@@juanpablolosada8158 Glad I could help. Game is awesome… but definitely some adjustments need to be made. I will try to play each weekend and post updates in case things get better sooner.
In poe there is always an easy way to make the base campaign way easier, and that is buying amazing gear via their trading page. You might get 1 exalter orb per 2 hours of gameplay on average, and that can be exchanged for a gear, that i feel like would take me 100 hour of gameplay to find on my own, which is a game changer.
This was absolutely not the case for me. In my first 30 hours of gameplay I got 1 exalt and 1 orb of alchemy. I am no stranger to the trade site because i have very limited crafting skills. But I had no currency to trade with, thus my review.
@@OldManGaming-101 Oh, that is odd. At times i got 2 Exalted dropped from a single boss. I guess some bad luck there as they increased the drop of those quite significantly.
@@wallhack7244 I get what you're saying, but honestly, my friends had similar luck to mine and have already stopped playing because of it. As for me, I'll probably check in on the weekends to see if things improve enough for me to jump back in. Mobility needs to be fixed for me as well. I only have an hour or two of gaming a night due to work...and the zones are massive. I am glad that you are having good luck though....that is a sign that things are moving in the right direction. I trust GGG to work it out...they always do.
@@OldManGaming-101 Checked your channel, you probably have more experience with the trading than me xD. I agree with you points in the video. I find that the gold issue is a bit less prevalent with the last patch that improved the items drops from bosses, but indeed as expected from an early access the game has many issues. Personally, I find myself somewhat stuck with my current build as after playing with it for a while i'm getting bored by it and making any significant passive tree changes for experimentation seems quite risky due to a significant cost of mistakes i might make without any reliable build/guidance. I started with a Contagion/Minion build, which seemed very OP at the start, just running around killing everyone in the forest. But about where you were in the video, it became annoyingly slow and ineffective for me. Later I switched into a Bonestorm to get the first kill + Detonate dead which seems super effecting against large groups of mobs, but gets super boring when enemies advance on you quite slowly one by one.
The game seriously reminds me of diablo 2, the look, the sound, the music. Obviously its on its own ground but i couldn't help but notice as a D2 veteran.
As soon as I heard about combat system and "dodge roll" I knew this wasn't going to be for me. I am also a casual player but even after 7000 hours in POE1 I am still not a good player. I just find it hard to follow everything that happens on such a busy screen. With the introduction of more harder mechanics that I hear of in POE2, it just isn't worth being frustrated. If you like POE2 and where it is heading then that is great. GGG are awesome but sometimes things are just too complicated and time consuming.
From what I understand, they have began to address some of the issues. I wish they would let their death grip on dodge roll go....but other stuff has been improved from what i am hearing. The weekend is here now...so I am going to give it a go!
@OldManGaming-101 yeah there's a lot more valuable loot drops but it's still pretty random. It works for while you're experimenting but frustrating if you know what you want for your build
I wouldn't count on GGG making this game easier. The whole point was to make the game hard, so that people who put a lot of effort could value it more. I bet it will always require a lot of effort to progress. And your (casual player) frustration is part of the plan.
They are a company in business to make money. They will want as many players as they can get. Besides, I didn't ask for easier. I asked for mobility and currency/gold drop rates. They have already began making adjustments on both counts...so I AM counting on GGG to do the right thing. The unfortunate thing is that for us old gamers (late 50's here) our reaction times can't quite cope with the bosses well anymore. I've been frustrated and stuck at lvl 18 now with this wolf boss that I get close to beating but can't. My reactions were so much better in my 20's and 30's, but now it is just too hard. I've actually completed tough games like Dark Souls II, but I find this MUCH harder.
@@Steve-xh3by We are about same age! I was super frustrated with my witch and re-rolled a mercenary and it is going a lot better. It is all about damage and that stupid dodge roll. I am not a fan of the dodge roll at all. The wolf boss is a pain in the ass if you are not doing enough damage. At least they fixed the drop rates...so maybe that will help you gear up.
@@OldManGaming-101 Yep, I tried building a minion witch with firewall for damage and the fire minions. I just cannot do enough damage fast enough. I run out of health trying to dodge all the shards. My reactions just aren't fast enough to avoid everything for so long and as soon as I get hit, I'm toast. I haven't found enough good gear from vendors to have adequate defenses.
@@Steve-xh3by I originally wanted a minion build too...then switched to Essence Drain/Contagion and then just switched to a new class. Defenses are pretty crappy in this game at the moment because of the boss tuning. I know it might not sound like a bunch of fun to start again....but you might try a more "sturdy" class. Also, offence is the best defense i am finding. I only got my witch to level 37...but at level 19, my Mercenary did twice the damage and had more health than my witch did at 37.
Thanks for this... as a Dad gamer Ill wait for the full release....
