disclaimer: this video has not been sponsored. All products were purchased by me, except the concealer which was gifted. All opinions are my own.
You missed mascara? I think that's basic it's the first makeup product I wore
OMG, this video is terrible...WHY SUGGEST MAC eyeshadows when NYXX is just as good (if not better) and WAY cheaper......?? SMH WHy not suggest foundation as the thing to invest heir money with? Everything else can be cheap...
Because she prefers the MAC, obviously. To her, the NYXX isn't as good, what is 'good' and not 'good', is a matter of opinion. Subjective, not objective.
Gosh! If you are cheap what's her fault? Shove your opinion up your ass please! And NYX was never as good as MAC!
LOL!!!!! You guys are so funny! Do you like...know her or something? STANS!
vitaminC7657 Sure don't. And this is the first video of hers I've seen. I was simply pointing out that what is 'good' is preference, opinion.
There is a reason that people buy MAC at the price. Yes I agree, some brands are not worth the price but MAC is worth it if you have the money. I feel that you get what you pay for when it comes to Lancome and MAC.
Also Nyxx is mostly liked by teenagers that are purchasing the make up their self so they don't want to spend a lot of their funds or in my experience, vegans because it is cruelty free.
haha love the bit at the end " no the doors locked cuz theres a babby elephant in here not because im filming ! " ahaha and the eyebrow bit !
I was glad to see that you included a paint pot. I've had mine for a little more than a year, and still haven't hit the bottom of the pot and it's kept is consistency really well. They definitely worth the price for the amount of wear you get out of them.
i absolutely LOOVEEE all that glitters, so pretty :)
I just started wearing makeup and i have NO clue what I should do! Thank you so much! Love your videos!
you are great. love it. im a stylist thinking about expanding my wedding hair packages with makeup and you answered all my questions for getting started
I'm 12. And I wear makeup! Just like you I started asking my mom for makeup on Christmas and my birthday! Now 3 years later, i have an 'OK' sized collection! My products consisting of MAC, to LANCOME! :) You are so amazing at doing makeup! Don't ever stop!! :)
Omg i just got my first mac eyeshadow and i got it in allthatglitters inspired by you THANK YOU!
this is such a nice video, it really shows that you really care for all ages of your viewers. i love you videos!
I can't stop staring at your makeup!! It is gorge!!! I know someone else did it, but can you do a tutorial on it?
Doesn't matter what brands, but i can't live without - foundation, mascara, brow pencil, eye pencil, lip gloss and bronzer :)
thanks!! really detailed which is just what I needed!! I might just need NYX Blush in Angel or Maybelline Blush in Sweet Cinnamon, Maybelline Falsies Mascara, Cover Girl Professional Loose Powder as a setting powder, and Bobbi Brown Concealer
I think in this video you show your real personality! Love it!
Like stirling grey or stirling blue. Very beautiful!!
I love this makeup on you! It really makes your eyes pop! :)
Omg I love you Elle every time I watch your videos I feel so pretty like you!
My basic kit, right up to my twenties, was concealer, mineral powder, blush, mascara and brow powder (blonde eyelashes and brows with brown hair made this essential). If I was really going crazy I would add some lip gloss and a sweep of eyeshadow.
I had this routine down to less than 5 minutes and it is still my go-to running out the door look. Foundation is such a waste if you have good skin, it's often the most expensive item, just cover the flaws with concealer and you don't need it.
if i had to pick 6 main products it would be: Mascara, lipgloss, eyeshadow, eyeliner, blush, bronzer, and concealer... my special product would be lipstick or a brow pencil! love ya elle
YOUR EYES!! they look sooo pretty here!
wow SUCH helpful video! being a middle school girl starting to wear makeup, this was SUPER hellpful
I looove paint pots :) I have a somewhat decent size makeup collection(not to sound braggy) but didn't start getting paint pots til just recently and I LOVE THEM! Spend the extra doe and go for the products that WORK(yes, I know drugstore products work as well) but all I'm saying is if you are having doubts about spending the extra cash, give them a go I love them :) they completely set the base/tone of a look and really completes it, plus they last SO long :)
I think you're hilarious to watch.
You're so cute and bubbly and it's refreshing. I find that a lot of gurus tend to ramble, repeat what they say and talk in a monotone.
I have makeup, but I'm starting to actually get into it now, and I'd like to get nice brushes and good quality makeup.
I found this really helpful!
Thanks! :D
Thank you! I just started wearing makeup this year and I am in 7th. This really helped a lot cause there are a lot of things that I now see I need or even stuff that I have that don't need. Thanks Alot!!!
yay ! my mom is letting me use make up next school year ! thanks Elle !
