The new spotting mechanic is a big improvement, especially in a destroyer. I used to dread games with a carrier b/c once they find you, there's no escaping and everyone on the Reds could instantly disintegrate you. It's way more realistic for the time period of these ships that a plane can spot you itself and radio in an approximate location, but not everyone should be able to immediately, accurately target you.
To get the third fire you can slow down or accelerate. People shoot the middle. So if you slow down it will hit your bow. If you accelerate it will hit your stern. But reality is you’ll get set on fire again on the next salvo. It’s useful to get rid of floods but that’s about it. Cheers
Vermont does indeed make broadsides pay.. was broadside to one that was unspotted and he got like a double cit for 3/4 of my Colombo’s hp.. that stung reaaal bad..
Zao has 203s so can't overmatch Brisbane. I actually like playing Vermont bc it takes brainpower to utilize it's guns instead of playing something that's braindead easy. I do hope they give it the base alpha from PC though.
Hey, that's what I said! On... Xarkun's video? Who did the double concealment Vermont? But yeah, fire spammers can't spam you if they can't see you. And now that cruisers and BBs can't hide from you while spotting you around corners and over mountains with a fighter for the HE slingers. It's a boon for BB players.
Good video....This has convinced me to spend the 5,000 doubloons to activate the project...after I get the Z-52 in about 8 days from now. The only thing that I would've done differently, and this is no criticism of Spartan's in-match abilities, would have been to turn the Vermont toward the Schroeder...this would have put me in a kite position to that Yamato, which is more than fine, because it would have still angled me against that Zao as well...this in turn would have placed more distance from that Zao making the Vermont a less attractive target because of the island roughly SW of the Yamato's position, which would provide a bit of cover for the Vermont...This allows the rest of the team to mop up that Zao and Yamato and by kiting...I would've tried a salvo or two of HE on that Yamato to set up a perma-fire, in a supporting role, since he was angled. Fires often cause a bit of a helpful distraction. Sometimes a battleship can change its role from the primary aggressor to that of a support ship, similar to a light cruiser role, when a game is winding down, thus reducing the chances of being destroyed, but that's just me.
Vermont is a monster and one of the most dangerous BB in game, at least on PC. Show broadside to a Vermont and you get devstruck. Doesn't matter what kind of vessel you are in.
Right fight fire with fire never comes on but as soon as I swap it out with running with scissors someone will shoot one salvo Instantly two fires wait a little bit put it out then I get hit again instantly 3 fires
If im being sincere I just dont like the fact that despite having 36s reload time and having 12 guns I still have never citadeled yami at 17+ km or that everytime I fire at a broadside of a BB at 18km I get just that single pen. The only ships that i actually slapsat longer ranges are kurfust and conqueror.
@@xavytex Yeah I use auto aim a lot but its just the rng of this game: id rather prefer having a 40sec reload time but always getting the same beautiful salvos from the pc ship. On PC U get at least 20k salvos at longer ranges even when the target is angled😥
Hey spartan do you know why they deleted the spotter plane buzzie take off sound? I loved it. It gave a little sense of satisfaction every time you select it.
Speaking of spotting mechanics. I have no objection to the new spotting mechanic for carriers however I will point out it comes at a cost. It made carriers less about utility and even more about damage farming which I don't see very many people talking about probably because the hype over carriers has settled back down and the number of people playing them is returning to normal. They can be, after all, kinda boring to play and even more low-skill. Their greater ability to damage farm might have actually given cv's more influence over the outcome of the battle then they had before. So basically we went from cv's passively bullying everyone to bullying even more but only one person at a time. I guess that's an improvement.
Hey Spartan! Have u ever thought about doing a techtree showcase when your live? Once a week where u show each ship of a tree from lowest to highest tier would be really enjoyable Like quickybaby also does with wot Greetzz!
Great match spartan and I usually have great teams I’ll create a distraction and let my destroyers and cruiser come in and torp the crap out of the enemy battleships and cruisers while I have all they’re fire on me I’ll usually get maybe one or two of them taken out and drain they’re heath before I die and my team finish them off and wins the game for us
The cruisers guys who just know to play with smoke or hidden behind islands shooting people while remain unseen will be forced to learn to fight in a war game 😂😂😂.
I Dev struck a Vermont yesterday in a tier 8 ven der grobe and Dev struck a Venezia back to back even got a message from both players telling me nice shot
I absolutely love the new spotting mechanic. It helps so much especially in cruisers. Which is my main class.
As a DD main I'm very happy with this.
Am great full to as a Cruiser player

Another realistic thing is that planes were used to spot torps from destroyers
Vermont do feel pretty good when you land a full salvo broadside 🦍
For sure! Also we gotta get in a div sometime man been too long
Great video as always Spartan.

I love playing the whichita. So not being spotted as easy is very nice

PC needs this. NEEDS IT
Very fun to watch!
Glad you enjoyed

Try auto-aim. Works well on slow bbs. Also try aiming higher (plunging fire over the belt).

I think its a bug will hopefully be fixed next patch

I've done themed streams before yes

It may be long but on PC it’s 40 seconds so at least thank the devs that they made it 36 sec instead!
The cruisers guys who just know to play with smoke or hidden behind islands shooting people while remain unseen will be forced to learn to fight in a war game 😂😂😂.
Thanks spartan
Great video.
Glad you enjoyed it
When he dev struck the mino, before he shot that shot I thought it wasn't going to Dev strike that mino but I'm just wrong😂😂😂
Haha Mino seems to be the one ship that is the exception to in True Spartan Fashion
@@SpartanElite43 🤣🤣🤣
Need a USS Farragut game. Need to save 30m to buy Bureau project. GG
So if Im in a DD, spotted by a CV, no one else see me? Seems im spotted by other ships?
Nope just minimap
@@SpartanElite43 Thanks man, yeah boy!!!!

How fast can you get the Yamato spartan because i want to get it
In as little as 2 months if you have captains and ships and pay to speed it up..
Or it can take a lot longer if you dont
spartan thinking back on it which is better ohio or vermont
Ohio and Montana are both better than Vermont in my opinion
I love this ship
Haha I saw your video this morning what're the odds!
A Carrier hunter? Mabye as a class set up
Clevebro!!!
i had a 2v2 in standard yesterday 🤣
I think the spotting mechanic Is a shoot your self in the foot kind of deal a bit
Spartan can i play tier 5 with you sometime please i’m really goid
good
