I love these videos! I sit down with a coffee bright and early to watch and get inspired and then do it myself. Thanks for being so open and talking through your budget it really helps! I just finished reading "The Personality Brokers" if you love psych books this is a must read! It's all about the history of the Myers-Briggs test and it's implications :)

Yeah I hear ya! Sometimes I have to remind myself not to set huge goals in every area, because then I can't focus on actually hitting them 😅 so it's a balance for sure!

I used Notion! It is definitely my favorite way to plan 😊
So after watching this I have really miscalculated certain things. Also, this is quite personal information that you're showing us. How much you earn and where you spend it.
First, that time block concept makes perfect sense and I would love to see how you use that in a strategically, productive way. And I have no idea what that 12 week UA-cam thing is. You'll explain you had said so that's great.
And then you had said that Jackson was also a CS QA and this is where that personal info comes in. I really thought Jackson would be making 4-5K every month from that, as I thought you were as well when you were a QA. So I see how that's not the case. However, you're on the right track to making sure that a more affluent path is in order so that's what counts.
It is a lot of information, but I think money and budgeting doesn't need to be such a "taboo" topic anyway! I think the more freely people share their experiences with finances the more we can all learn from each other 😊
Your calculations really aren't far off though. Since Jackson's pay is biweekly, some months have a third paycheck while other months only have two, so the annual amount is a bit more than this month might make it look. Plus we have deductions for retirement and stock options taken out of his paycheck!
