Soooo pretty . . . perfect for work mornings when I don't have a lot of time. I just purchased that blusher and I love it - normally I'm not very good with picking blush colours but I think this would work with a lot of different skin complexions
The face look is absolutely gorgeous. I love the face makeup EXCEPT for the red lips. It gives you a very high powered, professional look, but it also ages you. Dark makeup in general makes women (and men) look older. The rest of your face looks polished and naturally flawless, you don't need dark red lipstick.
Why is everyone talking about her undereye circles? Elle has explained many times that she doesn't get much sleep and everyone seems to be complaining that she doesn't put up any tutorials. This is a tutorial!

It's like a reverse of Sephora's Spring Hot Now (rebellious eyes and undressed lips) that's great for any season :)

To be honest, Elle and Blair are gorgeous with make-up on. Then they take it off and, as my boyfriend would say, "I would not want to wake up next to that in the morning." This is not meant to be offensive, but it really shows how much make-up can change a person's physical appearance and how so many of us aspire to achieve such a pretense perfection.
I actually like the red lips more. I think that wearing a light pink or a nude would wash your face out too much since you don't have a lot of color going on in the eyes. This look is really easy to wear so I really like it, and even if you don't like the super bold red lips, a coral would look really pretty too! wow elle, i never thought about it like you put it - a simple eye with a bold lip DOES look just classic as a smokey eye but the former DEFINITELY takes way less time!! i got a tarte lipstain in my birchbox recently and omg, with lip stains, i am TOTALLY going to rock bolder lip looks now, esp since i don't have to keep reapplying every few hours!! :)

the red lip would probably look a bit better with fuller lips, but tbh it works well like this, too, and i'm so glad someone has the guts to use strong colors on their lips. the nudes and pink glosses get so boring after you see them on every single person. plus i adore the eye shadow colour!

I love how descriptive you are with each step, and how you give a real explanation as to why you're doing something a certain way. Also, if you love that NARS shade, have you ever tried Madly? Hey Elle, have you ever tried blow drying your eye lash curler, and letting it cool down a little then curl your eye lashes, then put the mascara on?? I works SO well I do it everyday, best thing every happened to makeup tips :P It holds the curl ALL day, and gives the eye lashes a longer fuller look!! Tell me if you try it!
There are definitely dupes you could use for makeup tutorials that use high-end makeup. There are a lot of other drugstore makeup tutorials on UA-cam. Most of the beauty gurus here on UA-cam, prefer to use high-end makeup. It's just their personal preference, but there are a lot of dupes out there to create their exact same looks. There really is no need to make a tutorial with just drugstore products, if you can just find dupes, and recreate/ or create a look yourself! :)
I'm sure you can get Chanel makeup from their website or going on amazon . com! Really, any big department store near you that sells high end or luxury makeup brands will most likely have Chanel!
at 1:55 she says "it's really early in the morning right now"..so why are people getting on her case for her looking tired? i don't know ANYBODY that looks awake really early in the morning. it takes A LOT of coffee to get my day started. (and she doesn't even looked tired or bad at all). People are just jealous. It's really sad actually. Thanks for making these videos Elle. I really enjoy watching them.

Lovely look! I wear this exact color combo quite often, myself, and I have silver and black hair and hazel eyes, with pale ivory skin. Douceur is a perfect color. I find that an inner-eye highlight with a touch of silvery blue truly takes the red out of my eyes. ;{}
