    I love the vid. I can really see the track and see how you guys hit the corners. A good starting point of how it should be done.

    The mic on the shirt is best IMO because it still picks up your voice fine but better picks up ambient sounds.
    Nice to see everyone out there. Thanks for the video.

    It would be great if someone could make a video tutorial on the correct technique for fast cornering and turns, particularly in the context of racing. By watching other people's techniques, you could learn the correct way to perform these maneuvers but a video explaining would help as well.

    "I don't like to take any risks with my cameras" that's funny... I'm the other way about, action camera's are aptly named, where as I was never designed to be held together with stainless pins and screws.

    Dawn, you take great lines. I am not sure why you don’t consider yourself a racer. Hopefully, you will reconsider, because your explanations of everyday EUC stuff is top notch. I can only imagine a run through of your racing experience. It would help so many in normal riding experiences. Thanks

      @Stan - thank you for your kindness ❤️❤️
      I ride for the Flow. Going fast is simply a byproduct. When I follow this philosophy, I stay true and safe. When I became a "Racer", my inner baby Hulk took over. I got competitive and lost sight of what was real and important. I don't want to make that mistake again. Yes, many Racers can be competitive and not activate Hulk mode. Unfortunately, until I gain that much mastery over my inner demons, I need to keep myself on a tight leash. 😂😂

      @@DawnSChampionIs this inner hulk similar to Qi in Tai Chi? I never thought of a champion racer having the ability to control their inner rage, wow. Anger management doesn’t seem to fit with your outward persona. This is quite a revelation. Thank you for sharing your full circle. Your channel’s completely underrated.

      Qi is just energy. Many disciplines in martial arts teach how to control and channel it. It is related, yes.
      I've had a difficult past that created inner demons that I fight to control as well. It's that saying, "...which wolf do you feed?"

    • @DawnSChampion
      @DawnSChampion  Рік тому +2

      It's a feature in the Insta360 app. You need to record video with your phone connected to the insta360 app and the GPS turned on or use their GPS Remote. Then you just add "Stats" in editing from the phone app.

    • @upnorthFPVandEUC
      @upnorthFPVandEUC Рік тому

      Oh that’s crazy so you’re videoing with the Insta 361X but you make sure the phones connected to give it GPS for speed..? Let me know if I’m understanding this correctly and thank you! We are now using lanyards on every ride because of you.

    • @DawnSChampion
      @DawnSChampion  Рік тому +2

      @@upnorthFPVandEUC yes. It needs to connected to your phone with the gps option on in the app so the app can use the phone's gps. Or buy the gps remote, which I do, and recommend

    Hi Dawn, apologies for a not-too-relevant question, we've been discussing a lot in a local chatroom on how to wear knee guards, over the pants or under, you seem to be on the over the pants side, could you please give a bit of your experience in this regard?

    • @DawnSChampion
      @DawnSChampion  Рік тому +2

      Hard armor should be on the outside because one of their strongest pros is that they allow you to slide. Putting them under clothes would impede that action and ruin your clothes in the crash. Plus, we often take them off for lunch or adjust them and that is much easier when worn outside. If your pants have armor, armor should be on close and tight so they don't move upon impact. That would require them to be under.

    • @SergeTarkovski
      @SergeTarkovski Рік тому

      @@DawnSChampion The main concern is that your knee guard might twist around your leg when you fall, thus no longer protecting you. Try twisting the knee guard inward with both hands yourself, I have been able to move it a little, although not as much as they say. I also have an idea to sew velcro or silicone tape on the pants and on the knee guard fasteners to fix the guard even better, but haven't tried it yet.

    • @DawnSChampion
      @DawnSChampion  Рік тому

      @@SergeTarkovski I remove the Velcro on the straps and resew them onto the strap in a position that allows me to have maximum tightness. This eliminates all movement of the knee guards. I've done this on mine, my daughter's, and fellow rider's knee guards. Not a single failure this way and multiple crash tested.
