A few years ago, I bought a bunch of purses at a rummage sale. I took them home and went through them and found a little bit of change. Fast forward almost a year later. These purses were still sitting, unlisted, and the strap on my purse that I was using broke. So I went shopping in my unlisted purses and while I was moving them around I heard jingling. Thought maybe I missed a couple coins in a purse. I started searching the purse. I found the change. It was 2 pennies. But I also found $90 cash! How the heck I missed it the first time, I will never know.
Flare jeans are definitely in fashion now. My thirty year old daughter just bought a pair. Brings back memories of when I wore flares as a teenager in the 70’s. From me and my beautiful miniature schnauzer on a very rare dry day here in Wales 🏴
@@vickiehanan5686 We did! Was only thinking that this morning! My father wore navy bell bottoms when he was in the navy. The music I loved the most was Tyrranosaurus Rex.,before they became T Rex. Posters of Marc Bolan on the bedroom wall on one side,my little sister had posters of Donny Osmond on the other.
Remember when we called them flare pants bell bottoms 😂 Use to wear them all the time oh bell bottom Levi's ❤ Just love watching y'all ❣️😘 Can't wait for the yard sales to start back
Hi Commonwealth Picker let me know about your channel love it I really enjoy seeing you and Kala finding such great things looking forward to more thanks for taking me along sending best wishes from Perth Western Australia 😊
CONGRATULATIONS, so proud that you two hit the 100k and got the like button award. You guys really deserve it. Your videos are really fun to watch.I really love your cool finds.. I never miss them and send them to my friends. Keep it up.
I can’t believe you didn’t look at the vintage Liz Claiborne perfume box. It was just sitting there while you were looking at that beaded necklace. It’s the white box with red yellow blue lines that make up a triangle. Always always look at perfumes/ colognes. Vintage ones can sell for a lot. That one, depending on size, could have been $30 or more.
Nice to see a man so interested in purses! I just sold a Sherpani, got it for next to nothing and sold it for $30 + shipping - great pick ups as always!
Ok you guys take it from an NYC reseller that has worked luxury retail for 20+ years flare pants and jeans has been in for the last couple of years skinny is definitely out for now but anything wide leg and straight leg is in. I do enjoy watching both your channels thank you for the great content
ALWAYS look forward to seeing you two! Love the stories about your church activities, Kayla's crafting, your parents, your silly jokes and your previous POlice profession references. We've got several in our family 😊. Fun video as always!
At 10:00 in the video, you showed an oil funnel. You mentioned using 10W-30 and a big funnel for your Thanksgiving turkey, and stated "Me and dad ain't never got sick yet..." I could see where you didn't get sick, but you were "well lubricated", and probably didn't suffer from post-Thanksgiving constipation.
I get so tickled at your "squirrel" moments and have to laugh. I just saw a young couple at my Goodwill today that resembled the two of you so much. He had a beard and shaved head, and she had long brown hair and those cute dimples. I almost went up to them but noticed they had a child. What are the odds, eh? Keep being you two.
I had to buy a pair of Brooks for my feet according to my foot doctor. The cost was hurtful $189. I did buy them and have not regretted it. Great shoe! I like the hanker chief slag glass, very colorful. You found some nice things as usual! Have a wonderful weekend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💜
I can’t wait for garage sales to start back up. You guys will definitely fill up your booth and sell outside of your home. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
Sales have slowed for us since Christmas. Hoping it picks up. I dropped prices on most items I have been sitting on and generated some sales and opened up inventory space. Still joping for some good high value item sales to come in.
Always check the men's ties. I got two at Goodwill for 1.99 each. One had a tie tac from a fraternity, 14k gold sold for 53.00 on ebay. The second tie had a rare tie tac for the MOL space program, Manned Observation Laboratory, 80.00. And I have sold a ton of Donald Trump ties and Rush Limbaugh ties too.
LOL ~ Carpet Bag [not straight out of "Gone with the Wind" ].. ~ Nice Stetson! With Secondhand stores raising their prices, It really is hard to Source. Lots of Luck!
You two are my favorite resellers and it brings back memories of vacations I took at Surfside Beach, Pawleys Island, and Murrells Inlet as a kid. I sell on Posh because I’ve heard so many stories of scams and difficulties on eBay with buyers returning stuff. Do you guys have that problem? Thanks for the great videos!!
I think that giant red bag is a Christmas Tree storage bag for an artificial. They are quite expensive. I have a 12 foot tree and looking for a nice tree bag cause my box is falling apart.
@@beardedthriftmachine aw! It’s funny how some people have luck selling som eureka and other people can’t sell the same items. I can’t seem to sell Golf clubs but everyone else can. 😂
Northwestern University is in Evanston, IL just north of the city of Chicago. 2023/24 tuition is $91,290. Northwestern Memorial Hospital is very well known. Is that big red bag on wheels a Christmas tree bag for a huge artificial tree? You found good things once again.
Love my daily dose of you two! 🎉 always learn a ton! I’m so sick of goodwill jacking up prices tho! I went the other day and prolly would’ve spent a ton more money and cleared some space for them, but they want to be greedy and make $6 more on one item so it’s sits there and not get sold 🤷🏽♀️ seems stupid to me when they don’t have COG
They taste better cold because that’s what makes them and keep them crisp. And thank you for the call out even though you didn’t say my name I am the one that said I’m from the Yakima valley and we know apples.
You have to fill that booth! There is a happy medium between a low stocked booth and a junkie booth but use up all that space you are renting! We have vendors who make their rent plus $ 500-1000 a month.
The pink paisley purse looked like an old vera bradley purse I had.. I loved that purse.. Unfortunately I forgot it on the city bus and someone decided to keep it... I was super super sad. Also, do your GoodWills there not have weekly tag color specials? Ours have 2, they change on Sundays and there's always 50% off tag color and a 75% off tag color
I bought a Gucci clutch for $15 and eBay had them SOLD for $400-$600. you can imagine my disappointment when I brought it home to learn that it was fake
Always fun and a learning experience watching you guys! I do believe that the Styrofoam clamshells for that Radco Santa Candle holders were on the shelves of that Goodwill? Have fun, be good! :)
l kind of like the "carpet" bag. LOL BTW, I looked in your store for the brown VB bag from yesterday's video, but I guess it sold because it wasn't there. I'm sad.
Empty boxes are forever. Sometimes it got swiped and sometimes it got smashed. Sometimes the wrong thing came in the box. I depend on GoodWill (usually called Ill Will) for disappointment and a flat place to walk around. That's about it.
Did you miss that yellow and white chevron Dooney & Bourke tote? Bottom left in the back. Or was it a knock off? I've sold the same style twice for over $90 each time
I don’t resell, I thrift for myself but I passed up a Gucci for $2.99 because I wasn’t sure if it was real. Got home, did some research & found out it was probably real. That’s okay though be a I didn’t really need it. Let someone else receive that blessing.
Thanks so much for watching!!!!
Love watching! ( :
I can't stand when profiteers leech the best items. Poorer people are hoping for nice things, too. 😢😭😭

