The very first photo on top of the stack that you picked up, has an image of the, Somesville Selectman's Bridge, in Fall Foliage. It was easy for me to pick out because, I lived on Mount Desert Island for 32 years! Eleven of those years was in Somesville!
Hi Scott. I've been those papers for a long time. Especially the Pecos River and the Ultra Pro Satin. Red River makes great papers. Thanks for all the great videos.
Thank you for this video. I've been using MOAB papers for years but supply is dwindling and not very reliable right now so I'm going to try Red River and see how it goes. Your video helped me take the plunge!
Hi Scott, have you tried the UK Fotospeed fine art matt papers. There natural soft textured bright white is 315grm which hangs really well. Platinum Etching is not quite as heavy & a slightly warmer paper but beautiful for woodland photography.
Hi Nicky ... I haven't printed much on matte papers, and haven't tried Fotospeed. From your recommendation, the Natural Soft Textured would be more for me. I tend to prefer cooler toned papers. Thanks for the tip.
Hi, is the Polar Gloss Metallic the same as Polar Pearl Metallic? Someone gave me a box and I love the way my pictures come out when I print them, but I have not found it with that name to get some more.
Hi Maria ... yes, it's the same. Red River did a product name change a while back. The new name is "Polar Gloss Metallic 255". There is a note (pretty far down) on the Polar Gloss Metallic 255 product page on their website. Have fun printing!
A while back I tested that with some black & white prints. Tried both the Arctic Polar Satin and Luster. Both good paper. I preferred the ones I talked about in this video.

That's the one! You're fortunate to live in such a lovely area. Have fun!

Sweet, David. What I also appreciate is the extra support through their website (configs, setups, ICC profiles). Great stuff. Have fun printing!
Thanks again from 3 yrs late. Just received RR papers this week for my testing. Perfect timing.
Never too late to make some prints. Have fun!
I just ordered the sample packs to test. I've been using Canson and Hahnemuele. I'll see what Red River has. I may be interested in the satin paper.
and what do you think about the RR paper?
