Proud of Tyler V. Two big wins as a true freshman. Making team Delbarton proud and earning a starting spot on a prestigious team like the Princeton Tigers. Same for Joe Davi both young men wrestled tough, Maybe I missed it was Dan Jones in the room for a wrestle off or dealing with injury? Those are my people took my young true fresh sucking 22 pounds his freshmen year (2022-2023) from 12x to 106 (until the January gift of 208, what a difference 2 pounds makes) under their wings and helped him out big time so owe them nothing but thanks, gratitude and luv for as much wrestling that they have left in them! Those were some rough days between Davi's super sauna, Tyler and Dan right in the middle of the cuts with the boys they were awesome role models as how to do it right and safe! Going to get my son and family up to a few matches and a visit this year. What a fantastic school lead by a GREAT coach that is generate tons of attention and enthusiasm by recruited awesome classes. Best of Luck in 2024-25 coach Joe Dubuque and the entire Princeton Tigers team! Including Anthony Moscatello another NJ native and standout stud at Mount Olvie with the rest of that team, My son wrestled the smaller guys like Bulluck has his youth career, Tyler Hagenson when they were 6, Carter Cafone when he was 7 and is now at Delbarton with a room of hammers,. working back from a busted ankle the goal is to find a spot in the starting lineup or support the team the best he can and be where he is needed, Best of luck to the NJ boys mentioned above, keep up the energy coach it is contagious! If you ever have room for a visit to meet my son Dyan Palentchar, good tickets to match day, which I will gladly pay for or an open practice we can drop in on an say hi. Please don't hesitate to let me know, we will make the time for it! You want find stats on him last year 4 matches in snapped his foot/ankle on the growth plate most of his HS wrestling was done in 2022-2023, Sophomore year was a bust ankle BUST, and now training for the nig year which is junior! Long winded way od saying would love you to meet my son and best of luck to you my NJ crew and Delbarton family!
Personally if losing a wrestle off I’m taking time to rebuild. I wouldn’t be trying to compete but I would try to develop for that year because let’s just be honest if you get the crap beaten out of you, it’s very unlikely that you will beat that same person in a couple of short weeks after. Just my personal take.
Y’know, I see your point, but I also feel like, why not just re-challenge? I mean, a wrestling match takes like 7 minutes tops (college regulation). Why not focus on rebuilding AND wrestle off again just because?
@@somerandomguythatlikesmeme7396 If it’s a close match then yes rematch him in like a month/same year. If your getting blown out by a lot of points or getting pinned in a quick amount of time then you should be focusing on rebuilding your mental strength and technique until the next year to try again. If your getting blown out by someone, then you will have no shot in beating them in a short amount of time later. Let’s just say you get teched 15-0. It’s only logical that your not beating someone in the same year if they teched you 15-0 during the wrestle off. Of course outside of practice you should be focusing on your lifting and cardio regardless losing or not.
Yes, they’re now 3 point takedowns in college. There’s been a lot of collegiate rule changes since 2014. For instance, back points are now 4 points with a 4 count 3 points with a 3 count and 2 points with a 2 count. There’s other small things that have been added like reaction time, how control is defined for takedowns, and danger points
@@WrestlingPrinceton was this not to see who starts or is there more to come to decide that... when I hear wrestle off I must assume it's for the starting spot but from what it sounds is that has not happened yet
you guys do media RIGHT
My man! Thank you 🙏 - It’s great to see your brand grow over time. Keep doing what you’re doing!

I’ve watched Martino wrestle in high school! The wrestlers from Bishop Kelly high school are going to be super excited for him.
great video, 12:09 was my favorite match, Squires is an absolute beast who has a beautiful set-up to his shot, and he hit it more than once too.
Thank you!

Why do wrestlers accept the bottom position like at 7.34 and 8.58? I'm not from America but I watch a bit and can't figure it out
If you’re good at escaping then it’s a free point.
i haven't wrestled since 2014 but I thought take downs were only 2 points, did that get changed?

That coach looks like Michael Bisping 😂
Did Heethuis really just win his spot?
Is white former starters or is it a draw to see if you are black or white?... don't know much about Princeton wrestling Even though I live 20 min away
Coaches (Ty Whalen & Kole Mulhauser) chose team match ups. Thank you for watching and hope to see you at our matches this year! #letsgetwild
