From time to time I get gifts sent to me often with out any warning
My UA-cam contract says that they could be deemed as payed promotions
Due to the nature of me doing vids daily mostly in a hurry
I feel it’s best so not to fall foul of contract so I will now just add the hash tag #paidpromotion to all my vids This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated
#yourharvest
Not many business/people would let a total stranger (young boy) onto a machine (tractor & combine) just like that, good on you Olly well done for probably making a young lads day week year, very nice considerate thought hope you can get the harvest in soon. Great videos
Good question Olly "Why do we farm". You farm because. A: It's a tradition, it's a family thing, it's a way of life that others will never ever understand. It's a fight between you and the land sometimes with Mother Natures help and sometimes not. Joe Public expect instant access to food but have very little understanding of how it turns up on the shelves in the shops. Sad to say that the last time the public truly engaged with food production was between 1939 and 1954 when rationing ended! All the armchair experts need to fact check history to see how important farming was and is, so much so that the Women's Land Army were formed while men of fighting age were serving in the forces! 🙏 👍. I'm 85% because I believe in what you and all the other farmers are doing. 👌.
i went to a farm sale today........met a neighbour who's just lost his mother, she had been bed rid'n for last 6 months and barely eating anything. met another farmer who i hadn't seen in ages and he's got cancer and is receiving radio therapy. and all the talk of the sale field was another local farmer who has just comited suicide.........he was in his late 50's. and when you have a day like that of hearing about other people's bad luck with there health or people taking there own life it puts everything else into significance. if you got your health and a good state of mind we live for another day
not been a year for beans , thanks for sharing , hope overall its been a good one for you best wishes mark and alex
Great to see Farmer James so keen.😊
It's a shame that the beans haven't yielded very well, it's what I like about your video's you show the bad with the good. Well done for letting the young boy onto the Combine & Tractor, something he will remember for years to come. 80% Today.
Great vid, love seeing James on the vids. We'll done for encouraging the next generation of farmers 😊
Great attitude letting the little boy sit in the tractor. Important to engage with the public. Well done Olly.
Yields have been disappointing overall this harvest yet we are all getting ready to go again. 🤦
On the plus side the beans have put a lot of nutrients back into the soil
Great video Olly lovely to see young James watching the combine he really does look like you 😊. How lovely of you to show that young lad the machines you have hopefully he will be knocking on your door for a job one day. Felt so sorry for the disappointing crop you looked so down hearted, you farm because its in your blood and your a good man who dose so much for the community.
Chin up and have a great day tomorrow watching the bikes. I used to go to croft circuit to watch my farther in law race his cars , looking forward to seeing your video tomorrow. Take care 💜
Can't beat a bit of dua lipa!! I thought the beans were looking good early on but I suppose a cool spring with no sunshine hasn't helped! 😢 Doing what you love!!👍👍
Olly what’s funny about the sky is the geo engineering and how people don’t notice it is amazing 🤷🏼♂️
put the sticky pads on the magnets as there is a chance that they will migrate towards each other over time and you will end up with a bunch of magnets stuck together. Great video.
How disappointing the yield for the. Beans I’d stop growing them when your getting a yield like that it’s been a heartbreaking harvest every one says there yields are down Olly you made that little boys day letting him on a tractor and the Combine do you know he’ll never forget that good on you I get on great with young people and today you’ve got to encourage them as much as you can and what you did what a lovely gesture and one day he might be knocking on your door wanting a job And what goes. Around comes around feeling 96% today and Olly. What a super video
Oly the sun emits all colours of light on the spectrum however blue light scatters in our atmosphere all other colours can penetrant it if there was no blue light you could look up to the sky and see space during the day
I feel your pain mate. We're going on a month with no rain here. Crops dying before it's even tried filling. 😢
We're just professional gamblers. Betting on weather, input costs, and market pricing. If we don't do it, who will?
