I don't think I can over emphasize how great these lessons/labs are. It took me 4 tries to pass the CCNA and the labs and lessons here are the thing that got that pass. Just passed on first try thanks Jeremy I have been watching your video since the start, doing your quizzes and everything. Just wanna say thank you! This is my first certification but it won’t be the last. Although I am doing Cisco Ccna only to prepare myself for my future cybersecurity career but I have to say I am really starting to love networking. It’s a pleasure knowing you and I wish all u others watching to study hard and trust yourself, Ccna is not a tough exam nor is it designed to trick you. If u want it bad, u’ll get it.
Hello sir, I just gave my PCN-CCNA exam and I scored 947. Thank you so much for your lessons, I learned a lot from your videos. Thank you!! You are the best!!
13:28 , i was wondering of that error when i followed the packet tracer labs and the lecture video, the sequence of the configuration should include enable secret from vty line config for it to work, glad i saw it here 13:28, otherwise i'm able to do this before doing the labs. This is once again hands down a very good lab. Thank you jeremy sir! your are God sent.
I just want to tell that for all videos, the audio voice is very good in technical and in every meaning. I am sure you used professional equipment, but you also have radio phonic voice and your English accent is very good. thank you jeremy, just passed ccna !! got 906 used ocg and your videos helped very well i can see that your course is the best ccna course on the internet,im planning for ccnp right now do you recommend any tips and study resources ?
Awesome, congrats! Glad my videos helped :) My advice for the CCNP and above is that you have to start being more 'independent', you can't expect a course or book to give you everything you need. You'll need to start reading through Cisco documentation and such. For example, if you're studying OSPF you can do a Google search and find something like this: www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/ios-xml/ios/iproute_ospf/configuration/xe-16/iro-xe-16-book/iro-cfg.html
Hello Jeremy you are saving lives here with your videos, You are the best CCNA instructor, I can't thank you enough. Please can you tell us what CCNA exam topics are covered so far and what topics remain I really need to know your answer will help a lot. Thank's again
Great lab. I was confused with the “ip ssh time-out” at first. It is a different format to the vty exec-timeout and I initially thought you set 90 min. Looking forward to the security section. 👍
hi Jeremy thanks for your hard work i have a question , when I use "ssh -1 jeremy 192.168.2.253" command it says that it's invalid input, why is it like this ?
I forgot ' no shut ' command when I assigned IP to SVI when configuring SW2 with laptop. PINGs were failing from PC1 to SW2, and then I used show ip int br command on SW2 through console. I noticed administratively down status of Vlan1 and then used no shut and pings worked and also ssh connection through PC1 to remotely access SW1
Why the access-list 1 permit host 192.168.1.1 lets the R2 pinging the SW2 ? Knowing that there is normally the implicit deny which normally refuses the ping from R2 ?
hi jeremy, need help here. i dont seem to be able to ping int svi on switch 2 from pc1. the default gateway on pc1 is config, both routers are config with ip addresses and the routes on both r1 and r2 are config...
Thank you so much!! one question!! I haven't able to open labs # 30-50. Do you possibly know why? All those early labs do work but those last 20 labs won't open at all
Yeah for some reason UA-cam removed the feature to automatically add videos to playlists when they go public, so I add the videos the next day after work since the videos go live when I'm sleeping!
Hai Jermy, your videos are awesome,it's really helping us to learn the concepts more easily. Can you please do a video for NAT TRAVERSAL which is one of the field in the IPsec VPN
How does this work with the IP NAT/PAT for example when a totally different address will knock on the Switch2 door... Do we have to configure the inside global address instead of the inside local address (How does it really work in the real world when we want to access a device across the internet)... thanks in advance... Jeremy like always thank you very much, you're the best (you have a real gift for teaching people and breaking down a complex subjects) !!! Update... I've tried my self and it works this time even though (whatever you plug in it would work this time if it's allowed by the ACL) and I'm not really sure if this is the way of doing it in the real world...
Hello, I have a quick question about using different SVI interfaces on Cisco Catalyst 2960 switch as similar to the switch used in this lab. Although VLAN 1 is used as the interface in the above lab, I'd like to use a separate VLAN to facilitate SSH access in an example lab I'm building in Packet Tracer. I'm having trouble with achieving the up/up interface status for any other VLAN, while also allowing SSH access. Any thoughts? Thanks!
Hi, Sir, I bought Exsim and Netsim.. I would like to know should i have to save all lab when i complete because i did not, is there any evaluation base on my NetSim? I mentioned Jeremy's IT lab in the tab where i have been asked for reference. Thank you Sir
Hi Asif, thank you for mentioning my name! You don't have to save the labs, unless you don't have time to complete a lab, then you can save it and return to it later.
Hello Sir, As we need to configure default gateway for the switch but what if switch is connected with 2 routers? Do we need 2 default gateways? If yes then how? Or that won't be a case ever?
Hi Jeremy, My apologies if you've previously covered this. Does packet tracer not recognize, 'ssh username@ip-address ' as a valid command? Seems only, 'ssh -l username ip-address' works. Also, thank you for your hard work here. I have absorbed more from your videos than any book!
Is there any particular reason 'host' is being used after 'permit' when creating a standard ACL in this instance? In the standard ACL video, the ip was all that was after permit|deny.
Yeah for a router to forward a packet to a destination, it needs an appropriate route in its routing table. If you download my lab files, I have the routing pre-configured, but if you make it yourself, you'll have to do those configurations yourself (just like you have to configure the IP addresses etc).
When I try to send ssh message from router or PC I get the following error: R2>ssh -1 jeremy 192.168.2.253 ^ % Invalid input detected at '^' marker. What's the issue?
I got the same issue but I was able to resolve it. on SW2 check the vlan 1 interface by sh ip int br, you will notice that vlan 1 interface is admin down, just enable it and once you enable it go back to R2 and try to ping SW2 again. Hope this helps! Note: Jeremy mentioned it on this video and I followed it, in some reasons as checked vlan 1 interface is still down so I have to enable it again.

Is there any particular reason 'host' is being used after 'permit' when creating a standard ACL in this instance? In the standard ACL video, the ip was all that was after permit|deny.
You can use host or a 0.0.0.0 wildcard mask, whichever you want. I demonstrated both in the standard ACL video.
I did exactly the same steps but the result not same as yours, then I realized that i need to use RIP protocol and its worked

It seems the command "ssh -l [username] [ip address]"was not mentioned in the previous video. What is the "-l" for? Thanks
It's used to identify the username you'll use to connect. Not a Cisco-specific command though, it's used in Windows, Linux, etc.
What is the next topic ??? NAT or something else...
great THX!

Yep found it has to be a lowercase l and not 1 :(
i tried ssh username@ip and did not work, why?
cant access Packet tracer file.says not compatible.
please look into it.
Download the latest version of packet tracer from Cisco, then you'll be able to open all the files.

why. check the running config and see where your configuration mismatches. it worked for me.
I got the same issue but I was able to resolve it. on SW2 check the vlan 1 interface by sh ip int br, you will notice that vlan 1 interface is admin down, just enable it and once you enable it go back to R2 and try to ping SW2 again. Hope this helps!
