Great old tunes. The Carter Family had such immense talent, especially A.P. I listen to them for days, get burnt out a little bit, and then go back and listen around the clock again! The present generation of youngsters don’t know how to appreciate this great music, what a loss for them. My favorites will always be the Carter Family.
I'm a 25-year-old man with two young daughters in Minneapolis. My wife is Ethiopian, and my daughters are mixed. They hear the Carter Family so often that they sing along to "Single Girl, Married Girl." You'll be surprised how long the Carter's legacy will live on.
Seen Jake and Ira live a couple of times totally awesome they are truly gifted it’s not just the music it’s their stage presence their banter between songs is half the show I see big things for these young fellas truly talented and very entertaining to watch
@@ericadoss2959 this was way before I knew their Instrumental talent. I also didn't know a whole lot about The Carter Family either, now I know just about everything about both Jake, Ira, and The Carter Family!
The big guy can actually play the instrumental part as well as the little guy. They are role playing, a re-enactment, right down to the hair do's and the moving in and out from the mike. They have done it perfectly!. I just don't see how they keep their metal finger picks from hanging up on the strings on the downstrokes between picking. Kudos.

Amazing how close they are to Flatt and Scruggs- even singing Lester's flat notes! Wonderful!
Nice pickin' Ira. Thanks for keeping the tradition going, young fellas .
Hearing that guitar ring. Oh I miss my Daddy playing this song!

Ya need a Banjo picker I can do that
The version of this number you guys do is as solid as it comes. Keep it up!
A banjo would be awesome, but this song is traditionally played on just guitar.

Flatt and Scruggs got the verse and chorus back to front, and everyone just repeats. Nice version otherwise.
Singer is as bad as his haircut. With that voice he should be sporting a flat top! The little guy is a decent guitar player.

Dude stop. He has an old fashion style. Don't knock it if you don't know it. He is keeping a great old tradition alive. And has the talent to do it!
