I was interested on the hilltop towns of Istria. And this is one of them. I'll leave the exploration of the new town on you :) I don't have the physical time to visit every corner of a town :(
I am sorry for my ignorance. But your message ( and your channel name ) intrigued me and I googled "Albona Republic" and hopefully I will receive a good amount of information.
The two cannons in Labin were first used in the 19th century. I seriously doubt that they were functional in 1941. I lived in the old town of Labin in the early 60s and at that time the cannons were not there. They were recovered many years later and now they are a permanent feature in the old town. I played marbles where the cannon is now at the front entrance of the town.
Wow...what a video. Well made. This is fantastic!
Thank you so much :)
How nice!!!
Nice feedback :) Thank you!!
You should show the whole city, not just the old part inside the walls.👍The city is incredible but it lacks content, there is the new part.👌

That cannon and a battery of them defeated the German Army in 1941 but was completely ignored. Such a shock to me as my father manned it.
