Yup. No point in listening if no one ever says anything they want to change. What I love about 2.0 is that it's not for me. It's clearly targeting a different group of players' interests. Unlike other games, though , WuWa didn't sacrifice the core audience in order to widen the game's appeal. It still has all the things I need. I'm really growing in confidence in these devs.
Yes, it's good to continue sending feedback, but remember, guys, not to overdo it. Continued critical feedback by itself is not encouraging. Solon, the CEO himself, just said that receiving compliments on the work and love they give to the game makes them work even harder. So remember to also highlight the things that you like the most.
I was wrong too. I first played the game when it came out and hated it due to story and performance issues. I redownloaded it during Camellya’s banner and was hooked ever since. I love this game.
Optimization was horrible, and while the crownless tutorial was cool, Act 1-3 until Scar were terrible too. After that, its just been getting better and better.
As a Genshin day 1 player I went in and gave it the same fair chance I gave to Genshin, people like to believe that Hoyo released a perfect game from day one but anyone who truly remembers knows what a shitshow it was, to this day they haven't done a single thing about the performance on one of their launch platforms, they tried to make you spend resin on events, the drops at the end of the domains went on the floor and some anemo units could yeet them outside of the arena and that's ignoring all the little things. WuWa launch was far from perfect but they took responsability and improved, then the game stabilized and they kept on improving and now look where we are, meanwhile my Mona C1 a launch day unit is still bugged, meanwhile Dehya is still working as intended and meanwhile Arlecchino still can't properly deal with Dvalin, they took YEARS! to fix a problem with electro resonance, they took years to fix one of Keqing cons mind you a unit that THEY SOLD! Now they facing extremely polarized opinions about Natlan the nation of mid because they borrowed a lot and stuck it together but it wasn't enough so now we ended with characters that don't fit on a nation that feels like a cashgrab on a story with so much potential but with so many pacing issues that it left my head spinning by how backwards it felt. Now if you don't mind I'll be loging on WuWa to get some upgrades for my old units because Kuro actually went and improved on some of the complains and all of that while I enjoy one of the best expansions I've ever seen in any game of any genre period. And no I'm not a Genshin hater, I still play to this day but it feels like begging for scraps, waiting one full week to just raise a single level to my Mavuika surely feels amazing -.- oh look at that, my Carlotta already has all the nodes and liberation + res skill at 10...
Yea genshin is in itself a good game it just needs better devs. The state of the game is abysmal right now especially when almost every other similar gacha in the top 10 are all making much better quality of life decisions and catering to the consumer a lot more.
Day 1 player here. It is genuinely astounding how far the game has come since relase. The story has only become better as has the voice acting. I've put like 15 hours into 2.0 now and while I finished the main story, most of the quests and also Carlotta's story quest there's still some good exploration left to do. What impresses me the most is the quality of the story telling: Some cut scenes are really epic and the voice acting is really on point (I also appreciate Rover talking much more now). The story stayed interesting and I'm looking forward to upcoming patches. I also love the new mechanics and little quality of life improvements. You can fly now for a limited time which makes exploration a lot quicker and easier and another nice addition is, that you can craft items directly from the menu instead of having to travel to the next point in a city. What I am interested in is, how they'll handle the whole gatcha romance aspect. Tbh Shorekeeper is the canon love interest to me after 1.3. She even straight out stays, that she loves Rover. Question is if Kuro will have the balls to explore this further or if they'll keep it vague because there are other characers coming up. That said (warning, spoiler for the new resonator), at the end of the Carlotta story quest she returns to her grandfather to help with calming down the family after a big incident you helped with. So she basically won't be relevant much in future updates it seems, something I expect for future characters as well (some flirting might happen and then it's off to the next resonator). The reason I'm addressing this topic is, that Rover sometimes still feels a little stiff when interacting with other characters. That's like my only gripe in the story, to give him/her more emotions. Anways, if you haven't tried Wuthering Waves yet, now is definitely a great time to do so! One thing I wanted to mention as well is Kuro gifting Astrite (the ingame currency) on a regular basis plus regular events to farm more (of course you get some when doing your daily stuff as well). All in all you can spend money on this game but you'll save up enough currency to pull a couple good characters and build a strong team without having to.
