    I used to love the pitch bend hold feature on the old Ensoniq keyboards of the 1990's. It was so useful!

    I really love the sound of this library... trying to be good and not buy it as I already have guitar libs, but I've a feeling by the end of this video it's a lost battle... (yes it was your video that made me buy Woodchester)

    A really fine piece Dan and I think you demonstrated the tonality and control functions of Hemisphere really comprehensively. Fracture have a signature feature in equipping their instruments with novel controller functionality ..as demonstrated with the gradient reverb setting ..that keeps both hands free to play 👍. I purchased this yesterday as at the time of writing it is on offer …. my fist take is that this instrument is not only great at accompaniment but also that it has the sonic quality as a dominant instrument . 🙏🙏🏿🎩🎵✨

    Guitarist here. Interesting sounds! Technically speaking, these soundscapes on an actual guitar are 80 percent effects magic. On the instrument itself, you can really get away with it by knowing selected transposable chord shapes. The missing transient effect you can easily get using volume swells on the actual guitar volume knob, or a volume pedal. Anyway, I get the appeal of the library, especially when it's that good :)
    Talking about guitar in soundtrack, have you checked Guthrie Govan's stuff with Hans Zimmer?

    Beautiful library, and the standout feature for me was the single note pitch bend. Absolutely stunning effect. But I'm not buying this. I have too many libraries for my needs as it is, and I don't need more. I don't. Really. That's it - I'm not doing it. Oh...aaargh...!

    hello dan. Your channel is great. I wanted to ask, which instruments (like violin,piano, etc..) do you recommend for me to study for film scoring?

  • @chromatic-me

    My ancient Roland Fantom G keyboard has a pitchbend mode which only bends the last note played - so with some careful playing you could achieve the same effect as in this library. But I guess it only works on internal sounds and not when used as a controller keyboard, as the MIDI message sent would presumably affect all notes and not just the last one played.

    • @DanKeenMusic
      @DanKeenMusic  Рік тому

      You can bend multiple notes in this library, and it doesn't have to be the last one played

    I wish they had a DEMO available. I'd like to try it with one of my electric guitars that is equipped with a Fernandes Sustainer AND a Fishman Triple Play Midi Pickup. Experimenting in Drop Keys would be interesting as well. IMO they need to have ALOT MORE Presets too.

    • @DanKeenMusic
      @DanKeenMusic  Рік тому

      It's called the VS FaderBox. I can't fault it, but the manufacturer has been inundated with sales since I posted my review a couple of years ago. Get one if you can but they're in limited supply!

    Hi Dan! thanks for an amazing demo. definitely adding this to my arsenal.
    Off topic: it looks like a nice 88 key midi-keyboard you got there. What brand is it?
    I want an 88 key one, NI is like 1100 euros and M-Audio has gotten crap reviews in terms of sustainability.
    Any suggestions?
    Comment section, feel free to give advice too if you have.

      Yes, Michael Moore is correct. Definitely a Native Instruments S88 Mk2. I have one also.... best I have ever seen, in terms of overall playability and capability.

    most of the sounds are pads,they have nothing to do with a guitar sound
