She’s not.a mini boss she’s a boss. You can’t progress unless you beat her.
Boy you make this look easy but I've been stuck on this boss for hours basically trying to do the same thing.
Oh there's a very easy cheese method - climb the ladder, walk slowly to her until she starts screaming, immediately climb down the latter. Wait until she returns to her spot, climb the ladder, throw your stuff. Sometimes she walks back to you, climb the ladder down again until she returns to her spot.
This worked.
Worked until the clone came in. The clone just stands right before the ladder. I even ran back to bonfire and the clone was still there.
Ah that didn't happen in my case. I actually beat her twice this way. Made a save backup before this fight. After this fight , if you continue you can't use the stargazer for a while so you can't buy anymore throwables for the next bossfight. So I reloaded this save, killed this boss again, then before proceeding I went back to stock up my throwables.

It is possible to make the clone disappear. When the clone appears, just go down the ladder, the boss's health bar will not disappear this time, just walk a little, when you return the clone will disappear. At least that's what happened to me today. You could also do this to repair the weapon if necessary. Thanks for the great video Elbethium :D always helping a lot.

Honestly i thought it was just me but i lost to this boss about 7 times and didn't have much problem with any other boss like her.

Just a heads up for the fight that comes after this. You can not use the warp mechanic to get around. A lot of people are saying you can’t go into the next fight with throwables but you 100% can. Beat this boss and run back to the warp you used and go purchase all your throwables. DO NOT GO INTO THE ELEVATOR before stocking up on throwables. Once you go into the elevator you can no longer use the warp mechanic.
Good tip. Luckily I still had about 10 or so fire bombs before I found this out.

I love when games let you do this. Running is, ideally, as valid a defensive tool as dodging, guarding, etc. There a few bosses that punish running in circles like this, so here it feels appropriate instead of cheesy.

Yeah this is one of those bosses that punishes running in circles. Several of her moves hit no matter what and she almost never stops attacking and when she does it's not nearly enough time to get a hit in

Even with this strat I can’t win this one. I’ve actually encountered a 3rd clone twice. One request: it would have been great if you had your lantern on to help us see. But this one might be the end for me (I refuse to do the ladder cheese). Thanks for the video though!! You earned my sub! EDIT: I’m garbage. I used the ladder cheese. I could not get anything else to work for me. 😢

I learned REAL quick that if you strafe to her dagger side and keep an eye peeled for any slash attacks you can keep an absurd level of pressure on her while just outright being missed by her incredibly forward tracking. Devs tried so hard to punish panic rolling they actually programmed a flaw into this enemy's AI.
Go figure.

I found this didn't really work for me as the attacks were relentless and seemed to follow me, even when circling around. What did work for me was the flame arm at second level. It seemed to stun her in place and the burn effect chipped away at her when I had to dodge about. Throwing objects worked well too, but most damage came from my flame arm!
Get all good throwables then throw from top of ladder when she runs to you, go back down if the health bar disappears you did it right go back up and proceed to keep throwing she will die 👍

I just threw everything as soon as I got up the ladder then used my harpoon once for the easiest kill. It just stands there. Can’t see the health bar but trust you’re damaging.
Great guide, as always. Sub definitely earned. The Aegis Legion Arm upgraded to allow for attacking while blocking, combined with my trusty Trident melted her.

I beat her with mainly doging around her under her arm if u just run u still get hit
I hate to say it but the truth is you HAVE to learn how to parry this boss. It’s a git gud roadblock.
If you go through the suck of learning her parries you will fall in love with this fight & look forward to it. She’s easier than she looks trust me. A fully upgraded puppet string legion will destroy the mimic 😉

While the ladder cheese is much easier even when I couldn't de-aggro the boss, dodging to its dagger side definitely works and is more fun. Just that I struggled when the boss is against a wall.
Thanks, this was the only video that helped. In others the player was so OP that they force kill it with like 3 attacks or just tanking the damage, if i tried that with the same weapon, mine broke 😂

guess the key here is a fast low weight weapon and a load under 60% to get fast stamina back . ill tryd here with a heavy and slow weapon and its really tough.