Nah, your not wrong with your evaluation on the release version. Even on JP, they did stumble especially with the translation and even for myself, I did find it hard to connect with the storyline but around halfway the story somewhat makes sense to me and im really glad that I didnt drop this game ( I didnt even planned on dropping this game anyway ) I just really respect the devs, the QoL in this game is just way too amazing. One thing that I really like about this game is that it really respect my time ( I do have a work and there are times that I can only play for atleast 10 mins max ) and what they did is to simplify the task to finish the daily task as fast as possible. Others might just say then just dont play the game if you dont have that time but for me its not the case since its only weekends that I can play at fullest so this kind of treatment is what I found amazing tbh. Like they put the skip button for the story but in the end you dont even need to press it due to the fact that their story lately is just pure W. Hope that you find more ways on enjoying this game! sorry for the long comment btw ^^
what they need, is a total revamp of the 1.0 story. they dont need to change the whole plot, but they need to fix the pacing, and yang yang boicr actor should get a re shoot of all her voice line. her in game cice is very good, but her voice in the story just sound so monotone and emotionless. also it so confusing about how so many characters you didnt even meet during the story to show up at the final battle. it lack coherent and they dont earn that hype. everything bad about the story can be said in 1.0. everything after that is just chef kiss
I never played Genshin Impact. I played Wuthering Waves on release, 1.0 had went through development hell story wise, the initial story was scrapped and had to be rewritten. It was shaky for sure but 1.1 you can see them offering better direction with the story, music, etc. Yangyang's voice direction was not the best in 1.0, however I can personally attest that in 1.3, which I'm not sure is currently playable unfortunately, her voice direction has dramatically improved. Same voice actor, much better delivery. What I can say as someone whose stuck around since the beginning, the developers have actively been listening and have improving the game patch by patch based on player feedback. On ZZZ's level at the minimum. 2.0 is the culmination of the developers listening to what the players want and delivering a great experience. So I recommend leaving feedback, they are definitely paying attention. There's a reason why Wuthering Waves have a "devs listened" meme going around lol.
what's crazy is that this game improves from patch to patch. The developers are also very attentive. It’s just wonderful to see so much progress. This game definitely has my support
I do not think you were too harsh. Your criticism of the early version seems very valid to me. I had a lot of the same criticism. I voiced that criticism alongside many others and the devs listened and improved the game. Your criticism is very much appreciated.
I'm always supporting kuro from the beginning!!! Fighting with genshin fans , Tof fan... Now it's time me to break thx kuro.... My struggle wasn't in vain... U make me proud...
Thank you for giving this game a chance, I've been on board on the train since the beginning but I can say that 1.0 really is a mess, several circumstances happened and its inevitable. But critisicm was what needed at the time and by 1.1 onwards, everything has just been in a upward trajectory. And now everything has paid-off 2.0 has been a absolute blast and honestly nothing could've prepared us on what's in it. And being able to freely speak about the game's issues and have them resolved by the next update is just validating. Don't be fraternized if you think that you were harsh during 1.0 its warranted, the devs needed to hear the issues and to solve it. Kuro Games encourages us to give a fair critique to the game and in turn they give us the game that'd make us happy.
Glad you're finally on board! Dont forget to leave good constructive feedback for the devs. Its because we voiced the issues that the game is where its at. I really think wuthering has an insane amount of potential.
WuWa and ZZZ are my absolute favorite gacha games! Both of them have SUCH amazing dev teams and both have shown they're willing to completely overhaul the entire game or just put in SO much effort into taking player feedback and improving the game it's AMAZING Both the games are honestly such a breath of fresh air compared to Genshin and even HSR for me >.< I love the Genshin story, but it does feel like the devs don't care too much about making the game more player friendly :(
hey man, good video. Just wanna say on behalf of the wuwa community, welcome home. Thank you for being open-minded and willing to try the game out again. Another sharp mind to constructively analyze and criticize the game is always welcome. Me, like many others in the community were long time genshin players and tho I hate to bring it up, this game is a sanctuary for those who were never listened to in the past 4 years. Most of your early criticisms are perfectly valid. In fact, I agree completely. But I also saw the devs' genuine responds to complaints and acknowledgement of the community earlier on, which enabled me to keep going during the 1.0 days. And so far, they haven't dissapointed. Always enjoy seeing new and returning players play the game again. Enjoy your stay and have fun, mate. Keep up the amazing job.
