Whoever mixed this performance desperately needs a raise
They kicked out the old crew that did their live shows and instead hired the guys who mixed the album

they put a statement up about revamping livemet and to celebrate they got a dedicated mix team on to bring the hwtsd sound onto the livemet recordings
The transition between the opening track and them actually playing is amazing.

He lost the gruffness of his voice and such.
James has indeed "lost" his voice. But only due to age. If he tried to do what his voice did back during the Kill em all days james would have a voice similar to rob halford. (minus the vocal range)
It would be worn out and fall apart. This is one of the reasons also why james takes breaks in the middle of the tours (besides being with his family of course)
Hardwired it's like one of those old school songs that actually makes me get into the pit immediately. Enjoyed so much this song in Santiago, Chile last month. Thanks 'tallica!!

Indoor sound kits tend to not be poorly placed unlike outdoor concert sound kits tend to be.
They actually have to try to balance the sound indoors or else the entire concert turns into white noise.

I saw them at the atlanta braves new stadium and I was worried that the sound wasn't gonna be great since it's completely uncovered, but boy was I wrong. it sounded great, everything cut through pefectly, the drums were boomin and james' vocals were top notch. and it was supprisingly loud as fuck!
James' voice is different here, like using a different technique it's awesome

The best show I’ve ever been too, i almost cried like a bitch when I saw my favorite band in person, I was In the pit for this one, I actually didn’t have my ear protection in for the first couple seconds of this song, surprised I didn’t loose my hearing, so freaking loud.

I was at this show, me and my cousin walked to Nassau Coliseum the day of the show to see if there were any extra tickets at the box office. They said if we paid $300 each they would give us floor tickets since it was sold out. It was absolutely worth it, probably the loudest show i've been to. My ears were ringing for days.
They must've gotten a new sound guy after that Grammy's performance

This was my first Metallica concert and first overall concert ever and my god it was life changing. It was absolutely amazing, the acoustics at Nassau Coliseum were incredible for Metallica. My ears were ringing when it was all over. The crowd was roaring during Master of Puppets and Seek and Destroy, wish they would have showed that. I hope they come back to the east coast soon

I was at this show (7th time seeing them.) Could have gone to Metlife but I wanted to see them with the stage in the middle of the arena. The sound is a bit better outdoors, but being that close to the band is something I have never experienced. Amazing act.