Absolutely ridiculous when the close spawns it’s almost physically impossible. Relentlessly being pursued by two of them at the same time from separate directions. Even when you go down the ladder to try and get them to reset, the clone just stands at the top of the ladder waiting for you
I was fighting with her for like 1 hour, and even i did reset my stats. After this "stay her left" tactic, i fucking killed her in first try and just drank 2 estus flasks...

I beat her by ignoring the clone, the clone is just a distraction it's actually not that aggressive and deal miniscule damage.
And while the clone is present the real one is also way more passive so you can take the initiative and attack first.
Of course you still have to watch out for the clone while you are focusing on the real.
Omg I tried doing this method and I actually got so close to defeating her but I was low on health and couldn’t charge up my pulse cells on time… then I got killed while I attempted to use fable arts that would take down if I was able to lol 😭
I did it by constantly dodging to the right. Dodge to the right, hit her a few times, then before she attacks again, dodge. The key word is before. If you wait until she attacks to dodge she will hit you first.

I have died to this mini boss more times than all the bosses before it together. She is so fast I can't get a hit in
I got bug, I heard boss music but nothing happen, so I just walked. I only know this boss existence when youtube recommended your video. I came back but this time, no boss music, nothing at all :((. Hope to meet her in NG+
Climb up the ladder wait till she chase, climb down and up agains until she back to her spot. Then, thow any throwable and armor pierce. Like a boss. You fvckin die now, Walker! 😂😂😂

for me this was by far the hardest boss in the game no joke. more attempts on this than all other bosses combined.
GUYS. If you're using the two dragon sword, his clone gets 2 shotted by its fable art. So if you have 4 fable slots, use some fable boosters to charge them up, and the moment the clone spawns just dish out 2 attacks and it dies immediately. Beat it first try when I did this.

Use puppet ripper with flame grindstone with aegis and hit with aegis guard on and it will give a stagger along with good damage then when the clone appears throw 5 thermites and it will die...Buy some legion magazine and repeat the aegis lock and hit again and it will be done...killed like this in first try after getting wrecked for like 10 times
There’s a amulet that gives you, max HP, Max stamina it’s such a clutch amulet I forgot what it’s called and it’s 1.7 weight, when I play I’ll comment the name of it.

I just discovered this boss and tried to go for perfect guards....MISTAKE. The way she relentlessly slashes she just chopped me up. I am not very good at perfect guards anyway. I usually get 2 out of 3 or 4 and when an enemy is new, it's more like 1 out of 3 or 4 and she slash at you 4 or 5 times and very fast. This is the first boss guide I looked up. I knew there had to be a secret to this boss and I never would've figured out running on my own because it's something I just never do. I'm not going back to her tonight but I will tomorrow. There are about 4,000 ergo sitting up there not to mention the army I have to get through to get back to her, I'll probably get another 4k on the way back.
BTW, I opened a shortcut right before I went up the ladder to her. Does that take you to a new area or is it a shortcut from the stargazer at the start of the building?
Shortcut to stargazer
When you’re at the stargazer, you should be able to run straight in before you go in the door take a left go up the ladder take a right and will bring you back into that crazy bitches room
The stamina on the wishstone lasted like 20 seconds barely got quarter of the life off
For anyone struggling, someone in the comments that if you strafe towards her side with the dagger, you will dodge her attacks.
I tried this method and it WORKS. You’re close to her and you can constantly apply hard pressure, when the clone comes back off a bit and finish it off. Then rinse and repeat and you will finish her like that.

This was the worst boss in the entire game! Even worse than the Nameless Puppet for me.
I have the feeling the Boss got patched, she hits you even while running and whats really going nuts on the boss is combining multiple movesets so you cant be 100% sure when a combo ends. Already had the possibility to see her use fury attack 3! times in a row like wtf.

This boss seems to have unlimited poise, unlimited stamina, a damage sponge health bar, little to no window to parry or attack, extreme aggression an AOE with the worst status effect in the game, and to top it all off a second phase clone. I’m not sure if it works for other people but walking to the right isn’t very effective for me. This is the most annoying boss in ANY of the soulsborne franchise IMO

IDK how I've made it to this boss. I've played every SoulsBorne game and Lies is the furthest I've gotten in these types of games.
Everyone's experience is different. For every boss there's someone who struggles a ton with it and someone else who thinks it's a piece of cake.