1.0 was definitely not the best but I continued to stay with the game because the devs showed so much promise when they listened to their community. Trusting in the developers to make the game even better was definitely the best investment I’ve done after experiencing 2.0
You could cook a steak to a cinder on my phone in about 45 seconds while I was playing WuWa trying to somewhat keep up waiting for it to release on Ps5. Huge PGR fan so I'm glad to see these guys get the praise they deserve. Hope they keep up with this level of quality as we go on 👏👏
Been daily logging since release. Yeah my friends didn't enjoy the 1.0 experience and fell off around the time Yin Lin released. I would say after 1.1 released I felt much more attached to the game. 2.0 has had a few people get interested in the game again so I hope if they decide to return they enjoy what they find. I will say some of the yapping is still there and whenever they do a survey I tell them to cut it down a bit, it's improved since release of yangyang/chixia repeating everything we just said/saw, but I think there is more room for nuance and brevity. Either way so far I've been enjoying the 2.0 story and all the qol changes, the main thing that kept me playing when I was doubting was the combat and that has only continued to improve with new characters in my opinion.
1st day was really bad NGL, many optimization issues and the story and voice acting was horrible. But I enjoyed the combat and echo system so much that I just sucked it up. But then it got better and better and 2.0 update was a really good one. Now I have my new favorite character Carlotta with reminds me of DMC.
Because of the PS5 release I checked it out (had also been feeling super burnt out on Genshin, stopped playing that for now (maybe HSR too soon honestly (but not ZZZ, ZZZ is peak love it as much as I did when I started still ANYWAYS))) Still super early but I'm really enjoying it so far! Love the combat, which is normally the part of games I'm drawn most to It kinda gives me PSO2 vibes but with less annoyances I'm glad you made a video about it too because I had that 'waifu experience' you've talked about with Caesar/Burnice (and I think maybe you mentioned a Nikke too at some point) and was just gonna dump some of these thoughts on an unrelated video of yours aha Because I've liked characters before and thought like, me being super hype on Caesar is what people meant when they talked about waifus/husbandos But I get it now Chixia has gripped my soul The design, the gameplay, the personality and performance- I got like 3 or 4 five stars with all the beginner bonus stuff and outside of the healer girl I'm basically not even touching them because of Chixia Think I'm at 4 eidolons/cinemas/whatevers for her and hoping I'll get full 6 before long I'd sell my soul for a 5 star Chixia
@@Mutio86 I just assumed you were referring to WuWa in particular, none of their other female characters wear pants! It's always some type of skirt or dress or robe! Zani's the first one in suit pants and a dress shirt and tie ^^
U were't that wrong about WuWa at launch, it was one of the worst launches i have seen(aside from Concord) with SO much stuff going wrong but they kept working at the game day and night and they still release multible patches every day while also listening to the playerbase. Ever since 1.1 the game has been in a uplift with them even give a free 5 star(xiangli Yao) during 1.2 as a thank u. I hope u have a blast with the game now, i know i am and can't wait to see where the story goes next.
I played since day one on mobile/tablet only. It had a lot of bugs/issues but with every issue came fixes and compensation. Their willingness to not only acknowledge these issues but compensate was what kept me playing. Knowing that they were genuinely trying to not only improve but listen to the community was a breath of fresh air coming from Genshin. Now the only thing that keeps me playing Genshin is sunk cost fallacy and time spent in game.
Wuwa is now in a really good state, 2.0 overall is really impressive even by non-gatcha standards. However its true that Kuro needs to rework the first 3 acts and Yangyang. They need to hook you up at the start, make you interested in the story, the world and the characters. If they bring the 2.0 level of polish to those 3 first acts, it would benefit new players A LOT. Yangyang needs some serious work, not only for being the "poster girl" of the game, but because the character is just bland, uninteresting, with a voice that make you sleep and an incredible thirst for Rover that makes no sense.
