- I don't know about you but I am pumped for the new Metallica album. So far I like what I hear! The drive on this track in particular has a strong groove... looking into the credit for the song Rob Trujillo is listed, that may have something to do with that (and a more audible bass as well on this one).

Yeah I’m sure it does buried underneath all of James’ rhythm parts. This song is a little better than Lux where I couldn’t hear him at all. I guess it makes it easier for Kello to record his covers. 😅😅

As I was saying...I like that whole album. Especially Unforgiven II, Where The Wild Things Are and Low Mans Lyric. So, comes to be 1999 with the original S & M coming out. Oh my God did I LOVE that live album!! I'd NEVER BEFORE heard their instrumental The Call Of Ktulu. Never! Hearing it for my very 1st time ever with the Symphony gave me goosebumps! I was spoiled for that version of it from then on. Another favorite from that album was (still is) No Leaf Clover. I'd never really heard MOP before. Totally another favorite, there again I was spoiled for the Symphony version. I totally respect, get that w/out the original album versions of these songs there of course wouldn't even BE the symphonic versions. Oh. Having afterwards having checked out the originals I did absolutely enjoy them. Unfortunately, I don't often listen to the originals of those that song and instrumental because I actually find them to be too "dry sounding" if you will, if you've any idea what I mean. And I've enjoyed the hell out of Death Magnetic, Hardwired...To Self-Destruct. Yes, I truly enjoyed St. Anger also when it was released. I greatly thank you for reading all this, and for a pretty cool answer to my question. Suicide and Redemption at times these days I enjoy even more than The Call Of Ktulu. Love for Orion too.

I’m using a Line 6 Helix. I used compressor, Sansamp BDDI and Darkglass B7k going to a Aguilar DB751 with 8x10 mic’d with an MD421, all in my Helix chain 🤘🏻
