My absolute favorite Thanksgiving tradition is watching the Macy’s parade. I record it every year in case I. It’s something good. I must see the Pillsbury Dough Boy, Snoopy, and the Rockettes. 💕😊💕 I love all your projects!
Our Thanksgiving is so laid back. We do all the food, but couple of tables set up. Food spread everywhere buffet-style. Eat when you want. Eat what you want. Wear what you want. Probably play games in the afternoon.
At Thanksgiving dinner we each share what we are thankful for. And as Americans we have a long list
I love Thanksgiving! Friends, family, no pressures. We enjoy visiting both "sides" of our family and are blessed that they are only within 1/2 hour of each other. We share lunch with one family and dessert and games with the other family. I'm blessed to have great cooks on both sides. :)
My favorite Thanksgiving food is stuffing-followed closely by cranberries. Kathleen-I am with you-pizza if stranded on an island.
My Thanksgiving tradition is… we have a split family so we have “Casegiving” on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. The grandchildren spend the night on Tuesday and the n Wednesday they each have a side dish they are responsible for preparing. Favorite day of the year. Thankful for family.
We don’t really have a Thanksgiving tradition. But, our Christmas tradition is having family in for a big delicious meal! Another great episode ladies🥰
Enjoyed your chatter! As my grands have gotten older, my favorite Thanksgiving tradition has become doing the dishes with them! I love what they chatter about, I love working with them and being part of a joyful, yet helpful, task!
That is awesome!
As a kid, we celebrated Thanksgiving with my mom's side of the family in Maryland the day before. The day of with my dad's side. Everyone would bring desserts and sides. The person who hosted everyone would do the meats and rolls.
A lot of wonderful memories of childhood Thanksgivings.
Now I am always the Thanksgiving host. Still enjoyable but also stressful.
My favorite Thanksgiving tradition is watching the Macy’s parade with my family. I hope you all have a happy Thanksgiving! 😊
Always enjoy your podcast - let the gift knitting begin! Our Thanksgiving traditions always include watching the Macy's Thanksgiving parade on TV, spending the day with family and friends, enjoying great food and being thankful for all life's blessings.
Love that!
My favorite Thanksgiving tradition is going for a walk with my family after a big dinner,
YES!!! Guilty pleasure….Stove Top!!! Why, oh why is it SOOOOO yummy???
Thanksgiving - I love our family’s “tuna mold,” which sounds gross but is actually delicious. It’s always an app for Thanksgiving. More traditional choice: cheesy potato casserole! Also stuffing! Pretty much: all of it!
Yes! Fingerless mitts and hats are a great gift knit. I knit three Friend to Friend shawls this year. They are a quick knit and I knit each one over 2/3 days. 😊 Instead of turkey this year we are doing a spiral cut ham.
That's a cute one -- added to my faves! ~K🧶
My favorite holiday traditions are cooking breakfast as a family for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Love that!
One of the best traditions in our family is my No Bake Cheesecake. Every time we are getting together that includes food will include this. I’m not a very good cook so this falls right into my category!
No Bake Cheesecake sounds yummy!
Loved your gift knitting segment. My fave Thanksgiving food is stuffing, hold the olives please ! 😂
My favorite Thanksgiving foods are stuffing and jellied canned cranberry sauce that you slice.
No blue ! I like the tonal neutrals. Love your choices
Thank you!
Our favourite side is Sweet Potato Pecan casserole. Made it last month for Canadian Thanksgiving.
Love Manhattan bulky hat, Monster Cable hat and Honey Cowl for quick gifts. The really knitworthy have received 3 Colour Cashmere Cowls.
Very nice!
Thank you for another great podcast. I love the gift knit and planning ideas! My favorite thing about Thanksgiving is making recipes that have been handed down for generations and enjoying a holiday that is just about spending time with loved ones and delicious food 🦃
So true!
Loved the gift knit talk! Amanda, loved your advice for planning out gift knitting! That's my favorite thing about the Holidays, the gift knitting.I make gifts year-round though, for all the occasions, so by November I'm scrambling to get Christmas gifts made! I'll now be planning gifts/people by hours! 💡
Yay - glad we could help!
My favorite Thanksgiving tradition is pumpkin pie for breakfast the next morning.
Love that!
My thanksgiving must have is mashed potatoes, I always bring those!
Since I live across the country from my family and don’t like to travel during the holidays, I cook some of dishes I would have if I was home. My scaled down version of Thanksgiving dinner is cornbread dressing, cranberry sauce, collard greens, turkey and sweet potato pie. Some years I also make potato salad.
Thanks for sharing!!
Thanks for a great vlog! My tradition for Thanksgiving, when I gather with my immediate family, I need to make my pumpkin squares and fresh cranberry sauce. Then we will talk about how we will do our gift exchange for Christmas. It is a lot fun gathering with family over food, laugh, playing board games and just spending time relaxing with family.
Sounds great!
I got yarn to make my own version of the sweater Mabel (Selena) wore a while ago, and just casted on! I love to let my daughters do the wish bone for Thanksgiving, and I enjoy carving the turkey and "sampling" some darkeat as I go.
Yum!
My favorite traditions are using the tablecloths from my grandmother, ones she would have used. One is hand crocheted by her. Love your podcast- like sitting with three of my good friends in my living room- Happy Thanksgiving🦃Happy Holidays to all Yarnians🧶🧶🧶🧶🧶
Yay! We're so glad! 🧶🧶🧶
I only cool the turkey to have pot pie 😂
Hi Kathleen, Jenn and Amanda, Thanks for another great episode and tips for gift making. Best Thanksgiving tradition is getting together with family and making my mother's delicious recipes that have been passed down!
Happy Knitting! Happy Thanksgiving!
You are so welcome!
I love the long podcast! Feels like I'm knitting with friends. I was going to gift knit but time is flying by and I can't seem to move fast without other things coming up. Have a great thanksgiving! Pizza would be my island food too Kathleen! All the best, Kimberly
Team pizza!
Enjoyed your 2hr podcast while knitting. Thanks for the knit gift giving segment too ❤ Happy Thanksgiving to you!🦃.
