    Great UA-cam channel start guys! You've reached New Zealand and hope you continue growing your channel to the world. I've always been a road cyclist but have discovered EMTB with my wife at the age of 53. Looking for all the tips we can get down those steep drop offs and jumps which we are probably riding our luck with at the moment with poor technique. We're loving it though.

      Hi Andrew! Thanks for the message and super stoked you guys found value! We love EMTB’s and we are also keen to get one! We come from a Triathlon background before we discovered MTB! Now we just can’t get enough! All our tips will certainly assist with your e-bikes! Take care and look forward to hearing from you guys again! 👊😎

    Usually when I see a coaching video I roll my eyes and have some correction to make. You 2 killed it though! This video is also the first time I’ve heard someone mention the opposing force created by a dropped heel and slightly pointed toe. 😊 I’ve been doing that naturally for a couple years and always thought it was odd seeing myself ride rock gardens like that in video clips. Now I understand why I don’t slip pedals in rock gardens when my friends do. I’ll be spreading that little nugget of info to everyone I can. 🤘

    • @vicwesmtb
      @vicwesmtb  Рік тому +1

      Thanks for the comment!! Yes, dropping both heels causes our hips to shift behind the balance point. Having a “foot wedge” in place keeps us centred between the wheels no matter what gradient and our feet stay solid on the pedals through the rough 👊😎

    Hi guys, just discovered your channel and I love it, started MTB some months ago and this is what I needed. You're good teachers and inspire good vibes and confidence.
    Here is my suggestion, it is just a personal preference, but I think the music you use in the videos doesn't match the vibes of the channel, I'd rather listen something more calming and inspiring. Anyway, thanks for the videos and wish you good luck with your channel!

    This is great... so tyres not too soft or not too hard but no recommendation? Please advise?

    • @vicwesmtb
      @vicwesmtb  Рік тому +1

      Hi Tyran! Thanks for the message. A good overall starting pressure for most riding terrains including rockier trails is 26psi back & 23 psi front (1.8 & 1.6 bar). With that said, ones tyre choice and rim width can also determine pressures, wider rims and fatter tyres does allow us to run softer setups which gives us more grip. We never go softer than 21/19psi however - and that’s if there are not many big hits or big rocky sections. If it’s super rocky and steep with big hits we may pump up to around 29psi at the back and 26 front - we will never go harder than this … too hard and you’re bouncing all over the place 😉 hope this helps!
