My first Liltenhead cameo! I was the loneop. I knew how many zombies there were on station so while considering what could get me enough firepower to get through all those zombies I realized how funny it would be to bust in with 10 monkeys. I'm glad you enjoyed it lol
I tried to do a zombie ops round once, it was to be started by a single monkey reinforcement walking into med and injecting people with a romerol-lead mixture, however the monkey entered the station through an unpowered airlock and had chucked their spacesuit into space and was unable to pry the door open fast enough.and ended up dying to space damage. And also had no chance of injecting himself with the romerol
This has every aspect of a horror movie where everyone was holding the idiot ball. Zombies dropping too early and easily backfiring on the nukies, the lone op summoning a bunch of monkeys that only made the situation worse... incredible.
These videos are always crazy to watch because it's always close, there is never one of these where I've thought "wow, they hardly even had to put up a fight" - no matter how much of an early advantage the nukies or the crew get, there's always so many things that can go right or wrong for either side that can add up over time.
Wouldn't a good Zombie Ops be to breach, kill a bunch, infect, then reposition to the other side of the station so the crew is caught between zombies and nukies?
I was the zombie (Christina) there in space fooling with you and the commander :). I was giggling like a child when were on the same tile shooting and biting. Beautiful
Love these videos along with your tutorials, but as a beginner I find all the syndies and nukies just an impossibility and a no-fun activity. You're doing your job and suddenly you're dead.
syndies have much more roleplay opportunity than it looks, but nukies are very much what you’ve described it’s one of the main reasons i dislike the mode: it basically obliterates any roleplay that could have taken place during the round
during a nukie attack, your goal shouldnt be to “beat” them unless youre security. if youre not, then your goal should be survival. that could mean fighting, if fighting is your only option, but it could also mean trying your best to find a shuttle and save people. there is absolutely fun rp to be had when everything breaks down and your only goal is to make it out alive but if you just dont like that, try frontier! its a server with basically no antagonists, especially none who could actually end a round
It feels like theres a lot more nuke ops rounds on ss14 than when i played ss13, although that was more than 5 years ago. Don't know why the gamemode is common. Maybe because there arent changelings?

you don't deploy the zombies until you have the nuke armed.

also when i was in engie maints i didnt know that my team was THAT close to me, so i went completely back