I am being literal when I say that flares came back into style in Los Angeles in 1997 and have not gone back out of style since! Rock em, Kayla!

We called them bell bottoms lol our clothes and music keeps on living !!

4:15 That is a carpet bag. Carpet bags have been around a long time. I ❤ carpet bags.
My Mom always bought apples from our farmer's market and stored them in our garage where they stayed cold in Michigan.
I told Kayla we need to start keeping them cold and eat them lol
We stored ours in the root cellar when I was a kid in NH.
You missed a ceramic goose that is a apron holder. Those are worth like 25 to 50. I have a collection and paid almost 60 for a bull head apron holder.
Flare pants are trending for sure.
Remember when we called them flare pants bell bottoms 😂 Use to wear them all the time oh bell bottom Levi's ❤ Just love watching y'all ❣️😘 Can't wait for the yard sales to start back
The flair pants as you called them were called bell bottoms when I was younger and I LOVED them.
The red bag was for a Christmas tree! Love your channel.
thank you !!
They were called bell bottoms pants in the (1960’s). Very popular.

Yes, that's a slag glass handkerchief vase! Nice 20/25 on adverage.
The. Big red “bag” actually goes with a camping chair. There should be rods to hold out the top. It’s basically an umbrella for your chair

I was wondering what happened to that piece of carpet I donated to Goodwill!😂
Back in the day (late 60’s, early 70’s) flares were called bell bottoms. 😜
What a large, organized, neat Goodwill!
14:26 Sometimes, I buy an item and keep it for a while to familiarize myself with the brand. I have a cabinet shelf set aside for these items.

