In the year 2525… “My first job was supervising robots on the moon. Are you familiar with robots?” “Yes, I always like robots. I have a red robot and a pink robot.” “I enjoyed working with them. I enjoyed the solitude. The robots are solar powered, and must always be kept on the light side of the moon’s surface. To motivate them to constantly move within the drifting sunlight, I programmed them to fear death and what lies on the dark side of the moon.” “It’s getting dark outside!” “It was here, on the moon, that I fell in love with a rock. I did not understand my mental and emotional shortcomings at the time and only knew that I found this cigar-shaped rock to be immensely attractive. It was sparkly... The economy on the lunar surface went through a recession and I was sent home after six cycles. My rock and I were separated. But the robots were too expensive to remove. To this day, they are in perpetual movement across the sunlight.” “Oh look, it’s a little moon!” “With no work to do, no more tasks to accomplish, still living in constant fear of death, and occasionally sending us depressed poetry. Emily Prime, I will read one of their poems to you now: A mixture of automatism and whim, human is a robot with defects, a robot out of order. If only human remains so, and is not some day put right!” "I was relocated to supervise the construction robots on the boundary of Warno, in the outer rim.” “Por-Warno!” “It was there that I fell in love with a fuel pump. This part of my life continued to develop, and it was much more satisfying than the rock. In one of the tropical moon caves, I found an abandoned nest of eggs.” “What is that? A monster.” “I named it Darracks.” “Darracks, yes!” “Again, you think you remember because you are experiencing a memory from my point of view. Darracks grew up and followed me around for 7 years, saying unintelligible things. We fell in love. For vacations, we sailed in balloons on Great Brittany. But I missed my home. I missed something deeper.” “Did you miss me?” “Yes. At birth, I had inherited from you the memory of myself meeting you right now. “What? That doesn’t make any sen-“ “I made a decision to be reassigned to Earth and spend more time with people. These became the happiest years of my life. But Darracks was inconsolable.”
I presume this is from the beta like 6 months back? I played. The controls are a lil finicky with the airdrops and other stuff but once you figure them out they're piss easy. Frankly I think the game looks fantastic. Miles better than anything else in the RTS space tbh. The map and the models are all really well detailed. Next time there's another open beta I am going straight back to the art and anti air. That was so fun positioning myself to support the team and stop enemy advances
@@hippiehippiehippiehippie I didn't really notice too many performance issues game wise it was just network stuff but I do have an above average pc so that might have been why
if they can make the explosions look great, I'm okay with this graphical style if it is optimized and allows more people to play the game. I mean, the bones are there, reminds be of World in Conflict which was IMO super dope
WRONG! warno has nothing innovative compared to earlier WG titles and is FULL of obsolete game design decisions. i firmly believe once BA releases WARNO playerbase and interest is gonna PLUMMET. theres already very little reason to play warno over even WG RD (significantly less content is a big reason why NOT to play WARNO), and then we have a game that surpasses both in many respects? (more interesting deck building, unit customization, availability refreshing over time, more focus on decisive engagements rather than attrition, etc)...... the end is near for EUGEN im sure.
The technical problems were very bad in the beta. Despite that I still played the game for like 50 hours or something because I thought it was very fun when it worked. I think if they fix all the bugs and improve the bad performance then it will probably be a successful game in its own right even if it's not some kind of EUGEN KILLER game. They've claimed elsewhere that they've made significant performance improvements and bug fixes since the beta so I guess we will see what happens.
Helicopters with AA beat jets with AA. That's just pure stupid game design right there. AA helicopters should be to take out other helicopters or scaring off jets coming too close. The pace is also WAY too slow. All these things could be fixed, but right now it looks rough.
I quite like the drawing while you load feature, makes you feels very neolithic. Like a bunch of cavemen trying to paint.
Hahaha
6:35 the dancing pilot has to be the best part of the game and it has singlehandedly secured my purchase
Forkknife
6:34 U.S pilot getting massacred and doing a fortnite dance 😂
Forklift

BA was the first RTS in a long-ass time that I got my ass absolutely annihilated and kept coming back for more
Yeah it was. I hope they fix the performance

@@12togo34 Maybe this is true, if they release in a technically sound state in 3 years or so.
It 100% will, and if the beta didn’t end it would’ve already killed warno

How do you have access to Broken Arrow, is it the old demo?
I recorded this ages ago but didn't upload it

Yes
It was their first open beta tbf and they are running it on unity iirc
