- This is the long awaited successor to the famous Master of G Mudmaster flagship line that was originally introduced in 2015.
Is the GWG-2000 a worthy successor? There are many similarities that are carried over. Almost 90% unchanged which I think is a good thing. The biggest changes are mainly in the materials and the overall build. Functionality is essentially unchanged. Watch the video and find out more! Enjoy!!!

I've never been so excited over a watch in my whole life. I always was a watch person and after years and after the first settled, I was a huge fan of watches that were accurate. I've always been obsessed with my watch being correct to the second. My wish was granted and I bought a Seiko Coutura, (SSG-010, and SSG-020). The radio sync to the atomic clock made sure my watch was accurate to the second. And slowly I began to eyeball the G-Shocks. I didn't want a watch that used a cellphone to sync with. Something about a watch that was autonomous was huge for me. The second I got my eyes on the GWG1000, then the 2000, I knew I had to have one. The barometer was key to as it is extremely useful to predicting weather if you know how to read the trend in pressure. I live in Florida so it can be storming on one side of the city and sunny on the other so having sensors was a huge bonus. Finally I was getting a haircut and I seen this in person. I sold my two Seiko's that day and ordered this one.
After two months, it's a masterpiece.

Great video showing the watch from different angles and a great review of what the watch can do, this is the first video that I’ve seen that shows the actual colour properly. I bought mine 2 weeks ago, I was torn between the grey one and the one you bought, and I ended up buying the same one as yours. Just like you, I couldn’t care less about it being cased in Thailand. I love the colour combination and the newer slightly different look that still resembles the original in so many ways. I prefer the GWG-2000 for the lighter weight, stainless steel bezel and stronger carbon core body, but I would still have been very happy if I had the GWG-1000 with its bigger body and more rugged look, and I agree that the GWG-1000 is still a fantastic watch. To be honest I’m seriously thinking of buying a GWG-1000 so that I can have both. I think the majority of people would be extremely happy with either of them.
Im the happy owner of gwg-1000 for many years. Absolutely happy. Thought few times to buy some new of same style and function, but simply not exist. 😊

The 1000 is usually hundreds of dollars less. I ended up ordering this exact model because it was the only one I could find available from an authorized Casio dealer! Was going to get the 1000 but not sure about dealers from Hong Kong, Japan etc. that are not on Casios list. Getting mine from the Netherlands for just about $700!

I personally love the 2000 over the 1000. It’s a very comfortable watch and more comfortable to use with jackets and any long sleeve shirts. The gwg1000 is still a great watch.
That color looks good. I saw the green one and didn't like it with all the different colors it has on it. I do like the smaller size of the new one especially the shorter height versus the gwg 1000.

@@evvlau I don’t need 3. I will buy bands in different colors and change out as needed. If I can get the gwg1000 with a better light and digital display, I will keep both models. I am considering getting rid of the gwg1000 and buying a frogman. The gwg2000 is my new favorite watch and another color option would be fun to have. I have the red inserts on the gwg2000. If they make a red band, I could switch out and go red. I’m hoping they make a red color option. Unfortunately the yellow band doesn’t work with the red and I love the yellow color. I may get the yellow gwg2000 and get rid of my gwg1000. I will purchase a black band to switch out the green from time to time. I do a lot of fishing and will get a frogman for my ocean activities.
I wish you would have shown the lume in the dark. I’ve read that it’s much brighter and there’s much more of it on the face of the Watch including the numbers.

Yes, very bright👍👍👍. I got the same model (GWG2000-1A5ER) and I instantly become the biggest fan of it! I owned a quiet few watches and some of them are $4000-5000 watches. Also, I give my Apple Watch Ultra (latest and greatest) to my son, because of how much I love my Mudmaster!!!! If you didn’t bought yours yet-get it! You’ll never regret!!!!!
Is it a SmartWatch? because it can use BT ( i do not See IT as SmartWatch but an easyer WAY to adjust it). Does it produce radiation?
Stunning watch as Well. Not a g shock but this Looks stunningly versatile to wear with most cesual outfits and suita without time, altho i would choose Steel squer in gold or silver in this cases
If I could add camo strap on my 1000 I'd be happy for another many years. 😊

Its not fake. All the GWG-2000 Mudmasters are cased in Thailand (meaning it was assembled in Thailand). The module 5678 is made and assembled in Japan.
The original GWG-1000 was made and assembled entirely in Japan...however, the later special edition models were also cased in Thailand.
Personally, I don't think it matters, as the workmanship and quality appears to be consistent and very good!
Such a shame Casio didn't make more changes with this model. It's not much smaller really. Neither will go under a shirt cuff. Seems like a money grab to me.
GWG 1000 is way better watch
It's way too big and I have an 8" wrist. Also the LCD display is useless. It is unreadable unless in bright light. The one major upgrade that the GWG-2000 brings is a much better LCD display which you can actually read.
@@adamski101 hey I brought gwg 1000 1A3 online. Looks great. But I find it a little bigger on my wrist. So I am planning to exchange it to gwg 2000 1a5. But seller is telling me that 2000 is bigger in size than 1000. Is it? And is the display of 2000 small than 1000? Plz reply.
@@junemsb gwg 1000 is way bigger. Feels like a tool on your wrist. Gwg 2000 is smaller and feels cheap. Have 7x gwg 1000 and 2x gwg 2000
No, it’s not. GWG-2000 better watch by far.