Great video Olly. Yes James does look like you
I owned a business in a completely different industry and always asked the same question. Hold firm you’ve diversified and hopefully you’ll survive as one of the fittest. At least you have an appreciating asset 👍
I can sympathise with the beans a difficult crop to grow and harvest if conditions don't play ball, remember people harvesting them late with beans going mouldy in the pods. Been tempted to try and grow them but need to be in drier areas. Good you show the reality of farming good and bad no white washing.
Farming is heart braking sometimes. Yesterday we went on a tour of Vale Vineyard, near Denbeigh. Their grapes are just like the beans etc this yr, tiny grapes and not many of them.
I really worry about food production in uk.
A few combines out on spring barley in Northamptonshire, beans not ready 🚜
Great video Olly and nice to see youngsters interested in farming if there’s going,to be any left the way everything is going which is a shame and most probably,a lack of sunshine and if I was a conspiracy theorist I could say it’s the planes dumping stuff, into the atmosphere because we’re the only country not having all the sun, that everyone else has had 👍👍
The beans were drilled in such good conditions with the claydon and 25t quad track.
so other people who use big tractors for drilling don't get good yields? 🤣
Olly put the the sticky pads on just to ensure you don’t loose the magnet because if it did work it’s way into the boiler it could be a night mare for catching bits of metal in side the boiler, just a suggestion I could be wrong
Honestly can’t wait for James to start taking over your youtube, another year or so and he will be into everything and everywhere. Going to be really difficult keeping him off camera when he is riding where he shouldn’t be riding if you know what I mean 😂. Can’t believe how wet it is with you , looking like a repeat of last year unless it drys up for you
Hi Olly it must be so frustrating for you when the crops are not producing....😀😀😀😀60%
I love growing beans had a good crop this year don't give up just because we had a bad year
Hopefully get 2 see u at oulton park 2moz my two year loves bikes and tractors and ur videos! It would make his year
Good video 👍 88% shame about the beans yields were so poor.
Gutted, you are not getting the yield olly. But on a positive, kudos to you taking some time out to fulfil a young man's dream and letting him look around the machinery. I'm sure that's something he won't forget.
its hard work and then very easily it can be lost, however Olly you have a great team and more a beautiful family although its not a good result overall your glass is half full 🙃and the support you all have is huge. Hope mum on the mend and dad surviving 😂😂be safe from essex
Hi Olly, lack of sun garden not good Tom's not red, 75% not sleeping well, looking like a good week sunny??
Liked the outros. Beans have let you down, hope the hen do cheered you up a bit 😂
Love the way you encourage the youngsters. Feel your disappointment with the beans. 85% Take care.
Hope you are enjoying the Border Biscuits 😎
Hi olly combines moving here in the cotswolds first time for weeks 😂
Hello Olly he is spitting image of you we have been cutting wheat today still got more to go but the yield is nothing to write home about 👍👍
Plenty of combines out in Lincolnshire today, making the most of decent weather
Mum annoying me so only 90% today.
Weather sunny intervals and showers, but not out so no car count.
Might be worth glueing the magnets on as the pressure of the chip may posh them off
Hi Olly Nice Video Thanks again
U cqn get plastic weld repair for the core as its ali. it can work quite well! but if we do it for a customer we wont warranty it. u can re-core or if its just plastic ali be easier and possibly cheaper to replace aftermarket.
Hi olly watching from tipperary we cut 50 ac got 2.7ton ac
Im on leave for 2 weeks so 90%
Shame about the harvest. It's a shocking crop.
Good to see James eating pickled onion space raiders! My favourite. Are they still only 10p?
I feel your frustration at the poor bean yield Olly, it must almost have been a total waste of time and money planting it?
Liverpool news - farmer turns up at a local hen do with his new tractor as part of his farm diversification scheme, “well its more entertaining than watching pigeons eating my crops” he said. 😂🤣😊😍🤪👍
Hi Olly ,I understand you met my granddaughter Emaliegh at a pub in Haddenham and my wife was parked next to your car...
I only found that out today (sat)
Still watching your videos every day...5*
Where is haddenham?
