As someone who lives 25m away from there, he only showed a fraction of how amazing that mall really is, and how many things you can do.
Twenty five meters away? You live in the parking lot?
@@analeyesanalyzeanallies5579 miles
He means 25 miles
@@dat1_stearns176 Oh I got confused since we use kilometres lol
I'm moving to Edmonton in a week or two and just can't wait been there before on vacation visited the mall and had a lot of fun.
Growing up with this mall, i never really considered how awesome it actually is.
A shadow of its former self back in the 80s when there were so many cool stores, attractions, rides, and movie theaters. Really cool that it's still there though.
Now I can see what I missed out when I was in Edmonton and didn't have time to go to The West Edmonton Mall. So many cool things to see and do, and all indoors, so perfect during the unforgiving winter up there. This would be a great place to go with a friend for a day or two! Thanks for showing us all of these awesome places right here in Canada!
100%! It’s so fun I would say it’s worth going to Edmonton just for the mall!
Growing up with the west edmonton mall was Superrrrr Amazing.
I’m going there in 2 weeks can’t wait!!!
Wait you are one of my kind
I live near edmonton! Like 15 minutes away. The mall is INSANE and I go there a lot. Glad you enjoyed our beautiful Capital City, and Province. Have lots of fun!!!
Man, I knew the Mall was cool but I didn't know it was jammed packed with so much!!! Looked like you guys had a blast!!!
Keep up the awesome work and keep inspiring us to grow outside our comfort zone!
It’s a must visit! Thanks brother!
I haven't been there in 20 years, but as a teenager in the late 80's/early 90's, it was amazing. A lot of great memories, but sadly a lot of the things I remember are long gone, like the tube ride in the waterpark, old Fantasyland, and just the general 80's mall excitement.
Been to the mall hundreds of times - it was great on a cold winter day when my kids were young. I was more of a food court guy though!
West Ed is the best mall, no one can change my mind.
Thanks for showing this!
Fun video! Love the energy and how good your editing have gotten. You left me hanging with the food! Was it good?
The food looked amazing!!!
It was super good!
Obviously
Also they have a trained seal that kisses you on the cheek, toy boat racing, bungee jumping over the pool, and so much more. Absolutely loved going to west Ed. 👍❤️
West Edmonton Mall is our neighbor. only 5 minutes to walk from our house😊.its a huge and amazing mall.hope you have had a good visit around that big mall.😇😇😇
I used to work there for nearly 8-10 years. And I still go frequently. You reminded me how many things there are to do there haha
Another fantastic video. It's fun that you and Mike are posting videos on the same day. The mall is amazing! You could plan a whole vacation and never leave the mall.
Exactly! That’s legitimately what we did.
I did just that over 20 years ago from my home in Nashville, TN. Stayed three or four days.
Oh I remember watching a documentary on tv about this crazy place. Madness.
I grew up in edmo but you still managed to teach me a couple things about the mall 👌
im watching this bc im going to edmonton next monday and im so excited🎉🎉
I wish I could visit the mall & Edmonton some day. Loved the video of you guys acting like kids. Cheers!
Hello, Sprouht!
I would like to say to you that I am a Mike's fan but in the instant you started to appear with him I became your fan too.
I wish you the best and I will certainly follow you up👍 keep smiling😀 Good Luck!🍀
I love this mall. Me and my family take road trips here almost every summer for back to school shopping:D If you ever go, and get a chance to go to galaxy land, that big tower ride is scary while you wait, but so much fun and a great experience!
I am going here tomorrow! I CANNOT WAIT
for 5 days
I live 3 hours away from that mall!! my fav mall!
Maaaaaannnnnnn! It's absolutely stunning!!!! Both of you guys are awesome double!
Thanks Rodrigo!
You are an inspiration, Wonderful work all around!
I am going to Edmonton in 4 days and I used to live there but I moved and I am going to be staying there for one week and I hope it’s fun like yours trip there 😊❤
This mall used to be amazing in the 1990s. That was a time when this mall was at its best. There were so many things to experience. I won't slam the mall too much but some renovations are necessary. I think shopping has changed over the years and I think the mall will adapt to allow spaces for other things.
The mall has plenty of space for us Filipinos! We need more Jollibee!
Thank you Filipinos for the Jollibees restaurants!!! Hopefully I’ll we can expand Tim Hortons to the Philippines. That way we can both enjoy each other’s favourite fast food restaurants and become closer as friends!!!
They really butchered Bourbon Street from what it was in the 90’s/early 00’s
snowing out there while swimming indside, cool
I miss edmonton. Born and raised there and moved at 18. Never been back since due to the drugs and crime. But the mall ill always miss, and the river valley.
Drugs and crime? Maybe find a better part of the city to live in. It's a big city. Lots of good areas.
