(This is Bob's wife.) We had to show him Bob Ross's videos not long ago so he could see what everyone was talking about. The kids and I have laughed about it for awhile.
I get that you want people to know it's a carving, I would too, but someone mistaking it for the real thing is about as good of a compliment as you could get in my opinion. Beautiful work sir.
My first nine years was living in a remote Alaskan village. We had a lot of salmon and moose meat. Watching you carve such a beautiful example of this creature makes me how majestic of a beast a moose really is.
Most amazing part is when you painted the eyes. It went from a statue to (almost) alive with a few brushstrokes. I expected it to shake it's head. Amazing!!!
You've certainly achieved realism Bob - if I had the money and space I'd commission a piece from you - beautiful work - very humbling to watch. Stay safe!
WOW! I have done a lot of wood carving, but nothing like that! Yesterday, I found my first ever set of shed moose antlers. I was thinking of carving a wooden skull to put them on, like a European mount.......now you have me thinking bigger! Trouble is, I live in a trailer house!!
You, Sir, are the Bob Ross of wood carving. Thats amazing work! I'm a wildlife and pet portrait artist from Calgary who wishes he was a wood carver lol
What a relaxing way to spend your time. Your channel got recommended to me and I'm happy to be here. Your voice and property are so soothing. Thanks for taking us along!!
a fantastic lesson in human thought, passion and expression! I dig your style. Greetings from the border country of Minnesota where we still have moose, clean water, and crisp air.
I guessed when you started staining that you used to paint..This is so beautifully done ,yes it does look real, only from seeing them in videos as I am in the U.K. ..I like the idea of a piece of beautiful art sitting on the wall rather than the real thing .Your very talented and it was a real pleasure watching this moose come alive 😀
Exceptional work, truly breathtaking. I'm glad I was able to see a master woodcarver at work producing masterpiece artwork in my lifetime. Thank you so much for sharing with us .🌺
Holy amazing!!!!!! Wow sir Bob, you are extremely talented. It takes a keen eye to see what you see, to see anatomically correct, and put it into your work, is extremely difficult!!!! You sir have a true genuine gifted talent!!!!! Props my friend! Don't i wish my mind could see the lines and shapes so perfectly and transfer that image in your mind so perfectly! Just WOW! Good work!
I really enjoyed your video. It reminds me of a moose head mount in a variety store here in Bloomington, In. Where my dad took me to by my first Carhardt and Redwing boots when I started my apprenticeship back in 1984. It was also the store where I bought the first gun with my own money. The head seemed to be about eight feet from the bottom of the neck to the top of the antlers.
Wow what an amazing work. You are the Da'vinci of wood carvers. This video should have millions of likes and Im not sure why it has not. Bravo good sir.👍
I am a new subscriber! Very peaceful and comforting to watch. I could never afford to have you make a piece for me. But if I could, it would be of my German Shepherd Dog Moose. In 2018 we were in a house fire. I was thrown across the room from the explosion. Hurt badly I couldn't move. He grabbed my arm and drug me away from the flames. Well, in the end we didn't make it. They were able to save me but not him. They should have left me with him. I lost everything but his loss was the worst. I am still recovering slowly. Still pretty sick. But, if I could, I would have you carve my Moosie. But since I can't I will pretend I could. Thank you so much for sharing a beautiful talent! A'HO
@@BobWhiteheadCarvings Yes it is. But, the best I can do is survive and thrive! I am 66 so the going is slow. I am going though. Thank you for responding! I loved the landscape. The mist, the sun, all of it. A'HO
Great video and fun to watch !...but can you get into some of the equipment you use? Like type of chain on saw;size of chain saw. Are you self taught ? Are the chains specially ground?..........Simply amazing skill !
The Bob Ross of woodcarving.
I had that same thought watching this and then I saw your comment. :)
NOO! You both beat me to it. 🤣
(This is Bob's wife.) We had to show him Bob Ross's videos not long ago so he could see what everyone was talking about. The kids and I have laughed about it for awhile.
