Eric, DO NOT travel without the front seat. If you have to sell the van hundreds or more miles from home (or East Coast?) no one will purchase it. Use milk crates on the floor in front of the seat for storage. DM (New York State)

Don't be embarrassed about your collection of cassettes. At one point I had HUNDREDS , lining walls,etc. Being versatile makes us well rounded! Was able to read names of many in your collection- Great taste, Eric! Rock on!

Thanks for another great video. I really enjoyed it. This reminds me of some of your earliest videos, just hanging out in the RV, talking about systems, tech, modifications and such. I'm especially interested in the architecture of the older residential neighborhoods and the early "downtown" area. (If you've already done some of this kind of thing, I've missed it, and hopefully you'll point me to it. I've seen most of your videos, but not every one.) Love the Jax in your chair intro. l have a 24lb. orange tabby (Ratchet...or sometimes rat sh@t) who constantly occupies my favourite chair, yet l am blessed that he does't chew my wires. Keep up the good work Eric, love your channel.
Mt dog chews electrical cords as well. I got a small brush and coated the wires with Tabasco. After several weeks of this, she learned to leave them alone. Don't have to add the Tabasco anymore due to her learning curve.

Hey Eric. There is a tee you can buy - it's called a 4 port tee - that goes between your rv tank and the regulator. It comes with a hose that you attach to the 20 lb tank and then to this tee. Then you turn off the valve from the main tank, open the valve on the 20 lb and there you go. The 20 lb becomes your supply.

With tapes if it breaks it can be fixed easily! Not so with disks or flash drives! I had several trucker buddies that got rid of their passenger seats. 1 Bui?t a computer desk, in its place mid 90s and lap tops were going for insane prices and not so good with gaming! The other didn't like it as he couldn't throw stuff on to his cabinet he put in so he put his back. I kept mine in and put the tower under the desk. But for you I'd leave it and do better storing in the top bunk. Try a swivel seat. I miss them but in the passenger side it gives you some difference in floor plans. Besides there is always a hitchhiker around the next curve or in some app and you don't want someone you don't know sitting behind you! Oh yeah, it makes you think! Blue Sky's and Safe Journeys!
I had a Siamese cat that chewed every electrical cord he could get to. He even was shocked by current in one bite but it didn't stop him. We just had to hide all cords. :-)
It's true that the weather does impact all those sensitive electronics. You always have such great footage & time lapse sequences. Cats.... 🙄. Okay, the cassette tape thing is certainly unique. I brought back two of the original Walkmans from Japan in 1980 before they went on sale in the US :-) Then later upgraded to the Sony Mini-Disc which I still have. Haven't used it in decades and still have stacks of blank mini-discs still in the wrapper :-) The stereo in our camper has a USB input and I have a 64 Gb flash drive (the size of a nickle) with about 3000 songs stored on it so seldom hear the same song over again :-)

Eric,perhaps you should consider a wire-covered gas hose for the buddy heater or a larger flexible PVC hose (for electrical installation) to slide over the gas line as protection. *There is a big risk when Jax would chew on the gas hose .... !!!*
My RV came with a working 8 track deck< Sanyo > . I've found a few good tapes. I like cassette too. The sound/tone of them. Yep...Nice CD system. Tunes......... A Must.
I hope you head up to NW montana well and the Northern tip of idaho both have a ton of lakes surrounded by gorgeous mountains, flathead lake is so beautiful. Glacier National Park gets all the attention but the surrounding area is just as beautiful.
Go get a roll of wire loom and put it over your cords. Plumb the aux. gas line yourself, it's pretty easy and add a quick disconnect for convenience. You can get the brass fittings at any hardware store.
When you exchange your propane tank at WalMart you get 15 LB's for 15 dollars, yes? Propane where I'm at (Arizona) is about 2.29 per gallon. Sounds like I need to do some research and maths unless someone knows the cost breakdown... (I'm too lazy this morning) -- Keep up the great work, Eric. You've been an inspiration.
I really enjoy your videos Eric! I had 2 dogs in the past that chewed on laptop cords (a little costly). I hope you show us the giant California redwoods again as you travel south. They were so awesome to see. Plus I hope you visit another theme park where you can film yourself on rides. That was a hoot! 😄
We are getting itchy feet, too. 5 months an area is just too much. We still have to stay close until the end of May for the granskids' graduation and the last of DH's dental work. But we are so eager to be gone.
I love cassette tapes because I like to have to re-purchase my entire music collection every few years when the old ones stop working correctly . . . Yeah, that's how I remember cassettes. I'm glad I switched to CDs. And I have nearly 500 albums on my iPod. I never have to tighten tape, or adjust the spring and foam under the playing head, or fish the tape out of a hungry tape player. . . or buy the same album again because it got heat baked.

The Pacific Northwest is beautiful in the spring, I have a reel to reel that will record to an eight track and my dog chews cords. Great video.
