    ok so i had to learn 48 lines in 2 hours and this worked! to anyone who thinks this will be a waste of time, it is not. if you do it correctly then it works sooo well. thank you soo much for this

    This is my favourite memory channel on UA-cam. I'm teaching my 4yr old son this system. So far he has used this system to memorize 10 random items, in any order. And be able to recall them weeks later. Keep these awesome videos coming :)

    I wasn't sure about this tactic at first, to be honest, but it really did work! I was able to memorize all of my lines (Shakespeare's Macbeth, "Is This A Dagger" Speech, about 30 lines long) in about 2 and 1/2 hours. Thank you so much!

    Wow this actually worked.. I had to memorize 20 lines from a Shakespeare scene for an english project and I it did within an hour.

    I'm Sir Robert Chiltern in 'An Ideal Husband' (he's one of the main characters, for anyone that is unaware), and I have 14ish days to memorise everything. I have about 60% of it already. I already have a mind palace, and I certainly shall create a new room in it for this! Thank you!

    knowing asl, and saying lines while signing, essentially speaking two languages at once, helps you dramatically with it going to your muscle memory

    THANK YOU! I will try this. I have never acted in my life and my teacher is making me be Lysander in "A Midsummers Night Dream" If that has any significance to anyone. It's a lot. I hope I can do it, this strategy may or may not work because some of my lines are not super in depth.

    I'm learning a programming language and there are many useful commands that I simply need to know to work efficiently. Each command has a description and syntax which I need to memorise. The syntax and command has to be in-ambiguous, hence I find difficulty memorising it with loci. Any tips?

    Thanks for this video. I had a 5 minute stand up set to memorise and last week messed up so bad i gave up after 2 minutes. Very embarrassing. I then looked up memory techniques, found this video and followed it. Today I memorised AND performed the full thing without notes. I won't pretend I was flawless, it's still nerve racking and only my 7th gig but near 95% recall with just a few hours work. So try it out, and give it an honest try, took me an hour of real concentration or to learn the best ways/images that suited me. The more i did it the quicker i became.

    i just learned that i got one of the main roles in the play we're doing. i searched more about the play, and i have alot of lines and songs to sing. our play is in less than one month, so this helps!

    I just thought everyone memorized things like this lol.... about a month ago i had to memorize a script for theater and present w a partner to the class and i would use the celos, the posters, and people’s shoes to help me remember

    I'm a mail carrier, so I mentally numbered all the stops on my route. There are 548 of them and after being on the same route for two years, I can visualize all of them. I see each one five days per week and that makes it easy to remember.
    I suppose if I wanted to go up to a thousand, I could walk the streets in my neighborhood, look at each home, and number them starting with 549. But really, the first fifty stops are enough to remember anything that I would want to.

    Trying to memorize a rap song. 600 words in 3minutes, in Russian.
    I often do body movements as brain trigger. For example the lyrics: rucksack on the shoulder (tip the shoulder), pain in the heart (tip heart) etc. helps a lot

    When I took a shakespeare acting class the concept of imaging. A bit of the same of what is mentioned here. Just knowing what you're talking about in the dialogue that you have mental images going through your head

      @@winter9741 Luckily he recovered before the show. While it would have been an awesome opportunity to shine, it would have been extremely difficult and stressful to attempt to memorize the entire role in just a week, so I'm grateful for the outcome

    I sort of did this, except I used my stuffed animal collection to remember each line, to memorize a Shakespearean monologue. I lost it, though, when I found myself telling a stuffed elf, that he is "a thousand times a properer man, than she a woman" (As you Like It, Act 3,Scene 5). But at least I will never forget that line😂

    In Shakespeare's time they often had just a few hours to learn a ton of text. The also kept the "roles" of the line in their custumes in case they had to look. That's why we get a "role" when we are cast in a play.

    I am going to be one of 4 or 5 speakers in my school's team in a bublic speaking event. The event is after exactly one month, we will write the speech, do the presentation, and memorize in that time. Last time I did public speaking I was a minor speaker and I forgot most of my lines. Any tips on how to prepare and say everything smoothly and volubly.

    Sir thanks for this Excellent method and this is my Favourite UA-cam channel.
    But Sir while memorising lines we should say the lines in mouth and see images or we should say the lines in mind and see images??