@@Storekeeper-k7h Yeah, I tried with an alter account and its a bit better, but the beginning of the story needs some tweaks, like introducing new terms/concepts more naturally and not all at once, so that you can learn about world building without zoning out, the Rover needs to earn the trust and praise before getting glazed all over, the characters need to interact more between each other and the world needs to not be centered on Rover for everything. Also, I dont mind Yangyang simping Rover, but it needs a reason for it, and her character cant be so one dimensional. You compare her to any character in 2.0 and its night and day. In few words, 1.0 needs a 2.0 treatment.
there's really no wrong first impression in my opinion, it's a fact that wuwa launch is not the best, every wuwa players agree to that, what's really important is that the game got better and will continue to do so in the future
I started playing seriously during the Shorekeeper patch since I got her and heard her jingle on her pull animation. I knew instantly it HAD to be something special, and I was right, 1.3 is still very dear to me
As a WuWa fan since Tech Test days, my only guess as to why you dislike the initial start of WuWa is probably because of the rewriting of the story and removal of several quest lines from the game. The initial storyline was supposed to be much darker / edgy-er , putting more importance at how everyone didn't rlly trust you. While now everyone kinda gets surprised by you in a positive way , and storyline doesn't hit the same. But the fact that we lost a lot of quests due to some problems in the writing of the first story (ppl didn't like a couple characters, mostly Lingyang (when he wasn't called Lingyang) and Chixia too. Danjin story, Baizhi story and probably another one that Im not remembering, were removed. So specially 1.0 felt lacking in story content, and with a softer approach to the characters.. well I can guess why u didn't rlly enjoy it :')
See the new flying mechanic: I described exactly how the challenges are done in the feedback a few patches ago. Low and behold, it is here, and they even made it more special, as I had only said to let gliding be faster and use wind tunnels to allow us to zip across the sky.
The way I see it is the 1.0 release of any game is basically like a TV show's pilot episode, not only helps them find out what they did wrong or what people like and dislike, it helps show who their target audience is from then on forth. If we didn't have the criticism we wouldn't have the changes we have now.
The game has come a long way and I have so much more confidence that Kuro will continue making it better. I almost dropped it when they hadn't released controller support for mobile and boom it comes in the next patch. It's wild how much has changed since launch.
Addressing your YangYang va. issue: Many had this gripe, and its roots lay in the fact that Kuro instructed many, if not all of their voice acting cast to adopt an American accent, when in actuality the voice actors are predominantly british, as shines through in the newer content. Funnily enough, imo. YangYang's combat voice lines are some of the cleanest, as just her voice is really nice
After some Googling i did find the same answers regarding the accents, and it very much seems to be a 1.0 Yangyang issue as every new VA i've encountered in my return is absolute top tier. Camellya, Lumi and Carlotta are absolutely amazing
i have always wanted to try wuwa because apparently its combat is alot more mechanical skill involved but seeing it on streamed i immediately pushed it away but now im definitely willing to try again ^^
No dude, you are right the opening of Wuwa was very weak, but being a day 1 player, did saw this game grew so fast, its amazing, welcome back rover, you are free to come and go, but what I do hope is you enjoy the game
I hope I'm not getting your hopes up but an example of a character of theirs that can shield is Bridget from PGR and she is an insanely fun character with a higher skill ceiling
I had a similar experience except it didnt work out as well for me. I found it to be worse genshin on day one and dropped it I came back for shorekeeper but did manage to pull her instead I ended up playing the story quest for character I had missed and both the quest and the character were cool but I didnt get shorekeeper in the end and dropped it again. The flaw of having the new content and the draw to the game be characters is that if you dont get the character theres no reason to continue playing. Listening to your experience where you got the character and pushed past the old stuff to get to the new makes me really respect the zzz devs that wennt back and fixed the start of their game whilst still keeping up the update schedule.
Sir , YangYang forte will shut her life off if she have a bit of emotion . So maybe that why her voice robotic and emotionless . If that's not the reason and her voice is bug , Kuro can easily fixed it but they are not .
Nahh day 1 was rough, even for day 1 pgr Kuro believer, i can understand how some people got deterred from it, but Kuro always push forward, doesn't matter if people left from 1.0 people always come back
Thank for giving it a chance but still you can be contructive critical. Blind praising will never make it grow so we all make sure to give honest to god feedback.
I still don't see how people can say the start was/is bad, sure the story was kinda meh, but the combat alone was always fire and the fact it was the first gacha game that didn't feel like it's only mission was to get into my wallet also helped. Although the fact they are now adding in $50 skins is kinda worrying, i trust they won't fuck up all the good will they have gotten.