I don’t think I’ve been there
It's near Ely Cambridgeshire.
You could have a lookalike double?
Never go backwards, always forwards, we do it because we love our way of life, yes it is hard unrewarding work but when you are in a field watching the sunset whilst combining would you want to be anywhere else ??? And occasionally it even pays …
Time for some ploughing
My best friend Fr Robin morriserry went to Uk last weekend for a break and heart breaking for us he died suddenly. Now we are waiting to repatriate his body back to co cork. But a big delay prolonging the agony for his family. Can anyone help.
I sowed three lots of Broad Beans for my garden one lot in Autumn and two a month apart in spring they had tonnes of flowers but all three sowings cropped at the same time and I had a very poor crop off them despite the number of flowers
Lots of veg has been very poor this year and Tomatoes have been the worst crop ever
60% today
Combine broken down, poor yields, grain dryer in a million pieces and rain forecast for tonight and tomorrow....
That's Life
just watched sammy with her john deere 6410, 6910 & 7810. glad we have got out of farming 1
BSB, haven't seen that for years - since BBC stopped broadcasting it.
Great video Olly very disappointing bean yield this year
He’s the spitting image. Surely you drilled the beans at 0.19t/ha?? 😂😂
Hi there could you show use what gose on at back off your farm ner where your doing woodchipping seem alot going on.?
Shame about the beans , spring ones still to cut up here.
Can’t name the song from two muffled seconds of it !
Is that Dua Lipa at the end though ?
Yes
new radiator mate as they canot be welded
Olly, what kind of beans are they? I've been meaning to ask. Are they for animal feed or human consumption?
Seed
Was there any difference in bean yield with the horsh and clayon drill .
We all wonder why our farmers do it year after year. Think thing is going to get worse from here on in with the new government as they are cutting the budget for our farmers as if they can afford to get less after the terrable weather and harvest they have had.
I like your near description of Insanity….repeating the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.
Thank you for showing the harsh reality on farming.
What a bad crop of beans, you’d get more selling the ergot for LSD 😅
What mischief is Ian up to? We've not seen him in ages.
The beans are very much like the vining peas have been this year. 😕
Can't believe beans are worse than last year.😢
I won £4.10 on the lottery Fri. Turn that into forty million. I would of been selecting farmers to donate some cash for a boost. You'd been one😊
Hi olly and when you invest in the equipment and crops don't do very well.
Does he look like me you ask? No, but he does look like the Postman!
Blimey those beans were poor Olly. Sorry mate.
Do you think more dung would help.
were playing casino game ,and the bets against us this year again , 2 hopeless years
its called SAI , look up geo- engineering , weather modifcation for the sheep
Time to get the plough out mr blogs, no business can stand poor yields. Compaction and wet costing you a fortune
Just thinking the same
What kind of beans are they???
Rubbish ones
We only have soybeans that is why i asked@OllyBlogsAgricontractfarmer
They do not look like our north American soybeans @OllyBlogsAgricontractfarmer
Just plant bird seed and take the subsidy 95%
Wouldn't it be amazing say in 10 years time that young lad that says he's going to work on your farm ends up doing so, I hope that happens 😀
got more machines tan pxfarms and only 500 acres 😁
Why bother planting beans?
8:44 because if you didn’t you’d be bored
Rad can be welded. Easy fix for someone who knows what to do.
At least they put nitrogen back in the soil they look like cattle feed check with Joe or Mrs Ashley. You kept it quiet bout women running around the farm in lingere lol
16:21 great content again I spoke to someone who has an allotment and he said some of his broad beans and runners beans have not done very good this year
👀🙄🐾👍
2 min in 58th. View
Only James is the spit of u as for beans don't bither
First have a good weekend
I hate to be horrible but I think you put very little effort into grain 😢
There beans ?
Be better selling for homes
Olly mate just stop growing beans every year your get a bad harvest of them it’s not viable down in south east we can grow beans like it’s nothing.
spraying a carcinogen on the food , well done
