parent the empty to carrig
just select empty cube first then select CarRig
Press ctrl + p , parent to object

need help!! my object (car) is not following the path correctly. Tried many things I'm not able to fix it.

That happened to me as well. Remove the path from 'Target'. Then make sure the origin of the rig is properly set. If 'Origin to Geometry' doesn't work then use 'Geometry to Origin'. That worked for me.