Yangyang nearly turned me of the game, they need to fix the VA and pacing for chapter 1 and 2. But I adore my dauteru, Encors, specially after doing her story quest that hit me so hard
as people say when they win a 5* character. welcome home. glad ur enjoying the game now. last time i felt this invested in a studio or company was when i played persona 5 or nier automata. just wait until u learn quick swapping, thats when u get some DMC vibes full on
@@HakoCity my favourite part of this game is the quickswapping, nothing like it from other titles, most see switch to this, do the thing, wait for meter to be full for intro. but when u throw that into the wind you realize it gives you so much combat freedom. try using Carlotta second ability when she jumps then immediately swap to another character, or when she does her heavy plunge swap to another character and do a second plunge attack or the classic camelia ability swap into Carlotta double skill back into camelia to continue basic. so much freedom u dont get anywhere else i tell u. esp most echo skills and the NEW nightmare echo skills dont need to finish animation, cast and immediately swap to another character n let em do their thing on their own
Just to have an idea of how generous pulls are I´m like you, I only buy the lunite subscription plus the unlock of the insider channel of the pioneer podcast, and right now the only character I´m missing is Changli
Day 1 definitely wasn't impressive. It was unoptimized, rushed and kind of a slog until later parts of the first update. I'm very glad I stuck with it, and it's now one of my favourite games of all time because of 2.0. I hope they can keep cooking like this.
I would suggest you to change the size of the webcam to something less wider Ik you were just talking mostly but Still it would be better if you just said what you felt while playing without having the game in the background but showing clips while voicing over it
The thing about with Wuwa is that there are essentially no bad characters even. Linyang. I know people for crap on him all the time. But there are essentially no bad characters. Linyang even has his uses. There are better DPS of course, but there are really no bad characters.
If only they revamp the first 3 chapters like ZZZ did, man the game is so good but I can't get into the story even if other people told me to get through it so I can experience yhe better part later 😢
What did you say? 😅ngl I liked the game since version 1.0, combat was really good and exploration was all I needed. I found it to be better than the G game since launch (to me) 😌 I mean you can't tell enough on first impression to say something has no identity (basically because it's in development). We know these kinds of games are developed through patches, judging based on the first one is similar to the saying of never judging a book by its cover. Still, the same thing you said about Wuwa was what was said about Genshin, some comments about it being The Zelda Breath of the Wild anime version History repeats itself seems to be..hahah
I am always critical of the game, but Kuro has my fealty because they are improving and because the core gameplay is good As soon as I see them begin to relax I'm dropping the game, I have enough great games in my backlog, but they have not disappointed me Not too badly at least, I still think 1.3 story was offensively bad haha, but I really liked Camellya's story
Edit: early combat feeling "clunky" is genuinely unfair, however I've seen reviews where people talked about the combat but did not mention concerto energy ONCE Concerto energy and intro/outro skills is what fundamentally differentiates WuWa from other games and makes all those animation cancels and optimization and team building meaningful There is actual difference between someone who is new to the game and someone who spent more time playing for that reason Also, you missed Changli and Xiangli Yao which is kinda balls because Changli is a beautiful quickswap sub-dps and Xiangli Yao is both incredibly powerful and was given for entirely free
Nah you weren't wrong about it, its just that Kuro finally seems to have put their act together in 2.0. Everything after 1.1 felt like a filler and such a flop to me. Repeateble, boring events, combat events that have you fight the same enemies over and over, on the same maps you have been exploring and playing since release. Music was bland and boring and the story barely moved forward, but instead had us focusing on character stories instead. Events that last the whole patch, yet can be completed in the first 2 weeks, leaving you with nothing to do for the rest of the version but log in do your dailies and log out. Only one real and repeatable end-game mode 7 months into it's life span, boring and bland open world with literally nothing happening in it but killing some mobs and opening chests (albeit every zone was beautiful visually, but sadly empty and boring). There was no reason to explore, there was no quests that let you learn more about the world and lore. Nothing. It was just bad. Period. The fact there was so much filler between 1.1-2.0 and the fact the game jumped from 1.4 straight to 2.0 tells me they have had all hands on deck since 1.1 to completely revamp their initial vision for the game (or more like the lack of one, as it felt they really didn't knew what they want to do with their game and open world at first), but now things seems ot be picking up in the right direction and that's really nice to see. I was really very close to just dropping the game before 2.0, but now I definitely see a potential for the game to make new strides in the right direction if they can keep the momentum up. Music, storytelling, world exploration etc seems to have improved a lot, but i'd still love to see more interesting and varied events and end game modes.
