- Today's drive starts from Villeneuve, located at the beginning of Lake Leman, driving along the shores and passing through Montreux until we reach Vevey.

Due to its location on Lake Leman, Villeneuve has been able to preserve its original character, as you will notice every step of the way when strolling through the town.
The attractive Maison de Ville (Town Hall) on Place de la Gare, a former hospice of Notre Dame, the Church of Our Lady, stands out on account of its architecture. The Church of Saint Paul on Grand-Rue displays the coat of arms of the Royal House of Savoy. Villeneuve is an ideal place for fishing enthusiasts. But Villeneuve has been attracting tourists above all for its culinary delights and excellent wines.

Vevey is one of the “Pearls of the Swiss Riviera”. Its lakeside location with breathtaking views of the Alpine panorama, its extraordinarily mild climate, the vineyards, numerous excursion destinations in the region and proud paddlewheel steamers on the lake characterize this town by Lake Leman.
Vevey experienced its first heyday in the belle époque period at the end of the 19th century. Even today, majestic hotels and a flower-bedecked lakeside promenade lined with palm trees continue to serve as reminders of this age. But Vevey is also a modern, regional center which is headquarters to Nestlé, the international Food and Beverage Group. Its most famous inhabitant was probably the comedian Charlie Chaplin, who spent the last twenty five years of his life here. A monument dedicated to him stands on the lakeshore.

years ago there was foxtown shops in Villeneuve, too bad it is not there anymore. Montreux, has the best fried rice, "Beijing Town". And Vevey... has the best park along the lake.
Oh also, I love the big swans in Villeneuve!