Awesome video! I work in wem (west Edmonton mall) and this was just a fraction 👏🏼 hope you can go back and enjoy everything else it has to offer!
Brought me back to times I've spent weekends at Fantasy Land Hotel and the mall. Definitely a nice reprieve from the harsh Alberta winters. The space room looked super cool. I've seen/stayed in the Victorian room where the bed was fashioned to resemble an old carriage. The tiki room with tiki torches and a waterfall rock wall surrounding your jacuzzi, as well as the Las Vegas suite with everything neon. Such a fun place, especially a Friday or Saturday night on Bourbon St (pre covid) at the Piano Bar
There are no harsh winters anymore with global warming.
0:28 I was born in that hopsital!
Wow this looks like a lovely place to visit! Keep up with the good content!
Thanks very much!
A very lovely bromance!
It felt nice growing up with west Edmonton mall💗💗
Zamn. On the bucket list now.
9:40 look at you on that ice, wow.
Meanwhile here in France we just had black ice and I didn't want to leave my house because I was scared of falling. 😅
It helps to have shoes or boots that grip the ice better.
It is like so big in Edmonton mall! My fav part is probably the food court I love the food there
I’m so happy my home city was able to be shown on UA-cam
I live in Edmonton been too hurt to go there for 5 months now. Was nice to be there in a video:) never knew that room existed! So Kool! I personally wouldn't mind if it was winter all year! Hate hot summers.
What? Seven months of winter isn't enough? 😂
I like summer, just not the really hot days. Lot to mid 20s °C days are the best.
That is one huge mall - and what a hotel room!
Added to the "must visit" list!
Yes!
@Sprouht hi
i live 5 min from there. Dont put it on your bucket list.
@@stuflikethis You are trying to discourage tourists from coming to our city? WEM is a great place for tourists. I know lots of people who come here every year or two and a big part is to go to the mall. Some even stay in the mall's hotel.
@@my3dviews I treat people how I want to be treated. If someone told me WEM is a must see and then I went, I would feel like I got catfished
Been many times, one of my favourite places.
Worth mentioning that this was the largest mall in the world for something like 30 years, and still is the biggest mall in the western hemisphere not just North America. Also I don’t think they showed the massive indoor “lake” with the full sized pirate ship.
There used to be three theatres in it, but now it’s just one huge one with imax.
Glad you had a great time there! Can't wait to visit the WEM one day. :)
Arctic winter? Settle down slick haha
I used to live really close to this mall, and now I'm starting to miss this place a LOTTTT
I didn't even know they had half of these things. I didn't know they had a super awesome hotel, a mini golf course, a whole AQUIRIUM. I kinda wanna go back to Canada just for 1 last trip there.
ALSO THE BOBA THERE IS INCREDIBLE 10/10 WOULD WANNA DRINK AGAIN
Wow! Big Mall 😲
Space shot is the number 1 ride
I stayed 2 nights in the space room and trust me, pick any room but that one. I had migraines the whole time from all the LED lights.
This video is awesome. If I ever go to Canada I'd love to go there and ride the cool rides!!
My choir is taking us to Edmonton from Winnipeg in two WEEKS!
You should go to a oilers game
In the winter here it’s hard to convince yourself to go out, other than hockey, West Edmonton Mall has been always a go to when we’ve been bored and lazy in the winter and looking to go out
Glad I stumbled on your channel. Great content, subscribed for more!
Thanks so much!
Love the space suite in the hotel!
Yeah! So awesome
Was liking that 15 cm of snow
What about showing off Aurora, Canada's biggest (and weirdest) dispensary? I say weird because the place is so oddly spacious yet empty with all the products displayed on pillars under glass. Like a museum dedicated to weed.
That was another great video! I was there years ago before a lot of those new experiences were there. That hotel is amazing!!!
It really is!!
No way all those places are inside the mall!!!
Amazing! Thanks for sharing with us 😱❤️
I'd love to gooo
Oh they definitely are and he didn't show half of it
I live in Edmonton and used to work at the mall at the racetrack you guys went on, except back then it was a Skate shop. You missed so much! There’s a ton of new fun things to check out at WEM. I know there’s a new VR thing you can check out too, among a few other things. Although I can’t remember what. Since Covid hit I don’t go to the mall very much.
It’s so hard to get everything in with just 24 hours Kailey, especially when the shops all have limited opening hours. More of a reason to go back again though :)
@@Sprouht Very true! Well you did good for 24 hours. There’s a ton to see for sure. 🙂
The mindbender roller coaster shut down earlier this year, and Cafe Levi is no more
Missed the ship and lego store. Also it use to have submarines to ride
Great video and thanks very much for showing the great WEM 👍🇨🇦✌
Thank you!