Every game starts out a bit off. You need to give them time and feedback to make them bloom like flowers. Of course that needs developers that care abd listen and a company that doesnt go only for profit. Wuwa is growing steadily and if you give constructive critisism then it will only help.
Yea I didn’t like yangyang either lol. I just feel like the va kind of goes overboard or something like that I can’t explain it exactly. Like her tones dont seem to match up with the moments or something it’s something off for me maybe somebody else can explain it better im not a good va analyzer
Idk Wuwa graphics puts me off, it's the same feeling that I hate with HSR, things around me feels so fake, like they're cardboard. Maybe it's the lack of imperfections in the textures.
The part where you said, Did you judge the game harshly?. I say to that is No. It is a fair critic of the game. Wuwa 1.0 was really bad, It had some good stuff in it but mostly bad. People who had the same feedback like yours actually helped Wuwa to strive to be better.
Also about Yangyang on why she sounds like that it because it's tied to her forte. Showing to much emotions will cause her to Overclock so she has to show less emotions. (this can be seen in her profile)
Wuwa was promising even when it started. The main problem was and still is the "hoyoblock" in peoples heads... After couple of hours playng WuWa, you expected the emotions, what Hoyoverse give you for more than 3 years... I am with Genshin from beginning, I have all 5 star characters at 90 level, completing all events etc, but now I just cant play it... There's no fun anymore. The Hoyoverse just checking boxes for every new versions with no effort. In the other hand, the WuWa is listen gamers and make this game better and better. 2.0 is just a masterpeace, I even didn't expect so huge quality leap...
I think every day 1 player can confirm that the day 1 impression wasn't the best, but the game listens and incredibly improved on many things!
I think we need to revisit the price tag on this game $0
Nah those who had bad impressions of this game on day 1 are genshintards.
@@childe7556 nah I think people can have a mixture of good impressions and bad impressions, its not just black in white, 0 or 100.

Even on JP, they did stumble especially with the translation and even for myself, I did find it hard to connect with the storyline but around halfway the story somewhat makes sense to me and im really glad that I didnt drop this game ( I didnt even planned on dropping this game anyway )
I just really respect the devs, the QoL in this game is just way too amazing.
I love hearing you talk , like genuinely. Also welcome to wuthering waves! I'm a day one fan , even the year before it came out i saw the leaks .
Thank you very much for these kind words!
@@HakoCity God bless have a good one
what they need, is a total revamp of the 1.0 story. they dont need to change the whole plot, but they need to fix the pacing, and yang yang boicr actor should get a re shoot of all her voice line. her in game cice is very good, but her voice in the story just sound so monotone and emotionless. also it so confusing about how so many characters you didnt even meet during the story to show up at the final battle. it lack coherent and they dont earn that hype. everything bad about the story can be said in 1.0. everything after that is just chef kiss
Not a revamp but they changed some things and re recorded several lines.
Actually they have already improved voice acting in 1.0 if you play now yangyang is not that bad
Indeed they improved some voice lines! Like Encore’s story maybe we get the character stories of characters that have none yet!
1.3 is the introduction to the black shores, so yes, it is still playable
@@marucic8967 ah pardon me, I meant patch 1.2, the patch we had in August with Zhezhi and Xiangli Yao
what's crazy is that this game improves from patch to patch.
It was really a rough start for them, glad they saved it and now we are here eating the food they cooked
Devs listening is an absolute blessing! And super excited to see where they go from here
WuWa and ZZZ are my absolute favorite gacha games! Both of them have SUCH amazing dev teams and both have shown they're willing to completely overhaul the entire game or just put in SO much effort into taking player feedback and improving the game it's AMAZING
Both the games are honestly such a breath of fresh air compared to Genshin and even HSR for me >.<
I love the Genshin story, but it does feel like the devs don't care too much about making the game more player friendly :(
hey man, good video.
