I found UNFINISHED Beta Versions of RobTop levels!

- As a game with one developer, Geometry Dash should be sealed like a tight hole with leaks being a rare and practically impossible occasion. However, as time has proven again, and again, that is simply not the case, with almost every version having at least one leftover from an upcoming update. In this video we are going to have a look at unfinished beta versions of RobTop levels left in earlier versions of the game.

04:06 The gameplay of the Hexagon Force part of the level is identical to the other beta shown earlier in the video, the reason it's more difficult is that in this case you are playing it at 1x speed, as opposed to the 2x speed you're supposed to

It’s not that hard, I once made a new game mode for my HTML & JavaScript Arkanoid clone, and at one point accidentally removed half of the code and didn’t realize for 10 minutes

I love how the beta name for Fingerdash was 'Rise' because it was the second song from MDK's Rise album.
Honestly it would have been a MUCH better name, since now we have "Dash" right after "Fingerdash". Just "Bang" would have worked great too

Fr, and not even just beta levels; test areas in out-of-bounds levels/maps, glitchy places that weren't supposed to exist (cough cough the Farlands), hell even fully finished areas that just aren't accessible in the normal game

it is still pretty underdeveloped but 2.21 can change that
the fingerdash percentage change was so smooth on all of them
For cycles force, every beat in it syncs with the percent going up by 1 when 65% into the level.
This video is great and every part is carefully thought out.

It's kinda sad that "Active" was removed from the game, I would really love to see this added to the game!

i think my favourite beta level is the placeholder one. robtop truly knocked it out of the park with the outstanding, incorrect tiling
i had no idea dash was floating around for a year before being revealed
i also remember people talking about finding references to firebird in the gd world update code but i dont remember if anything came out of it

4:05 no, this is not an earlier beta version of Hexagon Force. It doesn't have double speed in the level and this is why the dual part is more difficult.
Because Hexagon Force makes its way into Cycles long after the moment the 2x speed portal is in the original level
Correction to my own comment: the slopes for the dual mode are supposed to stop and lead into jump orbs, but instead the grounds continue and then the blocks just stop out of nowhere, so it's from a straight-up early build
As for why the jumps are harder, you're right, it's the double speed

First is Beta Versions of Fingerdash (if you watched Stormfly, you will understand), then this. (unfinished beta versions of robtop levels)
In cycles force if you need more info about it the levels are merged due to some bugs and if you change the code it's normal again

The "Xstep + Cycles + Time machine" are sync with the "Active" song, i think they are hide from us that, what is mean "active" level likes that is not just a deleted level, it is divided by two versions!

I think you got the beta Cycles ios version wrong. I was uploading beta levels and ripped it from the iOS gd lite 1.12. The last level I could find in iOS gd lite 1.11 was Time Machine (excluding the placeholder level).

Where was the footage for Active found? (the level page, neptune’s v2) Is it a mock up or something that actually was in the game at some point? Can’t seem to find info on it.
It's a mock up just meant to show how the level info changed between versions
It's not even entirely accurate, as 2.0 would actually show geodominator in its place, but I felt like keeping "unknown" illustrated the point better