This would be my list for a begginer
1.Neutregina clean makeup (foundation)
2.Neutregina clean makeup (powder)
3.A small eyeshadow compact (maybe mayballine)
4.Covergirl lash blast
5.Brown eyeliner
6.A little blush container
7.A small lip gloss
this is really a helpful video! most videos i see like this either list products tht u wouldnt need, are too general, or act like u already have makeup! so thnx sooo much;)
I'm a junior in high school(I'm 16) and I've never worn make up. I don't plan to until I get a real job so this is helpful for when I do start!
the makeup looks sooooo good
Your eye color is really beautiful in this video.(: it really stands out because of the shadow.
I have to say...this video made my day. She's so funny!
The ending made me laugh. "the door's locked because there's a baby elephant in here!"
"r u going into high school? r u going into middle school? are you going into SECOND GRADE?"
ahaha, funny!
was actually giggling my head off at "are you going into second grad?!?" lol
ur eye makeup looks so gorgeous!!!
the first makeup products i ever wore was Maybeline mascara and cover girl powder. I thought it was great😂
I use powder to set my foundation to keep it from running.Sometimes when I start sweating, the makeup starts sliding off my face.Plus, sweating makes my face oily.At times I have oily skin;my skin changes between dry and oily each month.Sometimes I have to use only powder, sometimes I use foundation&powder, sometimes I use powder foundation, and sometimes I have to use the powder foundation & powder on top.It depends on your needs & preference.I have just used a blush & lipgloss & called it good.
I want those three MAC shadows. SO PRETTY TOGETHER.
that sounds very creative. i think i might actually do that since i don't have anywhere to put my eyeshadows half the time
this is prob one of my favorite videos from you cuz its so informative and i love how most are drugstores there are some high end products but thats ok cuz i have one mac paint pot (in soft ochre) and wat she said was so true cuz it really helps with your eyeshadow stay reallyyy long also youre so much more high-spirited here and rly funny too (:
Your makeup looks beautiful in this video!
I love your makeup!!!! Can you please do a tutorial on it!!!! It looks amazing!!!! I love your videos!!!!
this was probable the most funny video i have seen of you. first when you were saying back in that chipmunk voice, and then when you coughed and made that face, lol!
I have just stared watching your videos and LOVE them this video was very helpful because I m going to start to we're makeup soon what are u tips for a mascara ?? Thanks
Foundation-
If you have oily skin I would suggest a powder foundation ( I love Maybelline fit me powder) If you have dry skin I would recommend Revlon colorstay or L'Oreal true match liquid foundation
Mascara- Maybelline the falsies waterproof is great!
eyeliner- any liner from Maybelline
blush- covergirl contouring blush in refined rose
brushes- any brush from ecotools
eyeshadow- Maybelline quad in bronze lights
lips- any Revlon lip butter and Revlon colorburst lip gloss crystalwater
Could u do a drugstore makeup recommendations for dry/sensitive skin coz I have really sensitive skin and was wondering if u knew which products work best for that :)
"are you going into highschool? are you going into middle school? are you going into 2nd grade" omg your funny!!
I love the ecotools brushes... They are really soft and quite cheap
My personal fave so far is Bare Study :) I use it all over before doing the rest of the eye look and then have its focus at the end being a brow highlight and just add a touch of Phloof at the brow bone :) makes it so you don't use as much shadow and really pulls the look together! Oh and another beginner product would be Phloof! Quite possibly one of my absolute FAVORITE MAC shadows of all time!! So many uses for it (lid, brow highlight, face highlight, pop of highlight in inner corner, etc)
I love your makeup in this video. Can you tell me how you did your eye makeup?
i am starting a proper make-up kit now, my mum brought me a makeup box two years ago and it had quite a few things but now im starting my kit :)
Just a helpful tip--- if you get the MAC eyeshadows that are only in the pan, e.l.f has a "make your own palette" for a dollar! I'm not sure if they would fit, but that's just a helpful tip! Also, if you have NO brushes, start off with some e.l.f ones! I have a Lancome face brush, and it SHEDS LIKE CRAZY!! For the record, my e.l.f brushes! If you go to Sephora and look in the sale bins, they have some really good stuff! sorry for the paragraph, -Sophie xoxo
Can you do a video tutorial for how you did your hair? Love it!
xoxo
do you have a tutorial for the look ur wearing? because that would be awsome i love it!
Very useful and you have a great sense of humor!
Its personal preference, powder foundation should help stop the shine on oily skin, Elle's sister Blair wears liquid and powder because she likes really high coverage, but if the coverage of just powder is good enough for you then it is fine, and will help stop shine too :)
YOUR EYES ARE GORGEOUS I LOVE YOUR EYE COLOR AND SHAPE THEY R BEAUTIFUL ELLE!!! LOVE U
Hahah. Best part was when she coughed and looked all shocked! xD It was cute.