What an absolutely lovely comment, thank you for these kind words and i gotta say the reponse to this has been absolutely heartwarming
1.0 was definitely not the best but I continued to stay with the game because the devs showed so much promise when they listened to their community. Trusting in the developers to make the game even better was definitely the best investment I’ve done after experiencing 2.0
I enjoyed your video. It's interesting to hear the opinion of a genshin player that isn't a fanboy
Because of the PS5 release I checked it out (had also been feeling super burnt out on Genshin, stopped playing that for now (maybe HSR too soon honestly (but not ZZZ, ZZZ is peak love it as much as I did when I started still ANYWAYS)))
Still super early but I'm really enjoying it so far! Love the combat, which is normally the part of games I'm drawn most to
It kinda gives me PSO2 vibes but with less annoyances
I'm glad you made a video about it too because I had that 'waifu experience' you've talked about with Caesar/Burnice (and I think maybe you mentioned a Nikke too at some point) and was just gonna dump some of these thoughts on an unrelated video of yours aha
Because I've liked characters before and thought like, me being super hype on Caesar is what people meant when they talked about waifus/husbandos
But I get it now
Chixia has gripped my soul
The design, the gameplay, the personality and performance- I got like 3 or 4 five stars with all the beginner bonus stuff and outside of the healer girl I'm basically not even touching them because of Chixia
Think I'm at 4 eidolons/cinemas/whatevers for her and hoping I'll get full 6 before long
I'd sell my soul for a 5 star Chixia
Man I have most of the resonators but chixia is still my main girl lmao
Also I loooove Zani, I'm really excited for her too xD
Every coomer is excited for Zani at this point.
Seriously Zani is HOT, that outfit alone (pants can good look on women too but in this case, DAMN).
95% of woman wear pants every day and you say pants can lool good on woman too.. Have you ever seen a woman beyond your PC?
@ I was referring to games only and especially mean the style Zani is wearing? Man the internet and people jumping to conclusions…
In the beginning I stayed cus I liked the devs. I’m glad I won my 50/50 here
I played since day one on mobile/tablet only.
100% agree
Tbh the JP VA isn't bad at all (I can imagine CN and KR are ok too) but the female MC and yangyang in english are awful
Actually they have already improved voice acting in 1.0 if you play now yangyang is not that bad
@@Funkloned ya I also agree 1.0 was mid at best but you can't really change the story now but they can improve in future version
Good to see people giving it a second chance, the rinascita kinda reminds me of italy renaissance from assassins creed II
Oh dude i can definitely see that, the good ol' days before AC fell of the deep end
there's really no wrong first impression in my opinion, it's a fact that wuwa launch is not the best, every wuwa players agree to that, what's really important is that the game got better and will continue to do so in the future
Cheers to the road ahead!
Low and behold, it is here, and they even made it more special, as I had only said to let gliding be faster and use wind tunnels to allow us to zip across the sky.
same at first same happened to me, it's just a matter of sticking around till it gets good
Everyone is reviewing WUWA and no complain, watch every video and be really happy that I play since DAY 1 too hehe 1:12
The way I see it is the 1.0 release of any game is basically like a TV show's pilot episode, not only helps them find out what they did wrong or what people like and dislike, it helps show who their target audience is from then on forth. If we didn't have the criticism we wouldn't have the changes we have now.
I'm glad you gave it another chance, 2.0 has been a huge improvement.
The game has come a long way and I have so much more confidence that Kuro will continue making it better. I almost dropped it when they hadn't released controller support for mobile and boom it comes in the next patch. It's wild how much has changed since launch.
Hard to be a dev when players, such as yourself, are pussies. They need every single thing to accapt the game.
Super hecking excited to see where they'll take this!
I genuinely sigh everytime yangyang appears lol. Tbh the first few acts would've been a lot better with a voice actor change alone for her.
i have always wanted to try wuwa because apparently its combat is alot more mechanical skill involved but seeing it on streamed i immediately pushed it away but now im definitely willing to try again ^^
The combat is casual friendly enough with room for skilled play and there's content that check ur game mechanics
its a waste of time
@@vitrumtarsnewly created genshin bot account couldn't get more obvious 😂😂😂
No dude, you are right the opening of Wuwa was very weak, but being a day 1 player, did saw this game grew so fast, its amazing, welcome back rover, you are free to come and go, but what I do hope is you enjoy the game
For the shield part, do not worry Kuro has a way to make shielders fun to play
Can't wait to see it in action!
I hope I'm not getting your hopes up but an example of a character of theirs that can shield is Bridget from PGR and she is an insanely fun character with a higher skill ceiling
I hope she plays with taoqi, I like playing her but she lacks damage.
