Religion and what the religious books get more respect than connecting with each other as human beings before anything else we are human beings.
You see it when humans fall in love with each other and they are Jewish and Muslim, Muslim and Christian, Jewish and Hindu, Hindu and Muslim, Christian and Jewish, Black and white, white and brown etc
You see even with great difficulties some humans can transcend their religion,culture race etc for love.

I agree, that's why I left religions behind and kept with the real teachings. Religion has become in a competition about who has the "real" religion and that's bs and that's why people is capable killing in the name of their religions. Same happens with nationality.

Question: where does the dietary laws fit into this understanding? What about obedience to the Most High, my main architect and Creator?

This. This is exactly why I was never comfortable with religion since I was a preteen, raised Catholic. I just felt like something doesn't add up. God wouldn't see me as a slave. I turned atheist then later on into New Age then I found out about Kabbalah this year. But never felt right about the "obey" part

You're already feeding your enemy's desire by think / acting this way... But your biggest enemy is yourself as you can CHOOSE what to desire! Others / Enemys are your inner self expression...

To desire misery for others is hating them and wishing harm on them (Called Evil Eye). Hate is Evil. If you desire evil things you are evil. Yes, it will hurt you. You need to correct that with the tools of rabbi Abe and be good, not bad.

Abe as I see it we live in a swimming pool. If you piss in the pool it doesn't become a septic tank. However if everyone pisses in the pool over and over eventually it does. You create the world you live in by your own actions. If you want to swim in a clean pool don't piss in it.
So kabbalah is like Kundalini or the dao of the west. It is a tool used for waking up. Not surrendering to Elohim. But realizing we are part of the elohim. The whole thing are us
