Great interview, very chilled and love the stories of the tune names. If i had to pick one group to listen too for the rest of my life it would be jeff with branfords band. That music is pure perfection for me.
Thx for the luv! I appreciate it. Feel free to watch some of the other interviews and by all means listen to the Cool Jazz Countdown at www.countdown.podomatic.com
If we are talking 80s and beyond, Tain is the best drummer in my opinion and perhaps even the greatest innovator regardless of the instrument...his conceptualization was leading the way....eye remember cee-ing this tv show called Birdland, and the show with Courtney Pine had this drummer named Mark Mondesir, and judging by his performance, he was on par with Tain...check out "Fly" by Myka 9, the Greatest West Coast Emcee of all Time, you'll be pleasantly surprised...Thanks, themanwiththevoice!
Every time I see Tain, I remind him he's still my favorite drummer.
The drummer’s drummer! 🔥👍he goes hard 💪🙌
GREAT INTERVIEW...YEAH!!!!
I absolutely love Jeff Tain Watts. This guys drumming is incredible!! Great interview 👍 Keep groovin' Jeff 🎶🥁😎DC
David Curtis thx David! Jeff was a pleasure to talk to!
Early on … when Wynton would introduce the band, he’d say (while gesturing to Tain) “… the mold was broken, when this brother was made “ ❤
SMILING...Beautiful Jeff.
That voice
