry of being canceled
werq
At that time you were trying to stick your finger in everything
He's definitely better and wiser than Pryor. He's more akin to George Carlin. They both are philosophers who are funny. Pryor is just a great comedian.
@PhilJermakianlol. One of Pryor's worst movies??
I had no idea Chappelle and Letterman had this much history. It makes watching Chappelle on Letterman's Netflix show My next guest even that much more special. They have a strong connection and the conversation is funny and entertaining.
