Alright, so here's my theory on what happened to Thomas. The cipher at the bottom left at 0:19 translates to "how to survive? eat ur dead military friends body ^_^'' So my idea is that Thomas and his friend were out on a mission or something, but got trapped somehow (possibly in the cave?). His friend could have died during this event, or was killed by Thomas in his desperation, but for whatever reason Thomas couldn't find food, so he was forced to eat his own friend's corpse in order to survive. ...Yeah that'd screw someone up pretty bad I imagine, poor guy.

Long story short Thomas is a war veteran that has ptsd (dog tags being an indicator) He’s friends with someone named Flameguy (in his perspective) who has a kid named after him, aka junior Whether he was having a traumatic episode or manic, he took junior into a cave and harmed him, which caused his breaking point since it may as well have been murder (which he thought it was) He takes meds that are pretty much happy pills that causes memory loss. Thomas intended to forget.