We can fly in rinascita too , so awesome.
Actually just discovered the flight mechanic live today, Absolutely Peak travelling design, Love it!
If ever the biggest thing the separates Wuwa from other gacha games other than aesthetic and gameplay is WUWA DEVELOPERS LISTEN!❤❤❤
I think you should give Wuthering Waves an apology
Nahh day 1 was rough, even for day 1 pgr Kuro believer, i can understand how some people got deterred from it, but Kuro always push forward, doesn't matter if people left from 1.0 people always come back
absolutely not, it deserved all criticism it got
@ are you those haters if you are your just jealous
wuwa on release was garbage that only improved thanks to criticism
@ damn you
Thank for giving it a chance but still you can be contructive critical.
But I adore my dauteru, Encors, specially after doing her story quest that hit me so hard
as people say when they win a 5* character. welcome home. glad ur enjoying the game now. last time i felt this invested in a studio or company was when i played persona 5 or nier automata. just wait until u learn quick swapping, thats when u get some DMC vibes full on
My boy be throwing some Banging game titles around! And there's still so much i need to grasp about characters and combat :D
@@HakoCity my favourite part of this game is the quickswapping, nothing like it from other titles, most see switch to this, do the thing, wait for meter to be full for intro. but when u throw that into the wind you realize it gives you so much combat freedom. try using Carlotta second ability when she jumps then immediately swap to another character, or when she does her heavy plunge swap to another character and do a second plunge attack or the classic camelia ability swap into Carlotta double skill back into camelia to continue basic. so much freedom u dont get anywhere else i tell u. esp most echo skills and the NEW nightmare echo skills dont need to finish animation, cast and immediately swap to another character n let em do their thing on their own
I always tell Kuro games whenever I provide feedback to stray away to Genshin's path, which I think most of WuWa players would have agreed.
Yeah i think that's a very healthy advice, and in my return i kinda felt like they had adopted just that path
@HakoCity we appreciate you giving credits where credit is due. More power to you.
I would suggest you to change the size of the webcam to something less wider
Ik you were just talking mostly but
Still it would be better if you just said what you felt while playing without having the game in the background but showing clips while voicing over it
Feedback taken good sir
I am always critical of the game, but Kuro has my fealty because they are improving and because the core gameplay is good
As soon as I see them begin to relax I'm dropping the game, I have enough great games in my backlog, but they have not disappointed me
Not too badly at least, I still think 1.3 story was offensively bad haha, but I really liked Camellya's story
Edit: early combat feeling "clunky" is genuinely unfair, however
I've seen reviews where people talked about the combat but did not mention concerto energy ONCE
Concerto energy and intro/outro skills is what fundamentally differentiates WuWa from other games and makes all those animation cancels and optimization and team building meaningful
There is actual difference between someone who is new to the game and someone who spent more time playing for that reason
Also, you missed Changli and Xiangli Yao which is kinda balls because Changli is a beautiful quickswap sub-dps and Xiangli Yao is both incredibly powerful and was given for entirely free
Music, storytelling, world exploration etc seems to have improved a lot, but i'd still love to see more interesting and varied events and end game modes.
kuro's shields are in different universe😂
Yeah, the game up to Mt. Firmament was pretty abysmal.
It starts picking up from that point on.
1. 0 was the fault of devs listening too much
Every game starts out a bit off. You need to give them time and feedback to make them bloom like flowers. Of course that needs developers that care abd listen and a company that doesnt go only for profit. Wuwa is growing steadily and if you give constructive critisism then it will only help.
cute bear
I think You Want Avengers End Game in 2012 , That's the problem ,But Hey better than never 😄
Yea I didn’t like yangyang either lol. I just feel like the va kind of goes overboard or something like that I can’t explain it exactly. Like her tones dont seem to match up with the moments or something it’s something off for me maybe somebody else can explain it better im not a good va analyzer
It's funny, almost every UA-cam I see now has these "I was wrong about WW", "I am sorry WW" etc. 😀
Credit where credit's due! Gotta be amazing for the devs
Where are your initial impressions?
I took that video down as i feel like the video was no longer relevant to the state of the game :)
Zani reminds me more of Helltaker tbh
Oh never heard of that game before, had a look just now and i can definitely see it!

Coping
