A GP1200 was my 3rd ski, I kept if for 5 years and had so much fun, it was very reliable and fast enough. Thanks for bring back some very good memories.
Have been waiting on 66mm piston, ring and gasket set since august and they have turned to ghosts as if it wasn’t hard enough to get ahold of them in the first place.
4:52 How was there a nearly 6 second difference between 98gp1200 red lap times between Josh (43.07) & Jacob (48.89)? Was Jacob towing 2 people on an inner tube?? Lol
I've always wanted to take a jet ski and use the engine and jet inside of this Jon boat I have have a joystick on the right when you push forward it turns right when you pull back it turns left and throttle like a brake lever from a motorbike

Great in waves as well I just found it a little unstable at slow speeds I had friends tip it over. A few times
Right on!
Man that all-white GP is SHARP!
I've had a '97 GP1200, '03 GP1200R and more recently a '08 G1300R. I must say the '97 model was my favorite especially in the surf.
That makes sense because the 97 is lighter and has fantastic initial hole shot. Probably really fun in the waves

I had that exact same one you’re riding was strong fast machine I could do 65 mph stock.
Still got my Gp1200r. It only has 110hrs.

You have to wonder. I'm not as good on the sit down but that's a lot of time. Probably was a low tide and ski issues.
I would guess that he spun out once or twice and couldn't be bothered to redo the lap haha
Great vid. We need a video on the 1995 Seadoo xp 800 please I love them skis please please bring it back
Thanks, we might get the 95 xp out this year but it really depends on how smooth every thing else goes.
@@JetSkiBrothers alright I’ll be looking for it 🤘🏻
You need to show how to improve turning by mods ???????
Intake grate, ride plate, and slot the sponsons (up in front down in back)
I still have my 99 GP1200 and I can still run with most of the newer skis. And for less than a $2000 investment.
The first gen gp1200 were good skis for sure

Soon......
I don’t see you guys repping them at all anymore
the 99 1200 non pv was considerably faster than the original 97's
What was the difference ? I know the exhaust cone in the 97 was shorter and wider, then 98/99 had the 63m cone
Kawasaki Stxr 1200 was the best 2stroke racing ski
I rode one of these. Speedo says 72, easy.