When I first started wearing make up which was in high school, I didn't have as much stuff as I do now. I still don't think i need that much anyway. I started out with POWDER and not foundation because I would use some lotion and then top it off with powder and it worked fine. Then I would recommend some EYESHADOW, and you can use some creamy-brownish colors to start with. Then you can use some MASCARA if our parents let you and you don't have very long eyelashes. You also need a nice BLUSH.
I think your makeup looks really pretty
Natural Collection make up is great quality and great prices! I mean like its all about two pounds maybe 3? Its really good quality! I'm not a huge fan of their foundations, i tend to use them as concealer instead as they're the same price, do the same thing and you get more of it! I LOVE their mascaras and will never ever change to a different one! Their eyeliners are great to although the brush for the liquid one can get a bit tricky! All in all i highly recommend them!
i fell out my chair rolling after she said lets go kids back to school she was like back back back back back back
omg i love all that glitters
Great starter kit. Another option for beginners would be to use BB Cream instead of foundation. The BRTC Blemish Recover Balm BB is great for young people because it controls oil, and prevents and heals blemishes as well!
Love how ur goofy too and in this video ur blush looks good!
I agree! Elf is really great.
Honestly, I'm 16 and basically the only things I use everyday are mascara, bb cream, and some sort of lip color! And if your younger, you don't need to wear makeup! If you really want to, then just use mascara then concealer for if you have blemishes. But you girls are beautiful already and you younger ones don't need makeup at all! 10 year olds still have perfect skin and they should be showing it off instead of covering it up with a layer of makeup!
your eyes look soooooo pretty!
The beginning of this video is wonderful! (:
I love you you are getting more goofy in your videos!! You are amazing
I really liked how you what looks good on every skin tone
For blush, coral looks amazing on fair skin tones too! i know this from experience :)
You should make a video only using this makeup to help show them how to do a starter look. I think this is a great idea for starters. Your sweet!
No, only if you want your eyeshadow to last longer. Eye primer is used to make eye make up last longer and make it more pigmented.@TiaSanders
ur MEGA SMOKEY EYES look awesome!!!! thx 4 inspiring me to get the all that glitters eyeshdow. i might be getting it in a few days! i follow u on twitter!!
thank u this helped me. i have some make up but now if I'm just at target and i have some money to spend l i know what u recommend
this is probably my favorite video of yours(:
Start with skincare. I would recommend foundation, concealer, and maybe some natural blush. If you get comfortable with that, move on to lip and eye products. I would try the elf liquid eyeliner pen because it is very easy to use. Also, if you want to spend the money, defiantly buy the naked palette. It is pricy, but I use mine almost everyday. It comes with a brush, a sample of their eyeshadow primer potion, and 12 very usable shadows. Good luck :)
can you do a video on applying foundation and what you do in order and how .
When I first started to wear make up, I started with concealer, and mascara. That's still pretty much all I use, but now I use some translucent powder and some lipgloss
the makeup brand "elf" which stands for eyes lips face has really cheap makeup and is cruelty free. i absolutely love them and so much of my makeup is from them!
Plus, you can have Bad to the Bronze alone, it looks pretty that way! It lasts all day, doesn't crease! If you live in Europe, the color is On and On Bronze! Hope I have helped!
Haha, I love how silly you are in the beginning and the end of this video!
OMG! I'm in switzerland right now too, and as I cannot get NYX in where I'm from, I really bought that lipgloss because I wanted it so badly, but found it sooooo expensive!!
Can you do a kit for graduated college students going into the workplace? Got into makeup in high school/college and I'm wondering if there is anything else I should own.
What colour blush are you wearing in this video?? It's so pretty! I have the same colouring as you so I would love to know. Thanks!
I personally would have chosen some different products, like a tinted moisturizer or BB cream instead of a foundation, and cheaper brands for some of the products, since my mom would never pay for MAC. An eyeshadow palette from Physicians Formula or NYX would be great for a beginner. I'd also add in a mascara and some $1 ELF brushes.
honestly you are just so sweet and adorable! im sure this helped so many young girls :)
LOL "are you goin into highschool? Are you goin into middle school? ARE YOU GOING INTO 2ND GRADE!?"
I was surprised you didn't even mention mascara! In my opinion, that's one of the most important products
an option for the palette issue would be the elf 1 dollar quad empty palettes. ive heard they fit mac pan eyeshadows
I personally think the basics for a girl going into middle school is mascara and eyeliner.
I'm in middle school and all me and my friends wear is eyeliner and mascara, some lip gloss and a teensy bit of eyeshadow on special occasions.
I just got a makeup kit from norstrom. It's awesome! By the way, your beautiful!
Elle you should be a professional makeup artist because your so good:)
