- We love a good car story!
From the day Marvin bought this BelAir in 1956 he had a vision of where he wanted to take it. He never imagined the ride this car would take him on. From meeting his wife to raising a family this 1956 BelAir was always with him.
It was only natural that he became friends with another Minnesota hot rodder and painter, Jon Kosmoski. While Marvin was building a car to fit his needs, Jon was crafting the worlds finest paints.
This car is pretty cool owned by Connie and Marlin Angler. He bought the car brand new in ’56 he had it for a few years he met his wife dated her in this car he has sense sold the car got it back. A few years ago he finally revamp this car probably one last time and did it all the way he always wanted to do it get a good kandy apple paint job on it just the way so it looks perfect it fits just in the era and it’s actually a car from the era. This is somewhat of a survivor that's been redone over and over but it’s a lot of history to the car and out in a lot of history to the guy he’s had it at who knows how many shows this car has been in and trophies it’s won one in different venues and different levels. John developed that paint for he wanted his cars to be the best at chose to be so he strived to get the best colors get the best ingredients and you know he did. He had the wildest stuff. You know we’re Minnesota boys Minneapolis is where it was born we like to use that we like it the best just we get the most reaction out of that. It’s the old school real deal was made by a guy without big corporations and new people are coming with candies but they just color wise they just don't hold them it's just not the same.
With a new final Kandy Apple finish, Marvin plans on it being the last revision to the car. By the way he's still cursing and he's happy to race you if you think your car can handle it.
I've seen plenty of wild custom shoeboxes that look worse than the original, but the designer on this nailed a perfect custom look. Nice.
Love the modifications. The bumpers BEAUTIFUL. I always wanted to see 55, 56 and 57 with modern tucked in bumpers like this. Its a feature that sets these builds apart. Love the work. Cheers.
Very nice car 👍👍👍👍👍
Now that is a beautiful car nice going 👍
Absolutely beautiful car!
A true work of art!
I have a 96 sebring convertible that I picked up for 500 dollars. I started doing some bodywork on it.. When I went to the local paint shop, to my surprise I was told it was candy apple red. it looks like plan old red to me..
I wanna drive that car, while wearing a white T shirt with a pack of Luckies turned up in my short sleeve. . . :-). (Don’t worry-I won’t smoke them).
Why would anyone worry about you smoking. My parents smoked two packs a day each for 70 plus years and both lived past 85 years.
Man this is beautiful, what color code is this?I have looked at your guys kandy apples but this one just grabs me.
Could be brandy wine mixed with candy apple red . You can make your own color by changing up the ounces per color
nice to be rich
ya
Is the Candy over gold or silver, any input would be appreciated
It's a personal blend.
Brandywine vs candy apple red ?
Candy apple guy
Looks like it was painted with Testors paint.
What base was used on this car?
Too bad they haven’t been back to you yet I was wondering as well.
I’m thinking it’s Candy Apple Red over Gold
Right? I was wondering the same thing. Is it gold or silver? Can’t believe a company like this wouldn’t respond
@@robertmahaney7650 I think it was light gold with more brandy wine mix with a tiny bit of candy apple red who know gotta shoot some color samples
@@DarkKnightFX valspar owns this now it's not private no more
RandydaBarber it’s gotta be gold base. My friend painted his car this color too.
Of course...we are looking at shitloads and shitloads...of serious money!
This is no longer a Bel Air.
Very nice car but, what a bad taste these balls in front and back!