There is a country singer that only wear bell bottoms . Of course I can't remember her name lol

I agree brooks and great shoes
From NY go apple picking every year keep them in the fridge keeps them crisp, but i use them for apple crisp
We will start doing that
Someone probably took the candle holder out of the box and said it wasn't priced!
That's what I thought . They didn't like the price do they asked for another one !
You looked good in the Stetson hat. Thanks for sharing your day out sourcing new merchandise and visiting the booth is always fun.
I can’t wait for garage sales to start back up. You guys will definitely fill up your booth and sell outside of your home.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
I can’t wait !!
The big bag thing. Sometimes used to store Christmas trees.
Sales have slowed for us since Christmas. Hoping it picks up. I dropped prices on most items I have been sitting on and generated some sales and opened up inventory space. Still joping for some good high value item sales to come in.
Always good to sell them high dollar items every once in a while
Myrtle Beach...you have some better GW's than I do in Batesburg!
We do have some good ones
Great video! Love watching y’all.

FYI Radko will always be glass. We sold $1200 in Radko at our Estate sale this weekend! BOLO for the Garland, worth at least $50 for a 3ft garland
This newbie learning a lot from you two. You are funny😂😉🦋
😇🙏🏻God bless you two and Willow also! Enjoying your vlogs and your humor!❤❤
I think that giant red bag is a Christmas Tree storage bag for an artificial. They are quite expensive. I have a 12 foot tree and looking for a nice tree bag cause my box is falling apart.
Those little yellow mushroom canisters LOVE THEM!!!!Might have to make a trip from Texas!
You are right on the glass
I would love to see how much the canisters are in your booth. My grandma had the same exact set and I would love to get them.
It's customary to leave a coin in a purse you give away to give good luck to the next person that carries the purse.
Those crock pots are totally worth selling on eBay. But quick, so they can be used for the Super Bowl. :)
I have tried for a year to sell them on eBay - had them at 15 plus shipping and nothing

That big red bag on wheels is for your artificial Christmas tree! 🌲 😊
We just put ours in one of those today. Works great!

I keep my apples in a bowl cause I live on the edge 😏 I'd keep them in the fridge, but then I end up forgetting about them.
Red rolling golf bag thought u knew lololol😂😂😂😂
If you sell a purse or wallet you're supposed to leave a piece of money in it. If you buy an empty purse it will always be empty.
"That's what you say, I never see anyone wearing 'em", quote of the video haha
Did you call that gumball machine a pinball machine? 😆
lol I did - I noticed in editing

Great job guys! The booth is really doing great too! ( :
The handkerchief "vase" is actually a pendant light shade.
I will def look that up what is the thing in the middle ?
Where it goes over a bolt on the lamp that holds light bulb part@@beardedthriftmachine
It's where the electric wire, attached to the bulb socket, goes through. Search pendant light and you can see it better than I can explain it.
My dad's family ran an orchard. They kept apples for months in "cold storage."
I bought a Gucci clutch for $15 and eBay had them SOLD for $400-$600. you can imagine my disappointment when I brought it home to learn that it was fake
Apples and pears in bowls! Tangerines, too. We eat a lot of fruit!
Thanks y’all!
Eat those apples! They are good for your health! Thanks for sharing your thrifting knowledge!
Thanks again for the journey always look forward to your post 👍🇦🇺🦘
Thank you so much for always watching!!
+1 for apples in the fridge!
lol - we still have ours in a bowl …. And we still haven’t eaten any
Don’t see the candle holder but I see that goose head wall hanger I would love
I wish I picked it up
Y’all still picked up some real good stuff🥰. Too bad y’all don’t have a flea market😉
Good thinking it has already been bought.(Saint Nicholas.) that is
Always fun and a learning experience watching you guys! I do believe that the Styrofoam clamshells for that Radco Santa Candle holders were on the shelves of that Goodwill? Have fun, be good! :)
Jealous of your prices! Went to goodwill today and all of the brooks, Nikes, etc priced at $39.99+!
LOVE IT❤

The big red rolling bag is for a Christmas tree and they are expensive. Should have bought it.
9:30 always have put my apples in the fridge.
l kind of like the "carpet" bag. LOL BTW, I looked in your store for the brown VB bag from yesterday's video, but I guess it sold because it wasn't there. I'm sad.
A lot of people don't know that a "Relic" brand purse is "Fossil"..so if you see one grab it

Wonder if someone took the Radko out of the box and it looked unassuming so they asked for it to be priced and got it for cheaper…
I'm 60 but love to see the flate pants on young people. I have some not as flared love them. Comfy too.
Lollllll, those flare pants were big in the 70's
They were called bell bottoms . Pretty popular now also .
Love you to life, (not death), Julian and Kayla.
Apples last a lot longer in the refrigerator. About two months.
You guys should sign your merch you have in the booth.
