Thank you so much! I have a cfm-165tw that the tape isn't working, do you think its the same size belts or how do I find out, can you just get cheap belt sets with multiple sizes etc.?

Great job on the restoration of this tape recorder,, and the installation of the LED lights rechargeable batteries.
My only issue would be the fact that I would have to remove the battery cover in order to charge it, but other than that, keep on doing what you're doing man, (and upload them too, of course!)

Good job. But I don't understand why they didn't use a bigger oval speaker instead of two small ones.
The text under the tape window said Dynamic Super Treble so they had some sort of marketing concept going on for their "Double Speaker System". Good question, though. Maybe though the way they were wired in parallel was more battery power efficient? That was a thought, not a guess. Really enjoyable short restoration video.

Well, an oval speaker would have roughly the same cone surface area so the efficiency wouldn't be much less than this set-up. And it would have a far better low frequency response than those tiny round speakers. If you compare the sound of 70s portable radios with oval speakers to this 90s kind of stuff with round ones you'll notice this. Treble could be improved by adding a whizzer cone.

I have a Sony CFM-145S and i blew up its fuse..
I downloaded its service manual and it says that it has a 0.25A 250V slow blow fuse.
I havent opened it yet. I dont know about the fuse dimentions, but can I use any 0.25A 250V slow blow fuse or do I have to buy a one which is same as the original?