Went there for the first time 2 summers ago....unfortunately bad timing. Because of the pandemic a lot of things were closed. So watching this, I now see how much I missed 😔 I know at some point soon I'll have to go again.
Oh yeah… You need to go back when it’s opened up
Best video guys keep making more like this ✌️✌️✌️
Me and my family are going here tomorrow can’t wait good. Video by the way
Thanks, Sprouht! I stayed at the Fantasyland Hotel and Edmonton Mall over 20 years ago and they has the wave pool and a Disney type Submarine ride and the amusement park. Your video showed me they had added even more attractions. What a treasure Canada has in this Mall. I visited from Nashville, TN, and it was before the Mall of Americas was built in Minneapolis.
Incredible. You’ll have to go back one day, Reagan!
They got rid of the submarines:(
This looks like a great time!
It was!
If I remember right, that was the mall where 1 guy lived inside the mall for a month, he could not leave or go outside, he had a month pass to keep his mind occupied. At one time there was a school inside also to get the homeless kids back to school.
Hey love your trip with DownieLive
I live 100 kilometres away and this is my favourite mall of all time! Love galaxyland and world waterpark and of course brbn street 😂
Great video today. Is there anything that mall does not have? So much fun. Your room was pretty amazing and looked like you were having a blast. Thank you for letting us come along with you.
I think they have it all! Thanks Allan.
it is fun there when you live nearby there
I was there a couple years ago loved it .. water park all day 💯💯🇨🇦 I went down the drop slide !
Huge mall!
Awesome! Keep safe.
Watching from Winnipeg 🇨🇦
I live across from the mall and its amazing i go there every weekend
The hotels are the best
I live in Edmonton that mall is HUGE it's very easy to get lost in thier!
How could anyone get lost??
Went to there back in 2019 i can confirm for the fact this is like a fraction of everything there
Hey Mike,
I believe I have had the cajun chicken before I think. My fav part would have to be the marine life and go carts. And oh yes the water park. You have put it on my heart to visit the mall. I wonder if I visited it with my parents before when I was a child? Overall the video in the words of Borat was a ", GREAT SUCCESS!"
Reminds me of the American Dream Mall in New Jersey, still would love to visit this mall though!
I have to add that to my bucket list!
Wow that's amazing 😉 Thanks for sharing 🥰🙏🙏
Me thinking I have explored the whole mall" NEVERMIND!
Love the video, but I’m from Edmonton and don’t agree that the purpose of the mall is to think of anything but our home and long harsh winters…. That’s a tad dramatic hahahaha
Awesome Cross-Canada journey! Can't imagine the size of this mall. So huge
Fantastic video, always been a dream to travel Canada, thank your letting me tag along with you in the meantime!
Thanks brother 😅😃
Edmonton is central Alberta, not northern. In fact, if you broke Alberta down to just northern/southern, it would be considered southern. Look at an Alberta map. Great video, though. We have 4 seasons, 3 months each. Fall is absolutely beautiful. All the colors of leaves changing. And our summers are very hot with nice doses of rain. Mix that with a pleasant spring, that is 6 months of warm/hot weather. Fall is a pleasant cool... And winter for me is beautiful as well.
It is sometimes called Northern Alberta. Which is what the NA in NAIT stands for.
Edmonton in the artic really 😂😂😂
I lived in Edmonton for 7 years, two of which I spent just blocks from WEM, and even I didn't know about the aquarium, go-karting, and period clothing.
Aw man. Maybe they’re new.. but now it’s even more the reason to go back one day
As a Edmonton person someone finally mad a good vid of wem in Mr beast editing
i was at west edmonton mall today i just got back but i only went there to shop
As a resident of Edmonton, was there when it was Frist built it was amazing don't know what it's like now.👍
SPACE ROOM SPACE ROOM SPACE ROOM!! lol awesome vid man :)The newer mall by us, is open air, cuz, yanno, FL. heh
Thanks Beau!
I worked ar the Fantasyland Hotel years ago... I can tell you there's so much!!
I’m gonna be going there on Tuesday!
Almost as good as the Mall Of America in Minnesota, almost. A more vintage 80s architecture look and feel for this one as well. The one thing this one has that ours doesn’t is the water park
Fun fact: the Mall of America and West Edmonton Mall were built by the same family
I’ve been to both, and there’s no way MOA compares as a fun destination. It does have some similar attractions, but not as many. MOA is very large with almost as many stores though
i love west edmonton mall 💙😉
Yesssssssss sirrrrrrrrrrrrrrr My Man William posted
Every Saturday! And sometimes on a Wednesday ;)
I live like 20 minute walk from this place. I have gone once in the last 2 years due to pandemic. I used to always go get a coffee at the timmies on the way to work.
