@@benimmortal5858 I don't think it's that tbh. It's pure genetics & culture. Samoa is always praying before & after matches just like fiji, yet they can't crack a top 3 winning position
@@floziq8117 They can bro....its the financial support that's lacking from home. I know this because fiji was in their shoes at one time before. Samoa and our cousins from Tonga needs financial support, Vinaka.
Back in 2019 I was in Munich's Olympic Stadium watching Ireland's 7s team in a second tier tournament that wasn't part of the official tour, and they didn't progress far in that tournament either. 3 years later and their progress is phenomenal. Congratulations on bronze boys.
17 years ago in Hong Kong, Ben Gollings lauches a desperate tackle that fails to stop Waisale Serevi from scoring the matching winning try of the semi finals, and Fiji advanced and eventually won the 7s World Cup. 2022, Gollings, now coaching Fiji, guides the Fijians to another 7s World Cup. Its fate.
Bula Fiji & Congratulations for your third world cup championship Superb victory big respect for NZ team they show great effort in the finals & amazing performances.
So proud of the Irish boys. 7s rugby at present is dominated by Southern Hemisphere teams, and only Ireland and France are flying the flag for NH. Considering Ireland didn’t compete at 7s just a few years ago, it’s phenomenal.
Well deserved win by Fiji! Missed crucial tackles by NZ cost them dearly. It's a pity Ireland just missed getting into the final against Fiji, because it would have been far more interesting to have had Ireland play in the final against Fiji rather than New Zealand.
Awesome win for Fiji 🇫🇯 it's great to see them dominate and get the Gold medal in The Rugbys Sevens, Wold Cup. the kiwi's got the Silver and the up and coming Irish side getting the Bronze.
So true. Argentina a soccer nation just came in and now are much better in Ranks than Fiji. Yet we have the players , money to make it happen. That offshore coach got volavola for the world cup. Maybe his on a mission to make fiji lose. I dont think our local coach would do something like that. Looks sus to me how he's going on with that job. Who chose him anyway..
A bloke from nz was mentioning about nz having won the 7's World cup more times than any other team. Wonder what he'd say now that Fiji has equaled the records. Lol
@Bhajan Premiyo🕉 . Relax bro . It’s like me telling you the story of a movie 5 minutes before you watch it . I’m a Fijian fan who did not watch the game and before I watched the highlights, I already knew that Fiji won . There’s no thrill left .
Lets cool it boys, the war starts in novembers hong kong 7s, Fiji will keep the cup till 2026,but make sure it stays with us pacific folks.See you there😀😀😀😀😀😀
Fiji is the only 7s team that has remained consistent throughout different team line ups. New Zealand has had bad moments with bad lineups in 7s a couple of time with even in one series they didn't even place in the top 5 at the end of the season and Samoa is the biggest proof of inconsistency. They were really good back in the day in 7s now they barely win against the heavy hitters. Heck Wales even won the world cup 7s once now look at them.
Honest question to the editors: why would you spoil the result in the video title? It ruins any chance for a surprise, and people usually watch highlights because they can't watch live. Small change to just NOT do it, right?
Time for some good NZ coaches to get in charge of Fiji 15s and Instil better discipline and organisation in the Fijian team. Could be world champs fairly quickly
must be a sore loser. FYI, this is Rugby WC 7s, not a HSBC 7s tournament. last 2 RWC 7s was won by NZ so show some respect to an island nation like Fiji.
There's something almost life affirming about watching the Fijians run over and run through good teams in the 7s. They make it look ridiculously easy.
It's the believe in God.
@@benimmortal5858 yea makes them disciplined

They scare me with how far they've come in so short a time. They scare me more when I think they may have more in them, yet.

Brilliant job Fiji - love their flair and style in 7s and 15s - fantastic

I'm from Fiji and my biggest highlight for this 7s world cup was Ireland making it to the semifinals, Ireland has arrived folks.
So true bro...been watching them quietly.
I really eat my hat and words on this one. Fiji simply outperformed the great NZ team. What a game, well done Fiji. From a Sprinbok supporter.
They really did so incredibly 😌😌😌 I am pleased for them tbh. Even if they technically aren't my team lol
As said "OLYMPIC CHAMPIONS ARE NOW WORLD RUGBY CHAMPIONS"

Flying Fijians! They love some sevens. They aren't half bad at the 15's too

True, especially when England used to be good too but has somehow regressed these days

As a Kiwi, well done to Australia and FIJI.
And congrats to the Ireland mens team for their bronze.
sucks to lose, but it was a great tournament.
Out of all the teams, there's just something so satisfying about beating New Zealand 😂👏
It's 7s though, everyone beats everyone.
@@Toopizzle but as Fijians the rivalry with New Zealand just makes it sweeter 🤌🏾

Well done Fiji for ending the 17 year drought.

Hats off to the Australian player who still chased the Fidjian one when it was already too late to save the try.
Incredible running from Fiji. Well done. Need to check the women's highlights, go Aussies.

Fijian 7s is beast. They should just double their teams to make a decent 15 squad lmao

Fiji can also back it up with winning the most olympic gold medals in 7s rugby
Thanks for spoiling the result in the title 🤨

Seriously world rugby. How many videos are you going to ruin by telling us who won?!? Rookie mistakes lads.
