Hello, If I buy a new Tourneo or Transit Custom and I add the Quaife mLSD as option, how can I be sure, once I receive the van, that it really includes the mLSD? Is there any switch, indicator, whatever? Thanks
The Trail versions have Quaife included. The other models will have mLSD on the back of the car when it has Quaife differentials as extra. There is no switch as this is a mechanical system.
@@Nybiltester Thanks for your answer. What does "on the back" mean? I though that mLSD applied to the front wheels, not to the back. I know that Trail versions are supposed to include mLSD. I was planning to order a Tourneo Custom Active and add mLSD as an option. What I was wondering, in any case, is that if there is any way to be sure, once I will receive the van, that the mLSD is installed (visual inspection? Any test on mud?... whatever). In other words, I would like to verify that the dealer and manufacturer include mLSD in my future van and, for example, in any trip that I need mLSD (because some mud, snow, water, whatever...), I will have it ready for action. Thanks again for your patience and answer.
@@monyucs - On the back of the car there are "badges", one with Ford, one with Tourneo and one with mLSD. When you order this from a Ford dealer I would not have a problem to trust them. I don't know how this looks underneath the car, there might be a visual under there, but not to my knowledge.
No, the Transit without Quaife Grip Control got further than I expected on this rather demanding path… but it did not get enough traction when the slippery uphill got too steep. With Quaife Grip Control it managed the steeper part too.
The name is misleading and will give people false sense of confidence to the point where they will get stuck. Despite the name, these things shouldn't go anywhere near trails without AWD.
Uhm… I’m not sure “difficult slippery road system” would be as easy to market… but of course a 4x4 system is even better for trails… I think most ppl get the idea though, despite the name of the system.

It’s not something you turn on or off... I will ask Ford Norway if there is any easy visible proof anywhere, and get back to you.
@@Nybiltester Thank you so much. I'll wait for the answer.

See the difference! Great content, no bs. Deciding to buy a Trail version. Greetings from Hungary!
It was a real difference, glad to have caught it on tape 👍🏻
I think this is the only video on here showing the trail in all its glory
It was a very slippery hill, so a brilliant place for testing it 👍🏻 Maybe I should make an English voiceover version of it?
hi is a good tourneo in the snow or not everyone says no :(
I have not tested the Tourneo with Quaife on snow… but there is a big difference to the regular system when it get slippery in the hills…
could we infer from that Nugget trail is at ease on the snow ?
Well… snow gives more traction than wet ice… but we have not driven it in snow, so can’t be certain about it…
So the Ford transit has poor traction in slippery conditions?

Well demonstrated thank you should be more videos like this
Glad you liked it. I was a teacher before I started this… so that may explain a bit ;)

Which tires and rims are on the red Transit? Thanks!
This was filmed a long time ago, but I will see if I can get this information. Tired from pics and rims from Ford Norway… can’t promise though…

Har skrevet litt om poenget med Quaife fremfor AWD for en del varebilkjøpere...
That would be my only wish for Christmas.
